The experiment aim to breed an early-maturing variety of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.). It was conducted at the Grassland and Forage Crops Division, National Institute of Animal Science, RDA, Cheonan, Korea, from 2022 to 2023. The new variety named “Oasis” is a diploid with green leaves and has a semi-erect growth habit in late fall, and an erect growth habit in early spring. With a heading date of May 10, Oasis is categorized as an early-maturing variety. Compared with the “Florida80” as a control variety, Oasis’s flag leaf was 1 mm wider and 2 cm shorter, while the plant length was 7.8 cm longer. Additionally, the ear of Oasis was 1.2 cm longer than that of Florida80, and it showed lodging resistance. The dry matter yield of Oasis (8,805 kg/ha) was higher than that of Florida80. The total digestible nutrient and crude protein contents of Oasis were 64.5%, and 9.3%, respectively, which were 1.1% and 0.6% higher than those of Florida80, respectively. The neutral and acid detergent fiber contents in Oasis were 54.2% and 30.8%, respectively, which was 1.9% and 1.4% lower than those of Florida80, respectively. These results indicate that Oasis has good dry matter yield in the most of region and especially, middle and northern region of South Korea.

최근 AI 기술은 하루가 다르게 빠르게 발전하고 있고, AI기술은 각 분야에서 다양하게 사용되어지고 있다. 본 논문은 예술분야에서 AI기술의 활용으로 COVID-19 상황에서 인간관계, 개인적인 이유로 지친 마음을 위 로해주는 힐링 게임을 제작하였다. 제작한 힐링게임에서는 주로 Self-help-therapy의 효과를 얻을 수 있어, 치 료자의 도움없이 이용자가 힐링게임을 통하여 일상적 이용과정에서 치유적 효과를 얻을 수 있는 것을 기대 하고 있다. 게임 리뷰 데이터를 통계 분석하여 힐링게임으로 대중들이 요구하는 부분을 수용하여 힐링게임 이 제작되었으며, 사용자는 게임 시작 전 간단한 스토리라인과 AI와 상호작용할 수 있는 간단한 대화를 통 화여 Self-help-therapy 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

One-dimensional (1D) piezoelectric nanostructures are attractive candidates for energy generation because of their excellent piezoelectric properties attributed to their high aspect ratios and large surface areas. Vertically grown BaTiO3 nanotube (NT) arrays on conducting substrates are intensively studied because they can be easily synthesized with excellent uniformity and anisotropic orientation. In this study, we demonstrate the synthesis of 1D BaTiO3 NT arrays on a conductive Ti substrate by electrochemical anodization and sequential hydrothermal reactions. Subsequently, we explore the effect of hydrothermal reaction conditions on the piezoelectric energy conversion efficiency of the BaTiO3 NT arrays. Vertically aligned TiO2 NT arrays, which act as the initial template, are converted into BaTiO3 NT arrays using hydrothermal reaction with various concentrations of the Ba source and reaction times. To validate the electrical output performance of the BaTiO3 NT arrays, we measure the electricity generated from each NT array packaged with a conductive metal foil and epoxy under mechanical pushings. The generated output voltage signals from the BaTiO3 NT arrays increase with increasing concentration of the Ba source and reaction time. These results provide a new strategy for fabricating advanced 1D piezoelectric nanostructures by demonstrating the correlation between hydrothermal reaction conditions and piezoelectric output performance.

Persistent left cranial vena cava (PLCVC) is a remnant vessel connected with the coronary sinus and draining into the right atrium. A 3-month-old intact male Bichon Frise was evaluated for the presence of a mechanical murmur auscultation in the local animal hospital. No significant clinical signs were present on physical examination except mechanical murmur. Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) was diagnosed in the imaging procedure. During the left thoracotomy, PLCVC was found. The vascular malformation made the surgical process difficult by hiding PDA from the left thoracotomy surgical view. PLCVC and the vagus nerve was carefully dissected and lifted to secure a clear surgical view of PDA. The ductus arteriosus was ligated. Computed tomography angiography (CTA) was performed postoperatively. On CTA, left brachiocephalic vein retaining connection with the coronary sinus draining into the right atrium was observed. CTA is highly recommended for dogs with PDA to provide better postoperative results.

췌장의 낭성종양은 영상 검사의 보급과 발달에 따라 그 빈도가 늘어나고 있다. 이 낭성종양의 특징을 잘 이해하고 악성으로 진행할 여지가 있는지에 대한 판별은 중요하다. 내과, 영상의학과 그리고 췌장외과 간의 협력 및 논의를 통하여 종양에 대한 평가와 치료 결정이 적절하다. 특히 종양에 대한 검사 해석이 부적절 시 불필요한 수술까지 초래하기 때문에 세심한 검사와 정확한 해석이 중요하다. 췌장낭성종양의 특징과 경과에 대한 고려를 통하여 개별 환자에게 알맞은 적절한 검사 및 수술 여부 결정을 하도록 해야겠다.

Inflammation functions as a double-edged sword against external stimulus. For instance, inflammation can have anti-cancer effect and simultaneously can play cancer-promoting factors. Recent studies have shown that cytokine plays an important role in tumor biology by influencing tumor growth, invasion and metastasis. We classify these cytokines by cancer type and review current knowledge of cytokines in terms of carcinogenesis. Here, we also focus on whether cytokines can act as biomarkers for early detection of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). This review will provide basis for further approach to study the role of cytokines in carcinogenesis and evaluating the possibilities of cytokines as biomarkers for cancer detection

본 연구는 대청호 본류유역 7개 지점과 대청호 유입 지류 8개 지점을 선정하여 2001년부터 2010년까지 측정 된 환경부 수질자료를 분석해 시∙공간적 변이를 파악하 고, 더불어 대청호 유입 지류에 의한 대청호 수질의 영향 을 분석하였다. 본류 수역의 연평균 수질 자료 분석결과 에 따르면, 질소(N) 및 인(P)의 농도는 호수대 내에서 상 류역에서 댐(M7)으로 갈수록 거리에 따라 1차 함수적으 로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 호수내 유수대(M1~M3), 전 이대(M4~M6) 및 정수대(M7)의 TN과 TP는 외국 인공 호들과 마찬가지로 뚜렷한 Zonation 패턴을 보였다. 반 면, 호수내 유기물 지표로서 엽록소(CHL)와 BOD는 TN 과 TP의 구간별 연속적 감소 패턴과는 달리 전이대에서 최고치를 보였다. 유수대에서는 몬순 집중강우기인 8월 에 TP가 377 μgL-1로서 최대치를 보였으나, 정수대에서 는 7월에 165 μgL-1로서 최대치를 보였다. 한편, 유수대의 TN은 3월 최대치(8.52 mg L-1)를 보였으며, 정수대의 TN 은 본류에 비해 상대적으로 낮은 수치를 보였고, 최대치 는 8월 (3.76 mg L-1)에 관측되었다. 집중강우에 의한 이 온희석현상은 9~10월에 극명하게 나타났다. 호수내 제 한요인의 평가지표로서 이용되는 TN : TP 비는 88 이상 으로서 이미 대청호는 질소가 과잉공급 상태인 것으로 사료되었다. 몬순강우에 따라 호수의 수질은 악화되는 경 향을 보였으며, TP와 SS가 강우에 가장 민감하게 반응하 였고, CHL은 정수대의 변이 폭이 높게 나타났다. 호수내 로 유입되는 지천의 영향평가에 따르면, 도심형 하천이자 농공단지와 하수처리장의 영향을 받고 있는 T1, T2 및 호수내에 가장 큰 영향을 줄 것으로 사료되는 옥천천 (T5)의 오염도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 호수의 경험적 모 델 분석에 다르면, 호수내에서 CHL의 변이는 유수대 (Rz: R2=0.044, p=0.264)와 전이대 (Tz: R2=0.126, p= 0.054)에서 TN에 의해 통계학적 유의성을 보이지 않았 으나, 정수대(Lz)에서 질소는 조류 생장에 억제효과(R2= 0.458, p=0.032)를 가질 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 유입 지천(Iw)의 TN은 호수내(Ir)의 CHL의 변이에 통계 학적으로 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났고(R2=0.258, p= 0.110), 유입 지천(Iw)의 TP는 호수내(Ir)의 CHL의 변이 에 통계학적으로 유의성이 있는 것으로 나타났다 (R2= 0.567, p=0.005). 즉, 지천의 TP 유입은 대청호의 조류 생 장에 직접적으로 영향을 주는 것을 의미하였다. 한편, 대 청호의 TN : TP 비는 지천의 TN보다는 TP에 의한 영향 을 받는 것으로 나타나 결국 TN : TP 비는 직접적으로 인(P)의 농도에 의해 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 호수내의 여름철 TP와 SS 유입을 최소화 시키고, 높은 인이 유입되는 도심형 하천(옥천천)의 수질 개선이 대청 호의 수질 개선에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 사료되었다.

Myoepithelioma is a rare tumor that seldom occur in the parapharyngeal space region. And an accurate diagnosis of myoepithelioma is very difficult due to its unusual location and cellular variation. Therefore, misdiagnosis of this neoplasm as more aggressive tumor can lead to unnecessary treatment. We experienced extremely rare case of myoepithelioma arising in the deep lobe of parotid gland that is extended in the parapharyngeal space and reported it to a literature review.
