The Genus Greenidea includes 66 species worldwide. Only two species have been recorded in Korea: G.kuwanai and G.nipponica. We collected Greenidea nigra Maki, 1917 on Quercus glauca in Jeju. This species has been recorded in Japan and Taiwan. In this study, we report this species for the first time in South Korea, and describe morphological features of apterous viviparous females.
Two new species of the subfamily Greenideinae, Greenidea sp. nov. and Eutricosiphum sp. nov., are newly recognized from Laos on Glochidion fagifolium Bedd. (Malpighiales: Phyllanthaceae) and Quercus sp. (Fagales: Fagaceae), respectively. They are described and illustrated in comparison with congeneric species for apterous viviparous females. Greenidea sp. nov.is mainly characterized by relative length of siphunculus and width of same segment, and Eutricosiphum sp. nov. is distinguished by the relative length of ultimate rostral segment and 2nd hind tarsal segment.
A genus Schoutedenia (Hemiptera: Greenideinae) is an ancient group of Gondwanaian distribution occurring on the plant family Euphorbiaceae. In this study, we newly report Schoutedenia sp. nov., collected from Phyllanthus sp. (Euphorbiaceae) from Cambodia. Review for three species including Schoutedenia sp. nov., with identification key are presented.
