        본 연구는 신선편이 식품에서 오염 가능성이 있는 병원성 식중독 균 E. coli O157:H7에 대해 파프리카에서 성장 예측 모델을 적용하고, 본 연구에서 개발된 성장 예측 모델을 내부 검증하였다. 이를 비교하여 신선편이 식품을 안 전하게 관리하기 위한 적절한 모델을 제시하고자 하였다. 파프리카에 E. coli O157:H7접종하여 온도에 따라 12, 24, 30, 36℃에 보관하여 성장을 측정하였다. Gompertz 식을 이용하여 온도에 따른 성장곡선을 그리고 LT와 SGR을 산출하였다. 산출된 LT와 SGR은 각각 Davey model 와 squareroot model를 이용하여 2차 모델을 개발하였다. 개발된 2차 모델에 대하여 LT 와 SGR model의 R2값은 각각 0.999, 0.994로 1에 근접하는 높은 적합성을 보였다. 또한 내부 검정 결과 LT 와 SGR model 의 Bf 값은 각각 1.01, 0.89, LT model은 안전하게 SGR model 위험하게 예측되었다. 파프리카의 LT와 SGR의 상대적인 오차 값은 모두 허용 가능한 오차 범위에 포함 되었다. 따라서 개발된 모델을 이용하여 온도에 따른 E. coli O157:H7성장을 추정할 수 있으며, 이를 위해평가 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

        본 연구에서는 고정자와 회전자에 의해 발생하는 전단력(Shearing force)을 이용한 선박용 연료유 균질기(Homogenizer) 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 균질기의 균질화 및 미립화 정도에 대한 성능을 조사하기 위하여 IFO 380 cSt Bunker-C 시료에 전처리(Pre-treatment)를 시행하였다. 전처리한 시료의 슬러지(Sludge) 저감 효과를 확인하기 위하여 유청정기(Oil purifier)를 이용하였다. 실험결과 균질기로 전처리한 시료에서 슬러지양이 약 13 % 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 전처리 후 유청정한 시료를 실제 보일러 시스템에서 연소시켜 CO가 감소하는 연소특성 경향을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 개발된 선박용 연료유 균질기를 실선에 적용할 경우 연료비 및 운항비용 절감 효과가 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        This study investigated reduction of microbial population, water soluble pigment, capsanthin content, surface color (Hunter L, a, b, ΔE), and sensory properties of pepper powder by LED (red, yellow, blue, green) treatments. LED (red, yellow, blue, green) treatment were conducted in 1,000 lux storage at 25oC for 10 days. The total aerobic bacteria was no significant difference among the control and treated with LED during 10 days. In yellow LED treatment, yeast and molds were decreased about 1.76 log. Surface color such as lightness (L), redness (a), yellowness (b) were showed a decreasing tendency as the storage period. In the overall color difference (ΔE) of yellow LED treatment was lower less than 3.0. Water soluble pigment was no difference in control and LED treated samples during storage period. Capsanthin content was significantly decreased as storage period was increased, but no significant differences were observed among red and yellow LED treatments. Sensory properties of control was significantly reduced by storage period but yellow and green LED treatments were no significantly differences.

        The purpose of this study was to identify control points through microbiological hazard analysis in the manufacturing processes of starch noodles. Samples were collected from the ingredients, manufacturing processes, equipment and environment. Microbiological hazard assessments were performed using aerobic plate counts (APC), Enterobacteriaceae (EB), E. coli and five pathogens including B. cereus, E. coli O157:H7, L. monocytogenes, Salmonella spp., and S. aureus. The APC levels in raw materials were from 2.12 to 3.83 log CFU/g. The contamination levels after kneading were 4.31 log CFU/g for APCs and 2.88 log CFU/g for EB counts. APCs decreased to 1.63 log CFU/g and EB were not detected after gelatinization, but their levels slightly increased upon cooling, cutting, ripening, freezing, thawing, and separating. The reuse of cooling and coating water would be a critical source of microbial increase after cooling. After drying, APCs and EB counts decreased to 5.05 log CFU/g and 2.74 log CFU/ g, respectively, and the levels were maintained to final products. These results suggest that the cooling process is a critical control point for microbiological safety, and the cooling water should be treated and controlled to prevent cross contamination by pre-requisite program.

        이 연구에서는 친환경 선박용 재료로 각광받는 탄소나노물질에 대하여 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 탄소나노물질의 합성을 위한 열원으로서는 대향류 메탄 화염을 이용하였다. 탄소나노물질 합성을 위한 촉매로서는 페로센을 사용하였다. 합성 특성을 파악하기 위한 주요 파라메타로는 대향류 메탄 화염에 수소의 혼합 비율과 샘플링 위치를 변화시켰다. 탄소나노물질의 성향은 SEM과 TEM 이미지를 이용하여 결정되었다. 실험 결과로서는 수소의 혼합 비율이 증가할수록 탄소나노물질의 생성이 잘 이루어졌다. 또한 대향류 메탄 확산화염 내 탄소나노튜브의 생성을 위한 적정 온도로는 1500 K 정도가 적당하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

        The objective of this study was to investigate and evaluate microbial contamination levels of leafy greens (perilla leaf and lettuce) and its distributing conditions at different seasons (Feb, May, Aug, and Nov of the year 2011) in order to provide insight into any potential health hazards associated with consumption of these commodities. Leafy greens were collected from a farm located in Geumsan, Chungnam and wholesale markets (WM) and traditional markets (TM) located in Suwon. At the same time, temperature and relative humidity fluctuations experienced by the leafy greens during distribution from the farm to the distribution center were measured by a data logger. The contamination levels of perilla leaf and lettuce were determined by analyzing total plate count. Coliform groups, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes and Staphylococcus aureus were determined. The contamination levels of total aerobic bacteria, coliform groups and B. cereus in both vegetables sampled during May and August found to be higher than those sampled during February and November. E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., L. monocytogenes were not detected in the vegetables analyzed in this study. There were no significant trends between samples at WM and TM in the contamination levels. Relative humidity of vegetables distributed from the farm to the distribution center showed over 90% during distribution regardless of measured seasons. In the case of background microflora on leafy greens, the density was significantly increased at 20, 30 and 37oC during storage of 24h. E. coli O157:H7 and B. cereus inoculated on the leaves also showed similar increases in the storage tests. The microbial contamination levels determined in this study may be used as the fundamental data for microbial risk assessment.

        This study was performed to compared the effectiveness of individual treatments (electrolyzed water: EW, organic acid, and ultrasound) and their combination on reducing foodborne pathogens from perilla leaves. Perilla leaves were innoculated with a cocktail of Salmonella Typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus. Inoculated perilla leaves were treated with EW combined with different concentration of acetic acid (0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%) for 1 min at room temperature. Treatment of 3 pathogens on perilla leaves with electrolyzed water combined with ultrasound (25 kHz) and 0.5% acetic acid was also performed for 1 min. While the numbers of S. Typhimurium and B. cereus showed reduced with increasing acetic acid concentration, there is no difference in the number of S. aureus treated with EW containing 0.5% to 1.5% acetic acid. Discoloration was observed the perilla leaves treated with EW combined with more than 1.0% acetic acid. For all three pathogens, the combined treatment of EW and ultrasound resulted in additional 0.42 to 0.72 log10 CFU/g. The maxium reductions of S. Typhimurium and B. cereus were 0.95, 1.23 log10 CFU/g after treatment with EW combined with 0.5% acetic acid and ultrasound simultaneously. The results suggest that the treatment of EW combined with 0.5% acetic acid and ultrasound increased pathogens reduction compared to individual treatment.

        This study was conducted to provide strategies for the reduction of plate waste and prevention of plate waste reuse in foodservice operations. To achieve these goals, we surveyed the entrepreneurs of foodservice operations, professionals in the field of foodservice management and food safety, and public officials working for food safety enforcement about their perceptions and strategies on plate waste management. The professionals’ survey indicated that definition of plate waste needed to be clear for understanding. Also Korean food culture insisting on abundance and variety table settings, foodservice owners' demands for cost reduction, and foodservice workers' insufficient safety perceptions were indicated to bring forth the practice to reuse plate waste. The effective ways to control plate waste management were systematic educational supports for Korean food culture upgrade among consumers and improvements of safety perceptions among owners, as well as workers. Also small portion size was needed to reduce plate waste.

        Five kinds of selective media, such as mannitol salt agar (MSA), Baird-Parker agar (BPA), Baird- Parker supplemented with rabbit plasma fibrinogen (BPA+RPF), CHROMagar Staphylococcus aureus (CSA), and Petrifilm Staph Express count system (Petrifilm), were compared to recommend the optimum selective media for isolation of Staphylococcus aureus from agricultural products. Seventy four target and non target bacteria were inoculated on five selective media to analyze sensitivity and specificity. In the recovery test of injured S. aureus cells, S. aureus was exposed to acid (1% lactic acid for 10 min), heat (60oC for 90s), and cold (−20oC for 1h) conditions. And artificially contaminated agricultural products (iceberg lettuce, green pepper, and cherry tomato) was enumerated on five selective media. The sensitivity of BPA+RPF, CSA, Petrifilm, MSA, and BPA were 100%, 100%, 100%, 90.5%, 90.5%, respectively. In addition, the specificity of BPA+RPF, CSA, MSA, BPA and Petrifilm were 100%, 100%, 84.6%, 75.0%, 67.3%, respectively. However, no difference among five selective media was observed in recovery on injured S. aureus cell and enumeration from agricultural products. This results suggest that BPA+RPF and CSA are the optimum media for detection of S. aureus from agricultural products.

        This study was to evaluate the growth potential of E. coli O157:H7 in lettuce leaf extracts and on lettuce leaf surface at various temperatures. The pathogen can survive and multiply in the extracts and leaf surface of lettuce. The population of E. coli O157:H7 in the lettuce extracts reached to 4.79 log CFU/mL at 37℃. The multiplication of pathogen in lettuce extracts initiated within 10 hours of inoculation over 15℃ conditions. And it can survive in the lettuce leaf extracts at 4℃ for 100 hours at least. And this pathogen can multiply on lettuce leaf surface and the population of pathogen on the lettuce leaf surface increased to 1.82 log CFU/g at 25℃. At 37℃, the pathogen density increased to 1.53 CFU/g within 3 days after inoculation. At all temperature, irrespective of the inoculation level, similar trends in growth of E. coli O157:H7 were observed. These results emphasize the growth potential of E. coli O157:H7 in lettuce leaf extract and on lettuce leaf surface. To reduce the risk of outbreak, it is important to maintain the cold chain system during storage before the consumption.

        Produce, including leafy vegetables, has been implicated in several outbreaks of food illness. To evaluate microbiological safety of lettuce and it’s cultivation area, a total of 147 samples were collected from lettuce farms and post harvest facility at Icheon, Gyeonggi province. The collected samples were assessed for presence of sanitary indicator microorganisms (Aerobic plate count, coliform count, Escherichia coli) and foodborne pathogens (Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus). The population of APC was over 4.0 log CFU from most of the samples. While the numbers of APC, and coliform of lettuce at 62 days after transplanting were 4.18 log CFU/g, and 1.00 log CFU/g, respectively, those of 10 days after transplanting were 5.37 log CFU/g, and 2.87 log CFU/g, respectively. B. cereus was highly detected from soil and balance which were contaminated with 3.5 log CFU/g, and 2.6 log CFU/100 cm2, respectively. The number of E. coli recovered from gloves was 3.5 log CFU/hand. However, E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., and L. monocytogenes were not detected. These data suggested that risk management system should be introduced to lettuce farms to enhance safety of lettuce.

        목적: 초등학교에서 보건교사가 실시하고 있는 보건교육 내용 가운데 ``눈과 시력 및 시력관리``에 관한 교육현황을 파악하여 성장 발육기에 있는 초등학생의 근시발생 및 진행을 예방할 수 있는 보건교육의 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 방법: 2010년 9월부터 2011년 1월까지 경기도 오산시, 화성시, 수원시 초등학교에 재직하고 있는 보건 교사 65명을 대상으로 우편에 의한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 중에서 불성실하게 응답한 12명의 설문지와 설문에 응하지 않은 5명을 제외한 48명을 검사대상으로 선정하였다. 수집된 설문은 SPSS 12.0K Window를 이용하여 전산처리하였으며, 자료분석은 빈도와 백분율로 하였다. 결과: 보건교사는 5, 6학년을 대상으로 1년에 17차시의 보건교육을 실시하고 있었고, 초등학교 교육과정에 명시되어 있는 보건교육 중 ``시력저하예방 교육``을 실시하고 있는 교사는 18.7%로 조사되었다. 보건교사가 원하는 시력저하 예방교육에 관한 정보 제공 형태로는 ``세미나/워크샵``이 58.3%로 가장 많았으며, 학생들을 대상으로 실시하는 시력저하 예방교육 중 가장 선호하는 교육 형태는 눈알사진 또는 눈알실제모형을 이용한 눈과 시력에 관한 체험수업이었고(54.2%), 보건수업 시간을 활용한 눈 건강 관리교육은 31.2%, 전문기관에서 시력검사 후 시력에 관한 교육은 14.6%, 시청각자료를 활용한 교육은 14.6%, 눈 운동 16.7%, 개인상담 2.1%로, 체험학습과 눈과 시력에 관한 교육을 선호하는 것으로 조사되었다. 결론: 초등학교 보건교사들이 눈과 시력에 관한 정보를 제공받을 수 있는 기회가 거의 없고, 눈과 시력에 관한 보건교육의 실태는 매우 미흡한 상태이므로, 보건교사를 대상으로 눈과 시력에 관한 전문적인 보건교육을 강화할 필요성이 있다.

        The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the consumption behavior and perceptions of environment-friendly agricultural products(EAPs) by university students in the Chonbuk area, Korea. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 309 university students(male 33.0%, female 67.0%). Descriptive and comparative statistical analyses was completed using SPSS v. 12.0. The percentage of subjects who purchased EAPs was 70.9%. Of those, 87.2% had EAPs purchased by their mothers. The most purchased EAPs were vegetables, the primary reason for which was the perception of ``good for health``(73.1%). The main information source about EAPs was ``familes/freinds``. The average scores of ``attitude toward EAPs``, ``knowledge toward EAPs``, ``concern toward EAPs`` were 3.76±0.57, 2.91±0.61 and 3.29±0.43, respectively. With regards to ``attitude toward EAPs``, the scores were significantly affected by ``self-reported health status``(p<0.05). With regard to ``knowledge toward EAPs`` and ``concern toward EAPs``, the scores were significantly affected by ``supplements for health`` (p<0.05; p<0.001). For university students` right choices of EAPs, information and consumer education wthin the university curriculum on these products are necessary.

        목 적: 본 연구는 안경광학과 교육과정의 질적 향상을 위해 학내·외의 교육과정에 대한 요구를 바탕으로 대학 전공 교육의 개선점을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 방 법: 설문을 통해 경기도, 경남, 전남, 전북에 소재 대학의 재학생 507명과 서울시, 대전시, 경기도, 전북에 근무하는 안경사 138명을 대상으로 안경광학과 전공교과목에 대한 요구도를 비교 ·분석하였다. 결과: 안광학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 기하광학 과목이 가장 높았으며, 두 집단(재학생과 안경사)간 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .01). 안과학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 안질환 과목이 가장 높았으며, 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .01). 안경학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 안경재료학 과목이 가장 높았으며, 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .05). 검안학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 굴절검사학 과목 평균점수가 4점 이상으로 가장 높았으며, 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보여주었다(p < .05). 4개 전공 영역의 요구도 비교에서는 2집단 모두 검안학 영역이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 안경학, 안과학, 안광학 영역 순으로 나타났다. 결론: 안경사는 실습 4개 과목 중에서 굴절검사 과목 확대 요구도가 재학생 보다 높게 나타났다. 이들의 요구를 전공 교육에 반영하여 안경원에서 보다 유용한 시력검사를 할 수 있도록 굴절검사와 관련된 과목의 확대와 강화가 요구된다.

        For this study, 18 kinds of cut and sew or seamless knitted test garment were made. Samples differed from each other by skirt angles(90°, 180°), gauges(7G, 12G, 15G), and grain directions(bias direction, wale direction, and radial direction). After measuring the mechanical properties of various gauges on the seamless knitting machine, I compared shape of the knitted flare skirt through subjective evaluation on appearances. The data analysis methods used in this study were descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Duncan-test, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The subjective evaluation on appearances of knitted flare skirts showed the following: In case of 90° skirt, the seamless skirt showed a much higher score in every gauge expect that of the cut and sew 12G, and silhouette of 15G wale direction. In case of the 180° skirt, the seamless type showed a much higher score in every item over the cut and sew expect the silhouette part of 7G wale direction.

        This study is focused on the elucidation of efficient and correct marking methods by comparing and analyzing marker efficiency depending on the marking job condition such as interval of checking-pattern and marker orientation using woman's Jacket and Slacks. Research Method intended to compare the marking efficiency of Jacket and Slacks, check-less and check- patterned materials with the intervals of 1.5×1.5cm and 5×5cm were selected. First, in the comparison of marking efficiency depending on check-pattern interval, regardless of the direction of marker position, single-item makers and set-item makers, the efficiency of check-less materials was higher than those of check-patterned materials and increasing the intervals decreased marking efficiency and vice versa. Marking efficiency of Slacks was less influenced than marking efficiency of Jacket by check-pattern interval. Second, in the comparison of marking efficiency depending on the direction of marker position, regardless of check-pattern interval and number of maker pieces, the efficiency of nap-up-and-down position was higher than those of nap-one-way position. Third, the marking efficiency of single-item was more effective than one of set-item in all working condition except nap-one-way position in checkless materials.

        The purpose of this study was to develop the pattern-making for Korean glove. To develop the pattern-making for glove this study comprehensive list of candidate hand data was reviewed and the manufacturers(career over th 15 years) were interviewed on the method of glove. The results of regression analysis(hand data) were as follows (unit: cm): wrist thumb tip length = middle finger length + 3.22, hand bread = 1.25 × middle finger length + 2.18, middle finger breadth at dist = 0.23 × index finger circumference + 0.4, maximum hand circumference = 3.15 × index finger circumference + 4.13, middle finger circumference = 0.91 × index finger circumference + 0.47, maximum hand thickness = 0.69 × index finger circumference -0.02. Hand measurements for glove pattern-making were developed: There were palmar hand length, hand circumference, index finger circumference and middle finger length.

        This study was conducted in search of the acceptance level of air traffic services from domestic airlines pilot's perspective in comparison with male controllers and female controllers. Pilots responded to the questionnaire that female ATC controllers are of significance to male controllers in terms of pronunciation, accuracy of English grammar, attitude and kindness. Besides, The ICAO aviation English proficiency level four test revealed that female controllers were found superior to male controllers in terms of rating scales of holistic descriptors.
