In contrast to conventional belief that extended inflation ends when the Universe percolates, we find inflation may continue at least many Hubble times even after the Universe percolates. What is observed is that inflation will not stop unless the global equation of state changes from inflationary one into radiation one. Thus the energy density of shorter wavelength gravitational waves induced by bubble collision at near the end of inflation should be at least Order (102)~O(103) times greater than previous estimation of Turner and Wilcek(TW).
We discuss a model4-dimensional Friedmann cosmology which may have evolved from a model of 4+D dimensions which admits spontaneous compactification of D dimensions (or N-dimensional variants of the Brans-Dicke (BD) theory). The BD parameter appearing in dimensional reduction is negative -1< ω < 0 (for the N-dimensional variants of the BD theory, -1.5≤ω). We find that if there had been inflationary transtion to the standard big-bang model, the Universe can undergoe a polar-type expansion during when the gravitational coupling becomes negative. The unique feature is that for the negative w, the density parameter of the post-inflationary Universe falls in a range 0<0<1 even if the Universe is geometrically flat (k = 0).
Events of eclipses as well as other major astronomical events observable in the eastern sector of Asian continent are computed and checked with astronomical records of antiquity. Particular attention was given to two types of the events recorded in remaining records of Dangun Chosun Period (DCP): (1) concentration of major planets near the constellation of Nu-Sung ( β A r i e s ) and (2) a large ebb-tide. We find them most likely to have occurred in real time. i.e., when the positions of the sun, moon, and planets happen to be aligned in the most appropriate position. For solar eclipses data, however, we find among 10 solar eclipse events recorded, only 6 of them are correct up to months, implying its statistical significance is no less insignificant. We therefore conclude that the remaining history books of DCP indeed contains important astronomical records, thereby the real antiquity of the records of DCP cannot be disproved.
We show that spacing patterns of planets and satellites in the solar system are formulatable in a single form. It is suggested that a possible explanation for the rule might be the orbital resonance effect, which has existed at an earlier epoch of the solar (planet) system. By extrapolating the formulated spacing patterns beyond the sun-Pluto distance, we find the sun-Planet X distance falls in a range ( 46 ∼ 79 ) A. U..
We investigated the "tilting" of the Universe, i.e., a non-Doppler origin of the dipole moment of the cosmic background radiation (CBR). Superhorizon-sized isocurvature, rotational and true vacuum bubble perturbations are considered. We show that the more natural way of the "tilting" the Universe is via the true vacuum bubble perturbation. Nevertheless, due to the small filling fraction of the bubbles of viable extended inflationary models, we find that the probability of the real occurrence in the Universe is quite insignificant.
