LED는 전기에너지를 빛에너지로 전환하는 효율이 높기 때문에 차세대 광원으로 주목되고 있다. 그러나 조명성능을 향상시키기 위해서는 접합부에서 발생된 열을 적절히 방출하여야 하며, 밀폐형의 경우 방열판으로 전달되는 열을 외부로 배출하는 최적의 설계가 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 LED 조명의 캐비넷 냉각시스템에 설치되는 냉각팬의 위치를 수치해석의 방법으로 고찰한 결과 y/H=0.8 근방이 최적의 위치였다.

This paper investigates the downwash effect of a rooftop structure (RTS) representing a typical RTS with jet diffusion. The effect of rooftop structure height on the severity of the downwash effect is assessed. As a result, design guidance provided for determining structure height required to avoid the downwash effect.

판형 열교환기의 유로 형상을 모사한 유동장을 대상으로 입자영상유속계를 이용 하여 속도를 계측하였으며, 시계열 속도분포를 고찰하였다. 그 결과 삼각형상 그루브 내의 유동형태는 채널흐름으로부터 전달받은 전단응력이 그루브 내부를 순환하는 회전에너 지로 전환되면서 강제와류와 유사한 달걀형의 일그러진 타원형의 주순환류가 존재하며, 레이놀즈수의 증가에 따라 전단혼합층의 상대적 영향이 감소하였다.

Dispersion conditions of exhaust gas emitted from the ship stack are varied due to the state of sea surface, ship velocity and external environment condition etc. In the certain circumstances, the exhaust gas flowing backward phenomena is appeared due to the shape of vessel structure. The negative pressure layers can appear at the rear part of deck house and cause the exhaust gas flowing backward phenomena. In this study, 1:100 scale model ship was manufactured and tested in the large wind tunnel test center to ensure the exhaust gas flow patterns. Measurement results showed that the greatest pressure point was x/H=1.55 at zone 6 and Case 2 was a relatively high wind pressure distribution.

The present study has measured the velocity distribution in a three-dimensional shape model of the rectangular settling tank using PIV system. The experiment system consists of hi-speed camera, laser and host computer. Reynolds number based on the guide wall height(H=25mm) has been applied during the whole experiments. The results showed that recirculation flow in settling tank exists and a internal flow weakly influenced by Reynolds number at Re=5×103 greater.

Flow control of flow field is essential to design efficient elements relating to fluid machineries. In this study, the flow characteristics of rectangular prism with throughflow at different aspect ratio was investigated to flow control. A particle image velocimetry technique was employed to obtain detailed measurements at throughflow-velocity-based Reynolds numbers. As a results, the throughflow disturbs the development of vertical velocity component and decreased the vortex size.

본 연구에서는 자유낙하 하는 쐐기형 구조물의 슬래밍 충격압력 및 유동특성을 알아보고자 실험을 수행하였다. 유동장의 계측은 2-프레임 그레이레벨 상호상관 PIV 기법을 이용하였으며, 자유낙하 하는 구조물의 충격압력은 압력 계측장비인 Dewetron System을 이용하였다. 모델과 자유수면간 이루는 각도는 15˚, 25˚, 35˚ 및 45˚를 적용하였으며 중량과 자유낙하의 높이에 대해서 다양성을 주어 실험하였다. 속도장은 접수보다 이수에서 빠른 유동특성을 나타냈으며, 접수에서 보다 이수에서 시간이 더 소요됨을 보였으며, 모델 하부에서의 충격압력은 모델의 45도에서 보다, 입수각이 작은 15도와 P1 지점에서 높게 나타났다.

In this paper, numerical investigation of transition characteristics in a square-sectional curved duct flow. Computational fluid dynamic(CFD) simulation was performed using the commercial CFD code FLUENT to investigate the transition characteristics. The flow development is found to depend upon Dean number and curvature ratio. The velocity profiles in center of the duct have lower value than those of the inner and outer walls.

This experimental study was investigated the flow characteristics around staggered cooling tube arrays. A particle image velocimetry technique was employed to obtain detailed measurements at inlet-velocity-based three Reynolds numbers and the frequency characteristics of the wake were analyzed by using spectral analysis of the measured wake velocity signals. As a results, the flow exhibits strong Reynolds number dependence in the developing region but no significant Reynolds number effects are observed in the spatially periodic region.

Axial flow fan under certain condition may stall. The rise in pressure across the impeller blade of an axial flow fan depends on the angle of attack. At a low back pressure, the air volume will be large and the angle of attack is small. LEDs are increasingly used for many applications including automotive, display and special lighting applications. The performance and lighting characteristics of the LED depend on cooling condition because the power LED generates lots of heat. In this study, the effect of the generated heat from power LED module on lighting characteristics and performance is measured and evaluated. For experiments, the transient temperature of a power LED module with cooling condition is measured.

해안 및 항만에 설치되는 항로표지 시설에 3색 LED를 적용하여 야간에 식별을 용이하게 하는 감성적 시각의 조명과 항만 진입등의 점멸제어 방식에 대하여 연구하였다. 항만 양측에 홍등, 백등의 항로표지를 주변의 조명과 차별화하여 식별을 쉽게 하였고, GPS에 의한 시각동기와 타이머를 통하여 항만 진입등을 좌우 및 일렬순차 점등으로 동기시키는 통합형 콘트롤러를 설계하였다. LED에 의한 AtoN(Aids to Navigation) 시설을 높이에 따른 층별 색상으로 조화시키고 감성조명으로 표현하여 항해사의 표지식별에 대한 혼란을 방지하며 야간항만의 경관을 미화시키는 효과를 얻었다. 또한 선박의 항만진입을 인도하는 메시지를 전달하는 모르스 부호 발광의 기능을 부가적으로 구현하였다. 등명기는 반영구적인 고휘도 LED로 대체되므로써 수명과 소비전력에 대한 효율성을 증대하였다.

이 연구에서는 정사각 단면을 갖는 덕트 내부에 원심력의 영향을 받는 유동의 천이특성을 실험 및 수치적으로 규명하였다. 실험적 연구로서 레이저도플러 속도계를 이용하여 축방향속도를 측정하였고, 상용소프트웨어인 플루언트를 이용한 전산유체 시뮬레이션으로 천이특성을 고찰하였다. 유동의 발달은 딘수와 굽힘각에 의존한다는 사실을 알 수 있었으며 덕트의 중앙에서의 속도분포는 원심력 때문에 내외벽보다 낮은 값을 나타내었다.
