We present JHK-band near-infrared photometry of the star clusters in the dwarf irregular galaxy IC 5152. After excluding possible foreground stars, a number of candidate star clusters are identified in the near-infrared images of IC 5152, which include young populations. Especially, five young star clusters are identified in the(J-H, H-K) two color diagram and the total extinction values toward these clusters are estimated to be Av=2-6 from the comparison with the theoretical values given by the Leitherer et al.(1999)'s theoretical star cluster model.

A new method has been developed to solve the star cluster membership problem. It is based on synthetic photometry employing the Black Body concept as stellar radiation simulator. Synthetic color-magnitude diagram is constructed showing the main sequence band and the positions of binary star systems of combinations of various components through different photometric tracks. The method has been applied to the Hyades. The cluster membership problem has been re-appraised for the cluster (both single and binary) stars. For the binary members, the components' spectral types have been derived by the method. The results obtained agree very well with those found in literature, The method is simpler than the others and can be developed to undertake other cases as multiple star systems.

We examine the corecollapse times of isolated, two-mass-component star clusters using Fokker-Planck models. With initial condition of Plummer models, we find that the corecollapse times of clusters with M1/M2 >> 1 are well correlated with (N1/N2)^0.5 (m1/m2)^2 Trh, where (M1/M2) and (m1/m2) are the light to heavy component total and individual mass ratios, respectively, N1/N2 is the number ratio, and Trh is the initial half-mass relaxation time scale. We also find two-component cluster parameters that best match multi-component (thus more realistic) clusters with power-law mass functions.

By comparison and analysis of the optical data of the two galactic clusters of Pleiades and h and x Persei and the radio data of the HI gas clouds which are related with those two clusters, the relative motions of those gas clouds with retpect to the two clusters were obtained. The three theories on the acceleration of HI gas cloud surrounding a star cluster by Blaauw. Oort and Spitzer, and Kahn were examined with the above obtained kinetic data of the Pleiades and the h and x Penei clouds. And it was shown that Blaauw's theory is applicable to the h and x Persoi clouds but not to the Pleiades, that Dart and Spitzer's theory can explain the motions of both clouds, and that Kahn's theory needs more improvement to be a complete one.
