This study is significant in increasing interest in living a successful life among the older population. Implications are directed to social work researchers and practitioners to help educate older adults in the community on the social and behavioral importance of the positive aspects of aging such as successful aging and healthy aging to increase a chance of longevity. The major contribution of the study will be constructing and providing specific types of strategies to older adults and practitioners in the gerontological social work field who assist to improve the population's quality of later life. Rowe and Kahn's longitudinal study of successful aging contributed to the development of the theory of successful aging, which has been considered one of the most salient theories among the studies on aging. However, there have been controversies on the theory for a few reasons including the restricted subjectivity on the perceptions toward successful aging and the limited sample population for the study participants has been a critical issue. A systematic literature review was conducted to explain how Rowe and Kahn's successful aging theory was generated and to discuss about the theory in multidimensional way. In-depth discussions of Rowe and Kahn's successful aging theory has been provided, and it has been compared with other successful aging theories. In addition, detailed descriptions of other relevant theories of aging has been presented and other relevant studies using the successful aging theory among older populations have been provided in order to study about the applicability of the theory.

Students with disabilities are more likely to be the targets of victimization than their general education peers. Intensive management of violence against students with disabilities in school is necessary. The purpose of this paper is to identify the risk and protective factors of peer victimization and try to find out effective strategies to reduce the violence in school. In order to reduce the incidence of bullying and peer victimization, additional focus is needed on the identification of factors associated with bullying, such as differences between disabled and non-disabled students, social networks, imbalance of power and social fluency, with the intensive supervision on the time and place of high incidence of school violence. In addition, the environmental barriers confronted with students with disabilities are to be recognized in dealing with the cases of school violence. Only by removing these barriers, the harmful consequences of school violence will be minimized.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference of basic learning ability according to departments of college students. For this, MANOVA was performed. In order to reflect the difference between major fields, the norm was calculated considering the mean and standard deviation of the whole sample. The raw score was converted into the standard score T and used for the analysis. First, to understand the basic learning ability of college students, participants were classified according to major fields, and the average scores of major courses were checked for sub-areas of basic learning ability. As a result, the average scores varied depending on their major fields. The aeronautics, natural sciences, and health sciences majors, which have overlapping academic fields that emphasize a scientific approach, are ranked higher in the math ability as well as in overall scores. The Arts and Physics departments showed high scores in areas requiring humanistic literacy such as Literacy and Common Sense. Second, the differences in the division of college majors are analyzed by dependent variables. Literacy, Math, Common Sense, and IT were statistically significant (P = .000). Math was estimated at 65%, Literacy at 54%, Common Sense at 46%, and IT at 38%. In other words, students' majors affect the level of basic learning ability, and Math has the greatest influence among basic learning abilities. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information as theoretical and empirical data, to help us understand why the basic learning ability of college students is deteriorating, and set up appropriate educational treatment plan.

This study is a follow-up study to the preceding studies that argue religions work as a moderator regarding the stress and the suicidal thoughts of celebrities. The preceding studies showed that whether celebrities have religions or not had some significance in that religions worked as a protective and moderating factor. Nevertheless, the Korean society has seen that a large number of celebrities who took their own lives were actually Christian. This means more profound exploration into the question why some religiously devoted celebrities chose to take their own live, from the perspective of pastoral counseling. Thus, this study looks at some negative emotions experienced by Christian celebrities and at how these emotions do not get enough protection from the Christian religion, and in turn, develop into psychological maladjustment and later suicidal acts by studying literature and analyzing cases. Through this, this study makes some suggestions as to how Christianity today and the pastoral ministry of church can provide celebrities with some practical help in terms of counseling, while admitting that religions play an important role in understanding the psychology of celebrities and in providing a preventive factor to their suicidal acts.
