        The results of internal temperature. productivity and immunity analysis of the laying hen house by the thermal environment and the supply of cold drinking water were as follows. The external temperature was changed from the minimum of 18℃ at night and the maximum of 36℃ during the day, and the internal temperature of the laying hens varied from 20~31℃. Thermal imaging analysis showed that the body temperature of the laying hen decreased by 2.4℃ with the supply of drinking water. The laying hen amount increased 2.36g and laying hen rate increased 3.62%p. Albumin increased 6.1%, decreased AST 15%, and decreased cholesterol 12.7%. Immune activators increased and T cells and B cells increased to increase immunity.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the distribution characteristics of mist spray particle size by devising a rotary mist spraying device to develop the evaporative salt water desalination system. The rotary mist spraying device was consisted of a BLDC sirocco fan, a spinning fan, a fan fixed shaft and a salt water supply device etc. In this study we analyzed the characteristics of spray particle size and distribution according to the variation of sirocco fan surface roughness(Ra, μm), revolutions(rpm) and salt water flow rate(mL/min). When sirocco fan surface roughness( Ra) was in the range of 0.27~7.65 μm, the spray particle size was 0.117~1.360 μm. And then more than 90% of spray particles were found to be less than 0.50 μm. When sirocco fan surface roughness(Ra) was in the range of 12.70~22.84 μm, the spray particle size was 2.51~184.79 μm and more than 98% of spray particles were found to be less than 13.59 μm. To analyze the effect of fan rotation speed on the size and distribution of spray particles, when surface roughness Ra was fixed 0.27 μm and fan rotation speed and salt water flow rate was respectively changed at 3,800~5,600 rpm and 2.77~8.28 mL/min, spray particle size was 0.341~0.541 μm. And when salt water flow rate was 9.74 mL/min and fan rotation speed was 3,800~5,200 rpm, spray particle size was in the range of 29.29~341.46 μm and in case of 5,600 rpm more than 98.23% of spray particles were in the range of 2.51~13.59 μm.

        본 연구에서는 고설 딸기 관부(크라운부) 난방시스템을 전기 온수 보일러, 축열조, 순환 펌프, 관부난방 배관 (백색 연질 PE관, 관경 16mm) 및 온도 제어반으로 구성하였다. 관부(크라운부) 난방의 경우 난방 배관을 딸기 관부에 최대한 밀착될 수 있도록 설치하고 배관 위치를 원예용 고정핀으로 고정하였다. 또한 관부 난방시스템의 에너지 효율을 증진하기 위해 축열조 온수 온도를 20~23oC, 관부 온도를 13~15oC로 관리하였다. 관부난방은 전기 온수보일러를 이용하여 20~23oC의 온수를 축열조에 저장하고 순환펌프를 제어하기 위한 온도 센서를 딸기의 관부에 최대한 근접하여 설치하고 온도를 감지함 으로써 관부(크라운부)를 집중적으로 난방하는 방식이다. 시험 온실의 난방 처리는 공간 난방 4oC + 관부난방(처 리 1), 공간 난방 8oC (대조구), 공간 난방 6oC + 관부 난방(처리 2)로 처리하였다. 각 난방처리는 온실 1동에 딸기를 980주를 심었으며, 재배방법은 표준재배법에 준해서 재배하였다. 난방 에너지 소비에 대한 비교시험은 2017년 11월 8일부터 2018년 3월 30일까지 수행되었다. 소비된 누적 전력량은 등유 사용량으로 환산하였고, 등유 소비량은 공간난방 8oC(대조구)의 경우 1,320L (100%), 공간난방 4oC + 관부난방의 경우 928L(70.3%), 공간난방 6oC + 관부난방의 경우 1,161L (88%)로 계측 되었다. 공간난방 4oC + 관부난방(처리 1) 및 공간난방 6oC + 관부난방(처리 2)은 8oC 공간난방(대조구)에 비해 생육 저하, 수확시기의 지연 등이 없이 비슷하게 딸기 수확이 가능하였으며, 29.7% 및 12%의 난방 에너지가 절감되는 것으로 분석되었다.

        In this study, we prepare pure WO3 inverse opal(IO) film with a thickness of approximately 3 μm by electrodeposition, and an ultra-thin TiO2 layer having a thickness of 2 nm is deposited on WO3 IO film by atomic layer deposition. Both sets of photoelectrochemical properties are evaluated after developing dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs). In addition, morphological, crystalline and optical properties of the developed films are evaluated through field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), High-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HR-TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and UV/ visible/infrared spectrophotometry. In particular, pure WO3 IO based DSSCs show low VOC, JSC and fill factor of 0.25 V, 0.89 mA/cm2 and 18.9 %, achieving an efficiency of 0.04 %, whereas the TiO2/WO3 IO based DSSCs exhibit VOC, JSC and fill factor of 0.57 V, 1.18 mA/cm2 and 50.1 %, revealing an overall conversion efficiency of 0.34 %, probably attributable to the high dye adsorption and suppressed charge recombination reaction.

        Beta-carotene is the most prominent member of the group of carotenoids, natural colorants that occur in the human diet. Beta-carotene is also an effective source of vitamin A in both conventional foods and vitamin supplements, and it’s generally safe. In this study, we explored the beta-carotene contents in agricultural products widely and specifically grown in Korea. The beta-carotene contents were ranging from 223 to 27,908 μg/100 g in leaves, and 0 to 7,588 μg/100 g in vegetables. In leaves and vegetables, the amount of beta-carotene was the highest in green tea powder (27,908 μg/100 g), followed by pepper (7,588 μg/100 g). In fruits, the beta-carotene content was found to range from 0 μg/1,011 g to maximum of 293.66 μg/100 g(plumcot). However, there beta-carotene was not detected in strawberry. In the case of cereals and specialty crops, the beta-carotene contents were 326 μg/100 g for non-glutinous rice, 313 μg/100 g for glutinous rice, 57 μg/100 g for amaranth and 15 μg/100 g for pine nut, respectively. However, the beta-carotene content was not detected in other samples. This study revealed the presence of beta-carotene content in agricultural products specifically grown in Korea for nutritional information and food composition database.

        The objective of this study was to analyze the free sugar contents of ten kinds of fruits and fruit vegetables that were collected from many district in Korea. The analyzed results will be used as basic nutrition component reference to processing. The results were summarized as follows. The total free sugar contents among the ten kinds of fruit vegetables was highest in grape. The contents of glucose, fructose and sucrose were 6.39%, 6.27%, 0.28%, respectively. The average total sugar contents of four cultivar of apple was 11.42% and average fructose contents was 6.13%. The free sugar contents of thirteen samples of the same cultivar of apple were all differing with statistical significance. The average total free sugar contents of eight cultivar of peach was 8.66%. In case of tomato, glucose content was approximately 1.35~2.83% and fructose was 1.26~2.51%. The contents of glucose, fructose and sucrose in paprika were 2.19%, 2.06%, 0.1%, respectively.

        The Korean Astronomical Society (KAS) Education & Public Outreach Committee has provided education services for children and school teachers in Cambodia over the past three years from 2016 to 2018. In the first year, 2016, one KAS member visited Pusat to teach astronomy to about 50 children, and in the following two years of 2017 and 2018, three and six KAS members, respectively, executed education workshops for ∼ 20 (per each year) local school teachers in Sisophon. It turned out that it is desirable to include both teaching of astronomical knowledge and making experiments and observations in the education in order for the program to be more effective. Language barrier was the main obstacle in conveying concepts and knowledge, and having a good interpreter was very important. It happens that some languages, such as the Khmer of Cambodia, do not have astronomical terminologies, so that lecturers and even the education participants together are needed to communicate and create appropriate words. Handout hardcopies of the education materials (presentation files, lecture/experiment summaries, terminologies, etc.) are extremely helpful for the participants. Actual performing of assembling and using astronomical telescopes for night sky observations has been lifetime experience for some of the participants, which might promote zeal for knowledge and education. It is hoped that these education services for developing countries like Cambodia can be regularly continued in the future, and further extended to other countries such as Laos and Myanmar.

        The multi-layer insulating curtains used in the experiment was produced in six combinations using non-woven fabric containing aerogel and compared and analyzed by measuring heat flux and heat perfusion rates due to weight, thickness and temperature changes. Using silica aerogel, which have recently been noted as new material insulation, this study tries to produce a new combination of multi-layer insulating curtains that can complement the shortcomings of the multi-layer insulating curtains currently in use and maintain and improve its warmth, and analyze the thermal properties. The heat flux means the amount of heat passing per unit time per unit area, and the higher the value, the more heat passing through the multi-layer insulating curtain, and it can be judged that the heat retention is low. The weight and thickness of multi-layer insulation curtains were found to be highly correlated with thermal insulation. In particular, insulation curtains combined with aerogel meltblown non-woven fabric had relatively higher thermal insulation than insulation curtains with the same number of insulation materials. However, the aerogel meltblown non-woven fabric is weak in light resistance and durability, and there is a problem that the production process and aerogel are scattering. In order to solve this problems, the combination of expanded aerogel non-woven fabric and hollow fiber non-woven fabric, which are relatively simple manufacturing processes and excellent warmth, are suitable for use in real farms.

        With the recent accelerated policy-making and interests in new renewable energy, plans to develop and supply the new renewable energy have been devised across multiple regions in Korea. Solar energy, in particular, is being applied to small-scale power supply in provincial areas, as solar cells are used to convert solar energy into electric energy to produce electric power. Nonetheless, in the case of solar power plants, the need for a large stretch of land and considerable sum of financial support implies that the planning step should take into consideration the most suitable meteorological and geographical factors. In this study, the proxy variables of meteorological and geographical factors associated with solar energy were considered in analyzing the vulnerable areas regarding the photovoltaic power generation facility across the nation. GIS was used in the spatial analysis to develop a map for assessing the optimal location for photovoltaic power generation facility. The final vulnerability map developed in this study did not reveal any areas that exhibit vulnerability level 5 (very high) or 1 (very low). Jeollanam-do showed the largest value of vulnerability level 4 (high), while a large value of vulnerability level 3 (moderate) was shown by several administrative districts including Gwangju metropolitan city, Jeollabuk-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Gangwon- do. A value of vulnerability level 2 (low) was shown by the metropolitan cities including Daegu, Ulsan, and Incheon. When the 30 currently operating solar power plants were compared and reviewed, most were found to be in an area of vulnerability level 2 or 3, indicating that the locations were relatively suitable for solar energy. However, the limited data quantity for solar power plants, which is the limitation of this study, prevents the accuracy of the findings to be clearly established. Nevertheless, the significance of this study lies in that an attempt has been made to assess the vulnerability map for photovoltaic power generation facility targeting various regions across the nation, through the use of the GIS-based spatial analysis technique that takes into account the diverse meteorological and geographical factors. Furthermore, by presenting the data obtained for all regions across the nation, the findings of this study are likely to prove useful as the basic data in fields related to the photovoltaic power generation.

        본 연구에서는 식품섭취량 데이터를 활용하여, 한국인의 식습관을 분석하고 관리방향을 제안하였다. 국민건강영양 조사의 원시자료를 활용하고, 국내 대표적 식품 분류체계인 식품공전을 반영해서 품목수 839개(세부품목수 1,419개)를 대상으로 실시하였다. 일일 총 식품섭취량은 1,585.77 g/day 이고, 그 중 원재료식품은 858.96 g/day(54.2%), 가공식품은 726.81 g/day(45.8%)로 산출되었다. 식품군별 식품섭취량은, 곡류가 가장 높은 비율을 차지했고, 식품섭취량 상위15위 식품군 중 90% 이상의 대상자가 섭취하는 목록으로는 곡 류(99.06%), 근채류(95.80%)로 나타났다. 품목별 분석에 의하면 주요 다소비(일일식품섭취량 1%이상 섭취, 158.6 g/ day) 및 다빈도(일일평균 국민 25% 이상 섭취, 5,168명) 품목은 쌀, 배추김치, 사과, 무, 달걀, 고추, 양파, 밀, 두부, 감자, 오이, 돼지고기로 산출되었다. 섭취빈도 중심의 상위순위 목록은 주로 한식양념 재료들이 포함되었다. 김치류는 배추김치(64.89 g/day)의 섭취량 비율이 67%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 주류의 경우 섭취량 및 섭취빈도 모두 상위 5위 안에 포함되어 있으며, 세부적인 섭취량은 맥주 (63.53 g/day), 소주(39.11 g/day), 막걸리(19.70 g/day) 순으로 높았고, 섭취빈도는 소주(11.3%), 맥주(7.2%), 청주(6.6%) 순으로 높게 산출되었다. 2010년부터 2015년도 식품섭취 량 추이에서 곡류는 꾸준하게 감소하고, 음료류는 다소 증가하는 추세였다. 주류의 섭취빈도에서는 일부 종류인 막걸리, 와인, 청주, 복분자주에서 년도별로 감소하는 경향 이었고, 김치류도 감소하는 추세였다. 식품 섭취패턴은 체내노출과 직접적인 영향이 있으며, 식품섭취량이 높은 식품과 섭취빈도가 높은 식품 모두 관리가 중요하지만, 우 리나라 섭취 특성을 고려하여 국내에 적합한 안전관리 방안 마련이 필요하다. 식품 섭취로 인한 유해오염물질의 노출량 관리를 위해서 다소비 식품은 섭취용량과 관련이 높으므로 식품의 오염도 관리 중심으로 다빈도 식품은 섭취 기간과 관련이 높으므로 섭취시 장기노출로 인한 체내축적 중심으로 접근하는 것을 권장한다.
