The purpose of this research is first, to define what measurement items in terms of subjective consideration and preference can be used to assess the landscape values of agriculture and fisheries heritage, and second, to understand the perceptive patterns particularly how landscape experts weigh up the importance of the each measurement item. In order to extract the measurement items, extensive literature review was performed including research documents as well as domestic and international policy reports. A survey targeting the experts was conducted to ask their opinions on the importance of the selected items. For the analysis, SPSS 20.0 for Windows was used to carry out reliability analysis, descriptive statistics such as arithmetic mean and frequency distribution, factor analysis, and multiple linear regression modeling. The results are: the importance value of the landscape values in agriculture and fisheries heritage was 4.1494; the ratio value that the experts perceived the importance was 87.2%; and the average of the importance value of the analyzed items was 3.71. All the items have more than 3.00. Ten factor groups were summarized and defined whose total explanation power was 67.86%. The factor groups were named as lyricism, authenticity, environmentally-friendliness, durability, recognizability, regionality, visibility, value of sightseeing, social image, and universality. The factors influencing the landscape values are, in order of importance, recognizability, authenticity, visibility, universality, durability, and nativeness. According to the analysis, however, environmentally-friendliness, regionality, value of sightseeing, and social image were not as important.
This study aims to compare the revealed activities of visitors to rural tourism villages through photographic album in the internet homepage, and to give a suggestion for building new homepage showing the differences in mountain eco-tourism village. According to the different types of village development projects, photographs in internet homepage were analysed in order to compare the centered activities of visitors to agriculture and mountain tourism villages. Landscape types such as natural landscape, agricultural landscape, and village living landscape were classified to execute a content analysis on photographic album in the homepage. Reliability of the analysis between coder was achieved as 0.81. Results were summarized as follows. Firstly, village identity of homepage was mostly determined by the characteristics of internet portal involved. Secondly, adults were revealed as main subjects of tourism activities in mountain village, whereas lots of children were involved in agricultural village. Thirdly, natural landscape was used as a place of activities in mountain village, while village living landscape was photographed as a main background. It was suggested that the photographs revealing activities with children in the background of natural landscape should be uploaded to show the identity of mountain village regardless of the characteristics of internet portal.
This study focus on the pilot case of a scenic landscape agriculture in Go-Chang county for the innovative rural development strategy related the green tourism in Korea. The Go-Chang county in Jeon-Buk province has been progressed the diversified agricultural crops production region. The Go-Chang county is known as the famous cultural tour place that has the many historical and cultural resources (provincial natural park, traditional music, great stone cluster area, military castle walls, good tasted eel food and wine). But, today, the circumstances of global agricultural free trading situations is rapidly proliferated, it invited the depression of the agricultural incomes in rural regions in Korea. So, the Go-Chang county seeks trying to alternative development methods. The new frontier like scenic landscape agriculture is the one of the innovative strategies in this processes. The Go-Chang county selects and supports the scenic landscape agriculture for the new income production policy in connection with the green tourism. This study finds out the important components of the success of a scenic landscape agriculture for the introduction to the new frontier of peen tourism in Go-Chang county. First the scenic landscape agriculture development must be related the 4 season-ecological cultivation methods connected well-being trends. Second, it will be increased the income level of rural people by the competitive the rural green products and diversified green tourism programs which produced by the efforts of the rural people. Third, the success of scenic landscape agriculture and place marketing of rural green tourism depend on the creative community leaders.
