본 논문은 실용음악 전공자의 진로선택에서 경험한 두려움과 미숙함을 심층적으로 탐색하고, 진로과정을 파악하여, 사회생활 살아내기를 이해하기 위한 목적으로 연구되었다. 근거 이론방법에 기초하여 사회생활을 7년 이상 경험한 20, 30대를 참여연구자로 선정하고, 인터뷰로 데이터를 수집하였고, 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩 순으로 분석을 실시하였다. 핵심범주는 ‘자각하지 못한 꿈을 시작’ 이 도출되었다. 사회생활 살아내기 모형에서 준비단계를 지난 후 도전, 좌절, 노력 단계를 여러 번 반복하였고, 그 후 전문가의 단계와 끊임없는 노력 단계로 나아갔다. 본 연구를 통하여 자기계발과 자기홍보는 기본적으로 갖추어야 하고, 센스 있는 대처능력과 좋은 인성으로 쌓은 인맥이 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 진로장벽은 도전, 좌절, 노력의 반복을 통해 해결될 수 있으며, 실용음악 전공자가 사회에서 살아낼 수 있도록 문화적인 인프라 생성이 필요하다는 결과가 도출되었다.

This paper was studied for the purpose of deep exploration of fear and inexperience experienced in career choices of practical music majors, understanding career processes, and understanding social life. Based on the evidence theory method, people in their 20s and 30s who had experienced social life for more than seven years were selected as participating researchers, collected data through interviews, and analyzed in the order of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The core category was derived from "Starting a Dream Not Recognized." After the preparatory stage in the social life-saving model, he repeated the steps of challenge, frustration, and effort several times, and then moved on to the stage of professional and constant effort. Through this study, we learned that self-development and self-promotion should be basic, and that networking built up with good human resources is important. Career barriers can be solved through repeated challenges, frustrations, and efforts, and results have been derived that cultural infrastructure creation is necessary for practical music majors to survive in society.
