This paper examined the flexural behavior of section enlargement strengthening columns with prefabricated reinforcement units in the jacket section. The developed strengthening column was particularly effective in enhancing the ductility of the columns.
This paper examined the axial behavior of full-scale section enlargement strengthening columns with different supplementary ties in the jacket section. The supplementary V-ties were effective in enhancing the confinement of core concrete and preventing the premature buckling of longitudinal reinforcement.
This study evaluated the P-M interaction behavior of RC columns strengthened with section enlargement method with the supplementary V-ties. The estimated P-M interaction is well corresponded with test results.
