The development of IOT technology and artificial intelligence technology is promoting the smartization of manufacturing system. In this study, data extracted from acceleration sensor and current sensor were obtained through experiments in the cutting process of SKD11, which is widely used as a material for special mold steel, and the amount of tool wear and product surface roughness were measured. SVR (Support Vector Regression) is applied to predict the roughness of the product surface in real time using the obtained data. SVR, a machine learning technique, is widely used for linear and non-linear prediction using the concept of kernel. In particular, by applying GSVQR (Generalized Support Vector Quantile Regression), overestimation, underestimation, and neutral estimation of product surface roughness are performed and compared. Furthermore, surface roughness is predicted using the linear kernel and the RBF kernel. In terms of accuracy, the results of the RBF kernel are better than those of the linear kernel. Since it is difficult to predict the amount of tool wear in real time, the product surface roughness is predicted with acceleration and current data excluding the amount of tool wear. In terms of accuracy, the results of excluding the amount of tool wear were not significantly different from those including the amount of tool wear.
This study investigated the preventive effect of Dendropanax morbifera leaf extracts (DMLEs) drew out with water, 30, 50 and 70% ethanol against alcohol-induced hepatotoxicity in vitro and vivo. The 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-dipenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was performed to assess cytotoxic activity of DMLEs, and the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) ranged between 1.11 and 2.08 mg/mL on Hep3B cells. In preventing ethanol-induced-hepatotoxicity on Hep3B cells, 30 and 50% ethanol DMLEs were significantly effective compared to the 5% ethanol treatment control. In addition, the 30% ethanol DMLE was orally provided to rats 30 min prior to the administration of ethanol (3 mL/kg body weight). At 1, 3 and 5 h after ethanol treatment, the plasma levels of ethanol and acetaldehyde were determined. The 30% ethanol DMLE effectively decreased the plasma ethanol levels during 5 h but increased the plasma acetaldehyde levels until 3 h and then significantly decreased at 5 h, as compared to the control. These results indicate that the 30% ethanol DMLE possesses a potent preventive effect against ethanol-induced liver toxicity in Sprague-Dawley rats.
Non-verbal communication is important in human interaction. It provides a layer of information that complements the message being transmitted. This type of information is not limited to human speakers. In human– robot communication, increasing the animacy of the robotic agent—by using non-verbal cues—can aid the expression of abstract concepts such as emotions. Considering the physical limitations of artificial agents, robots can use light and movement to express equivalent emotional feedback. This study analyzes the effects of LED and motion animation of a spherical robot on the emotion being expressed by the robot. A within-subjects experiment was conducted at the University of Tsukuba where participants were asked to rate 28 video samples of a robot interacting with a person. The robot displayed different motions with and without light animations. The results indicated that adding LED animations changes the emotional impression of the robot for valence, arousal, and dominance dimensions. Furthermore, people associated various situations according to the robot’s behavior. These stimuli can be used to modulate the intensity of the emotion being expressed and enhance the interaction experience. This paper facilitates the possibility of designing more affective robots in the future, using simple feedback.
Colon cancer has been considered a leading cause of cancer-associated death. Folic acid is a vitamin necessary for cellular physiological functions and cell viability. However, the association between folic acid intake and colon cancer has been examined in several prospective cohort studies are controversial. This study investigated the effects of folate intake on colon carcinogenesis and oxidative stress in an azoxymethane (AOM)/dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) institute for cancer research (ICR) mouse model. Thirty male ICR mice (5 weeks old) were divided into the control group and the experimental group supplied 0.03% folic acid via drinking water (50 mL/week/mouse) for 6 weeks. To induce colonic pre-neoplastic lesions, the animals were subcutaneously injected three times weekly with AOM (10 mg/kg body weight), followed by 2% DSS in drinking water for a week. Folic acid supplementation significantly suppressed the total number of aberrant crypt foci and aberrant crypts. Histological image data showed that folic acid supplementation attenuated neoplastic change. In addition, we measured the thiobarbituric acid reactive substances concentration of dry feces samples to identify the effect of folic acid on reactive oxygen accumulation. The folic acid supplementation group had reduced reactive oxygen species levels in dry feces compared to the control group. In conclusion, these findings indicate that folic acid suppresses colon carcinogenesis and oxidative stress in an AOM/DSS mouse model.
This study examined teachers’ claims of entitlement in collaborative teaching sequences where the non-leading teacher enters into the domain of another teacher’s ongoing instructional business. The data involves video recordings of second-grade elementary Korean and American teachers co-teaching math and science lessons. The analysis reveals that directives were prevalent in teacher-teacher communication, and unilaterally involved the Korean teacher making corrective remarks of American teacher’s instructions or entering to take control of classroom management. The directives were also formulated as declarative interrogatives, proposals, and imperatives, which implied the Korean teacher’s high entitlement. Also when the Korean teacher’s directive was not met with immediate compliance, it escalated into a more demanding imperative. These findings reveal the differential institutional status and power balance between the two teachers and demonstrate the analytical gains of applying conversation analysis to co-teaching interactional data. Potential implications for teacher training are discussed in light of collegiality and complementary collaborative teaching.
With the wide availability of mobile devices, efforts to accommodate these technological devices have been made in pronunciation training. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of mobile apps in improving the perception and production of the English vowels, /o/ and /ɔ/, which are difficult to discriminate and produce for Korean learners of English. The participants were 24 college freshmen enrolled in a general English course. They shadowed the model pronunciation from the application and corrected their production after instant feedback from the automatic speech recognition application. Their perception was evaluated in the preand post-tests, and the production was visually examined on the formant chart. The training was held for 5 minutes each day, for a month. The results showed that the training made positive effects on improving students’ perception of the target vowels. There was also some progress in their production although the improvement was not as noticeable as in perception. A discrepancy in the production was discovered between male and female participants with the latter performing better.
In today’s digital era, tablets are gaining popularity as reading devices. However, few studies have compared reading e-books on tablets with reading printed books and regular classroom instruction for language learning. To evaluate the role of tablets in reading and analyze the possibilities, the current study examined 97 elementary school students learning English as a foreign language in South Korea. These students were taught English once or twice a week for 11 weeks based on extensive reading using tablets (n = 42), printed books (n = 32), or regular textbook-based instruction as control (n = 23). The results indicate that literal level reading comprehension was improved the largest in the tablet group compared with the other groups. By contrast, improvements in inferential reading comprehension and grammatical knowledge were greater in those reading printed books than in the tablet group. The findings suggest that the print medium was superior for deep reading and digital texts were better for quick and shallow learning.
중국은 1979년 이후로 한자녀정책을 주요 정책으로 추진해왔고, 이로 인해 저출산 사회로 전환되었 다. 또한 발전된 보건과 의료기술로 노인들의 수명이 급격히 늘어나면서 중국의 고령화율 역시 급증하 였다. 이렇듯 수발이 필요한 고령인구는 급증하였으나, 현재 중국에는 이들을 돌볼 돌봄인력이나 인프 라가 턱없이 부족한 상태이다. 본 연구는 이러한 노인수발 문제를 해결하기 위한 제도적 해법으로 노인 장기요양보험에 주목한다. 본 연구는 중국 노인장기요양보험제도의 도입과정과 시범사업 등을 살펴본 후, 노인장기요양보험제도 도입의 선도국가인 한국으로부터 어떤 정책교훈을 얻을 수 있는지 살펴보았 다. 본 연구는 연구를 수행함에 있어 주로 문헌연구 분석을 사용하였다. 본 연구는 두 가지 의의를 갖는다. 첫째, 중국 노인장기요양보험제도의 시범사업을 개관함으로써 그 흐름은 물론 그에 관한 기초 자료를 제공하고 있다. 둘째, 중국의 노인수발 문제를 연구함에 있어 기존 연구들에서 찾아볼 수 없는 비교사회정책학적 접근법, 특히 동아시아 사회복지에 대한 비교연구를 수행하였다.
바둑은 적어도 2,500년 이상의 역사를 지녔고 그동안 인간 고유의 게임 영역으로 여겨왔으나, 2016년 컴퓨터 바둑인 알파고에 의해 제압된 마지막 보드게임이 되었다. 바둑에서의 사활문제는 컴퓨터 바둑을 구축 시 반 드시 해결해야 되는 기본 문제 영역이 된다. 연역적 추론은 이미 알고 있는 판단을 근거로 새로운 사실을 추 론하는 논리학의 용어이다. 본 논문에서는 연역적 추론을 위해 제약 충족 방법을 활용하여 사활문제와 직결 되는 3궁, 4궁, 5궁, 6궁의 원형 안형을 표현하는 4-튜플의 형식을 찾고자 했다. 이후 생성된 4-튜플의 형식 을 갖고 점 패턴 매칭을 활용하여 각 궁도의 원형 안형의 갯수를 파악하고자 했다. 실험 결과에 따른 4-튜플 형식의 갯수는 3궁 1개, 4궁 3개, 5궁 4개, 6궁 8개가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 각 궁도의 원형 안형의 갯 수는 3궁 2개, 4궁 5개, 5궁 12개, 6궁 35개가 존재함을 찾아냈다. 마지막으로 컴퓨터 바둑에서의 사활문제 해결을 위해 원형 안형들을 4-튜플 형식의 변형인 5-튜플 형식으로도 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is twofold: First, to develop new sustainable design methods (aligned with ethnic elements and traditional culture) combined with three-dimensional digital clothing technology throughout the design process, which can be presented as guideline materials for various fashion designs to be developed in contemporary sensibilities. Second, it is the intention to produce creative fashion designs by incorporating the characteristics and methods of Miao’s Huangping batik dyeing technique and to present various possibilities in the fashion design field. The overall design characteristics sought by Miao minority are in line with the complex terrain and the ecological and climatic conditions. Miaoist batik dyeing (registered as part of Chinese national intangible cultural heritage) features unique production methods and patterns. The study results are as follows. First, this attempt has enabled understanding of the national costume culture as Chinese Miao’s traditional cultural heritage to be promoted, while the direction of contemporary design development using traditional elements has been presented. Second, the study demonstrated new and innovative expressions and styles relying on three-dimensional digital contouring technology and identified the possibility of developing various designs. Third, it was confirmed that the dyed batik pattern design created by the three-dimensional digital contouring technology could be recombined or expanded as digital printing to express the traditional ethnic designs in a practical manner utilizing digital printing techniques based on traditional characteristics.
경로추종 제어는 대양에서 선박의 자율운항을 위한 가장 기본적인 연구 중에 하나로 여겨진다. 본 연구는 선수미방향, 횡방향 및 회두방향으로 외력이 작용하는 경로추종 제어를 다룬다. 가상의 선박에서 발생하는 항로를 자선이 추종하는 문제를 해결하기 위해서 유도 원리와 백스테핑 기법을 활용하였다. 경로추종 제어에서 가장 중요한 기술 중에 하나는 오차 동역학에 관한 것으로서, 이 개념은 선박의 자동 충돌 회피 및 자동 접안 제어 등과 같은 연구 영역에서도 활용이 가능하다. 유도 원리와 오차 변수의 알고리즘은 수치 시뮬레이션을 통해 증명하였다. 그 결과, 회두각의 오차를 제외한 대부분의 오차 변수는 제어기를 통하여 제로 값으로 수렴하였다. 기존에 근거리 통항선박의 간섭력을 고려한 안전통항거리의 값보다 두 선박 간의 경로추종 제어의 트래킹 오차의 값이 더 작은 점이 가장 흥미로운 결과 중에 하나로 여겨진다. 또한 프로펠러, 핀이나 러더와 같은 엑츄에이터의 손상을 줄이기 위해서는 수렴의 성능과 선박의 안전을 절충하여 적합한 제어 파라미터를 결정할 필요가 있다.
As interest in the sustainable fashion industry continues to increase along with climate issues, it is necessary to identify research trends in sustainable fashion and seek new development directions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze research trends on sustainable fashion. For this purpose, related papers were collected from the KCI (Korean Citation Index) and Scopus, and 340 articles were used for the study. The collected data went through data transformation, data preprocessing, topic modeling analysis, core topic derivation, and visualization through a Python algorithm. A total of eight topics were obtained from the comprehensive analysis: consumer clothing consumption behavior and environment, upcycle product development, product types by environmental approach, ESG business activities, materials and material development, process-based approach, lifestyle and consumer experience, and brand strategy. Topics were related to consumption, production, and education of sustainable fashion, respectively. KCI analysis results and Scopus analysis results derived eight topics but showed differences from the comprehensive analysis results. This study provides primary data for exploring various themes of sustainable fashion. It is significant in that the data were analyzed based on probability using a research method that excluded the subjective value of the researcher. It is recommended that follow-up studies be conducted to examine social trends.
The purpose of this study is to develop a knitwear design with the potential for practical use through a combination of science and design by examining the concept and formative characteristics of fractal geometry and applying them to the development of 3D virtual clothing knitwear design. This study produced five main conclusions. First, the sub-concepts of “Repeatability,” “Scale variability,” and “complexity,” which are based on self-similarity, appear together with simple regularity in the fractal formative characteristics shown in fashion design. Second, fashion fields apply fractal geometry in three-dimensional surface textures and optical textile patterns as a method of expression. Third, it was confirmed that various expressions can be created with fractal patterns by using the SDS-ONE APEX 3-4 design system; moreover, fractal patterns are a suitable design source for the development of Jacquard knitwear patterns. Fourth, in the development of knitted jacquard fractal patterns, by arranging the patterns in perspective, the effect of emphasizing or reducing the human body by optical illusion was shown. Fifth, a knit Jacquard structure with a pattern that exhibits fractal modeling characteristics and applying it to a 3D virtual clothing sample design reduces the time required for sample production while expanding the knit design’s expression area and reducing costs. Thus, the clothing sample confirmed the effectiveness of practical knitwear design development.
Ocean biogeochemistry plays a crucial role in sustaining the marine ecosystem and global carbon cycle. To investigate the oceanic biogeochemical responses to iron parameters in the tropical Pacific, we conducted sensitivity experiments using the Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean–Tracers of Ocean Phytoplankton with Allometric Zooplankton (NEMO-TOPAZ) model. Compared to observations, the NEMO-TOPAZ model overestimated the concentrations of chlorophyll and dissolved iron (DFe). The sensitivity tests showed that with increasing (+50%) iron scavenging rates, chlorophyll concentrations in the tropical Pacific were reduced by approximately 16%. The bias in DFe also decreased by approximately 7%; however, the sea surface temperature was not affected. As such, these results can facilitate the development of the model tuning strategy to improve ocean biogeochemical performance using the NEMOTOPAZ model.
Several studies investigating the behavior and environmental distribution of rare earth elements (REEs) have been reviewed to determine the geochemical processes that may affect their concentrations and fractionation patterns in groundwater and whether these elements can be used as tracers for groundwater-rock interactions and groundwater flow paths in small catchments. Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), equipped with an ultrasonic nebulizer and active-film multiplier detector, is routinely used as an analytical technique to measure REEs in groundwater, facilitating the analysis of dissolved REE geochemistry. This review focuses on the distribution of REEs in groundwater and their application as tracers for groundwater geochemistry. Our review of existing literature suggests that REEs in ice cores can be used as effective tracers for atmospheric particles, aiding the identification of source regions.
벗초파리기생벌인 A. japonica의 벗초파리 유충의 발육단계에 따른 기생특성과 기생당한 유충과 번데기에서 형태적인 차이를 조사하였다. 또한 A. japonica의 우화기간이 벗초파리 우화일수 보다 더 소요되는 것을 확인하였다. A. japonica는 벗초파리 유충에 효과적인 기생 및 살충 효과를 나타내었으며 벗초파리 방제를 위한 천적으로 활용이 가능할 것으로 보인다.
새벽기도는 한국기독교의 특징 중의 하나이다. 서구 선교사에 의해 한국에 복음이 전달되었지만, 한국의 토양에서 새벽기도는 새로운 한국교 회의 전통으로 자리 잡았다. 대부분 한국교회는 오늘날까지 매일 새벽기도 회를 하고 있다. 교회가 세워지는 곳마다 새벽기도회는 정규 시간으로 정해져 있고, 절기마다 특별 새벽기도를 하여 새벽기도의 중요성에 대한 강조와 실천을 하고 있다. 이 논문의 목적은 한국교회의 새벽기도 문화, 새벽기도 신학을 살펴보고, 상황화 관점에서 선교적으로 평가하는 것이다. 문화적 접근으로 새벽기도 형성의 역사적, 종교적, 사회적 배경으로부터 그 기원을 초기 기독교 지도자들과 평양 대부흥운동, 도교와 연관이 있다고 본다. 신학적인 면에서 새벽기도는 한국교인의 영성 훈련과 국난 위기의 극복, 교회부흥의 밑거름이 되었다. 이를 바탕으로 선교적 관점으로써 새벽기도에 대한 적합한 상황화를 논하며 종교성이 강한 아시아의 바람직한 상황화 모델로서 제안한다.
“문 없는 문”은 불교의 무문관에 나오는 공안이다. 연구자는 인간들이 공연히 문을 세우고 그 인위의 문을 통과하려고 애를 쓴다고 본다. 물론 인간이 사회적 동물이기에 그럴 수밖에 없을 것이다. 전통, 관습, 규범이 다 그런 것들이다. 데리다의 해체주의도 마찬가지다. 라캉의 말에 따라, 인간이 타자의 산물인데 어떻게 타자를 해체할 수 있단 말인가? 또 보르헤스의 말에 따라 나의 텍스트는 타자의 소산이 아니던가? 데리다가 말한 차이와 연기도 헤라클레이토스와 노자가 수 천 년 전에 이미 말하였다. 같은 물살을 두 번 체험할 수 없다고. 또 소쉬르의 기호학의 요지도 노자와 장자가 수 천 년 전에 도가도 비상도, 무위자연으로 이미 말하였다. 그래서 본고 에서 해체주의는 기존의 확립된 예이츠의 시 해석에 대한 새로운 의미의 생산에 일조 하려고 한다. 그것은 타자의 텍스트는 나의 텍스트이기에 타자의 텍스트를 해체한다는 말은 자기부정의 어불성설이기 때문이다. 데리다가 확립한 해체주의 또한 타자의 소산 으로 해체의 대상이 된다. 이런 점에서, 예이츠의 마스크 , 말씀 , 재림 을 분석한 결과 “마스크”의 불가피성, 언어게임으로서의 소통의 공식, 미래에 대한 비관적 전망 대신 기계적 낙관성을 진단하여 기존의 해석에 대한 [차연]을 실천해 볼 수 있다.
The formation of CaCO3 in microalgal culture is investigated and applied for effective separation of microalgae. The presence of several cationic ions in the culture medium mediates the formation of 3 types of mineral precipitates depending on the concentration of mineral precursors, Ca2+ and CO3 2−, amorphous nano-flakes, rhombohedral calcites, and spherical vaterites. While amorphous phased precipitates are formed for all concentrations of mineral precursor, only calcites are formed for 30 mM solutions of mineral precursor, and mixtures of calcites and vaterites are formed for 50 and 100 mM solutions of mineral precursor. The harvesting efficiency is also dependent on the concentration of the mineral precursor: from 90 % for 10 mM to 99 % for 100 mM after 60 mins’ of gravitational sedimentation. The formation of nano-flakes on the surface of microalgal cells induces the flocculation of microalgae by breaking the stable dispersion. The negatively charged surface of the microalgal cell is compatible not only with nano-flake attachment but also with the growth of calcitic crystals in which microalgal cells are embedded.
남아시아 지역 선박재활용에서 발생하는 인권침해 문제는 2000년 초반부터 지속적으로 제기되어져 왔다. 국제사회는 이러한 인권문제에 대응하기 위하여 선박재활용을 위한 선박수출을 바젤협약을 통해 규제해왔다. 그러나, 주요 해운선진국에 소재한 선주들은 바젤협약을 통한 규제를 편의치적 제도와 대리인을 통해 우회하여 제도권을 벗어난 선박재활용을 지속적으로 시행해 오고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현 제도의 한계점을 인식하고 선박재활용을 규제하기 위한 유엔인권법상 국가의무를 검토하였다. 실제, 유엔인권법은 인권침해를 야기하는 기업행위는 규제되어야 한다고 명시하고 있다. 이러한 유엔인권법상 의 규제제도는 과거 역사적인 이유로 주로 통치자 혹은 개인에게 주로 적용되어져 왔다. 하지만, 최근 다국적 기업의 인권침해 현상은 세계화와 더불어 급증하고 있으며, 이를 규제하기 위한 제도적 합의가 필요하기에 이르렀고, 유엔은 2011년 “인권과 기업에 관한 유엔인권지침”을 채택하였다. 동 지침은 유엔인권 법상 규정된 사항을 다국적 기업과 국가 관계에서 어떻게 적용할지를 다루는 법원칙을 서술하고 있다. 따라서, 남아시아에서 실시하는 대형선의 선박재활용이 대다수 다국적 해운기업의 요청에 따라 시작된다는 점에 착안하여 이러한 해운기업을 규제하기 위하여 유엔인권법상의 국가의무가 어떤 것이 있는지 본 논문에서 분석하였으며, 그리고 이러한 국가의 의무를 선박재활용과 관련하여 어떻게 적용할 수 있을 것인지 본 논문에서 살펴보았다.
