        Purpose: The aim of this study investigated the transition experience of novice nurses working in a tertiary hospital, focusing on the difference between nursing school education and clinical nursing practice. Methods: The data were collected through an unstructured, in-depth interview with 14 recently employed nurses from October 2020 to January 2021. The data were analyzed by qualitative content analysis. Results: The main theme of the transition experience perceived by new graduate nurses was confirmed as ‘reality shock’. In the process of identifying the main themes, five categories, sixteen sub- categories, and sixty-two concepts were derived. The five categories were, ‘Clinical field different from school education setting’, ‘Nursing school education in need of change’, ‘Strengths and limitations of clinical training in schools and hospitals’, ‘Difficulty in establishing relationships and communicating’, and ‘struggling to stand alone’. Conclusion: To minimize the reality shock experienced by novice nurses, nursing schools should innovate their traditional teaching methods based on the changing characteristics of the novice nurses and the clinical environment. In nursing practice, hospitals should grant more time to the nurses for adaptation and diversify mentoring programs comparable to internships for novice nurses.

        목적 : 본 연구는 국내 연구를 중심으로 치매 환자 가족부양자를 위한 중재프로그램과 제공된 프로그램의 효과에 관한 체계적 고찰을 시행하여, 국내 연구의 진행 방향을 시사하고 앞으로의 연구 및 중재 적용 시 뒷받침할 근거를 제시하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 자료 검색을 위해 Riss, Kiss, 국회도서관의 데이터베이스를 사용하여 ‘치매’, ‘가족’, ‘부양자’, ‘프로그램’을 검색하였다. 자료 수집은 PRISMA(Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses)를 이용하여 최종 15편의 연구를 선별하였다. 자료의 질적 수준 평가는 연구의 질적 수준(hierarchy of levels of evidence for evidence based practice) 분석 모델을 사용하여 평가하였다. 최종 15편의 연구를 기반으로 PICO 방법을 적용하여 자료를 추출하고 분석하여 체계적으로 정리하였다. 결과 : 총 15편의 문헌에서 적용된 중재프로그램 16개의 질적 수준, 중재 기간, 종속 변인과 중재 유형에 따른 효과를 분 석하였다. 16개 프로그램의 유형과 효과를 분석한 결과, 복합적 프로그램은 8편으로 가장 많이 사용되었고, 우울, 부양부담 외의 다양한 영역에서 효과를 나타냈다. 심리 ․ 정서적 지지프로그램은 주로 우울에, 가족지지프로그램은 가족탄력성에, 교육 프로그램은 부양부담에 효과를 보였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 국내 치매 환자 가족부양자 중재프로그램의 현 위치를 파악하였고, 가족부양자에게 필요한 맞춤형 중재 프로그램을 적용할 수 있는 근거를 제시하였다.

        본 연구의 목적은 식품 중 안나토색소를 검출하기 위하여 주성분인 cis-bixin과 cis-norbixin의 동시분석법을 개발 하는 것이다. 최적 시험법 확립을 위해 국내외 기관 중 유럽식품안전청, 일본 후생노동성, 우리나라 식품의약품안전 평가원의 HPLC분석법들을 비교 및 검토하였다. 그리고 직선성, 검출한계, 정량한계 및 분석시간을 고려하여 최적 HPLC 동시분석조건을 선택 후 여러 식품에 적용가능한 최적 전처리법을 개발하였다. 식품의약품안전평가원 HPLC 분석법이 가장 우수한 직선성(R2≥0.999)을 보였으며, cisnorbixin 및 cis-bixin에 대한 검출한계와 정령한계가 각각 0.03과 0.05 μg/mL 그리고 0.097과 0.16 μg/mL로 낮게 나타났다. 모든 보고된 전처리방법은 여러 식품적용에 한계가 있었으며, 어육 및 육가공품, 가공치즈, 음료의 주요 세 식품군 모두에 대해서 높은 회수율을 보이는 최적 전처리법이 새롭게 확립되었다. 이 전처리 방법은 cis-norbixin과 cis-bixin에 대해서 98% 이상의 우수한 동시 회수율을 나 타냈었다. 새로운 전처리방법이 적용된 분석법은 두 성분에 대해 모두 결정계수(R2) 1로서 높은 직선성을 나타냈으며, 정확도(회수율)와 정밀도(%RSD)가 각각 평균 98% 및 0.4-7.9 이었다. 이러한 결과로부터 최적화된 분석시험법은 식품 중 안나토색소의 cis-norbixin과 cis-bixin 두 성분 동시분석에 매우 적합한 것으로 판단되었다.

        Previous studies have reported that deep neck flexor (DNF) exercise can improve neck problems, including neck pain, forward head posture, and headache, by targeting the deep and superficial muscles of the neck. Despite the prevailing opinion across studies, the benefits of DNF can vary according to the type of neck problems and the outcome measures adopted, ranging from positive outcomes to non-significant benefits. A meta-analysis was conducted in this study to assess conclusive evidence of the impact of DNF exercise on individuals with neck problems. We used PUBMED, MEDLINE, NDSL, EMBASE, and Web of Science to search for primary studies and the key terms used in these searches were “forward head posture (FHP),” “biofeedback,” “pressure biofeedback unit,” “stabilizer,” “headache,” and “neck pain.” Twenty- four eligible studies were included in this meta-analysis and were coded according to the type of neck problems and outcome measures described, such as pain, endurance, involvement of neck muscle, craniovertebral angle (CVA), neck disability index (NDI), cervical range of motion (CROM), radiographs of the neck, posture, strength, endurance, and headache disability index. The overall effect size of the DNF exercise was 0.489. The effect sizes of the neck problems were 0.556 (neck pain), –1.278 (FHP), 0.176 (headache), and 1.850 (mix). The effect sizes of outcome measures were 1.045 (pain), 0.966 (endurance), 0.894 (deep neck flexor), 0.608 (superficial neck flexor), 0.487 (CVA), 0.409 (NDI), and 0.252 (CROM). According to the results of this study, DNF exercise can effectively reduce neck pain. Thus, DNF exercise is highly recommend as an effective exercise method for individuals suffering from neck pain.

        Background: In previous studies, changes in postural alignment were found when the slope was changed during walking. Downhill walking straightens the trunk by shifting the line of gravity backward. Objects: This study investigated the effect of the downhill treadmill walking exercise (DTWE) on thoracic angle and thoracic erector spinae (TES) activation in subjects with thoracic kyphosis. Methods: A total of 20 subjects with thoracic kyphosis were recruited for this study. All the subjects performed the DTWE for 30 minutes. A surface EMG and 3D motion capture system were used to measure TES activation and thoracic angle before and after the DTWE. Paired t-tests were used to confirm the effect of the DTWE (p<.05). Results: Both the thoracic angle and TES activation had significantly increased after the DTWE compared to the baseline (p<.05). An increase in the thoracic angle indicates a decrease in kyphosis. Conclusion: The DTWE is effective for thoracic kyphosis patients as it decreases their kyphotic posture and increases the TES activation. Future longitudinal studies are required to investigate the long-term effects of the DTWE.

        본 논고에서 필자는 미래의 한국의 교육이 고민할 방향을 제시하고 있다고 판단되는 누스바움의 강연 및 저서를 토대로 미래사회에 어떠한 교육이 중요한지 제시하려고 한다. 첫째, 인문학과 예술교육이 필요한 이유를 제시하고, 둘째, 민주시민교육으로 나아가야 할 필요성을 제시할 것이다. 마지막으로 공감 또는 연민(컴패션, compassion)의 교육에 대한 주장을 살펴보려고 한다. 그리하여 최종적으로 공존(co-existence)을 교육의 목표로 제시하는 누스바움의 주장이 우리가 사는 시대에 교육철학이 지향할 바가 될 수 있음을 하나의 안으로 보여주고자 한다. 누스바움은 역사적으로 위대한 교육자와 나라를 세우는 데 앞장선 인물들이 모두 예술과 인문학이 어떤 식으로든 맹목적인 전통적 권위의 힘에 맞서는 지적인 저항과 독립적 행동에 필수적인 능력인 아이들의 비판적 사색 능력을 길러줄 수 있다는 것을 이해하고 있었음을 우리에게 상기시킨다. 예술과 문학을 배우는 학생들은 또한 타인의 상황을 상상하는 법을 배우며, 그 상상력은 민주주의의 성공에 근본적으로 필요한 능력이다. 나아가 세계시민교육의 바탕이 되고 인류가 함께 살아가는 데에 반드시 필요함을 역설한다.

        With the increased importance of design creativity in global fashion marketplaces, there have arisen numerous promotional strategies for new fashion designers in Korea, yet little research has been done on this subject. This study examines the new fashion design promotion policies in Korea and their effects from the designer's perspective. First, we analyzed the contents of twenty-one strategies from thirteen organizations regarding the types of support from the strategies. As a result, four distinct types are identified: new designer recognition; information and consulting support; brand incubating; and marketing support. Next, we performed in-depth one-on-one interviews with eleven designers who had been awarded from one or more of the fashion design incubation policies. The results reveal that the incubating policies' cash rewards and space support are found to be most effective. In terms of the revised fashion and brand consulting policy, “brand operation” had an influence. In addition, fashion the new brand advertisement and marketing policy had positively influenced the “brand development.” However, throughout the interview, designers note that the quality of education and information provisions need some improvement. Furthermore, the designers indicate the lack of supervision and professionalism from the marketing departments. Based on this content, this study emphasizes the necessity of an effective fashion design promotion policy, and strategic and consistent support for the whole fashion promotion team. At the minimum, an integrated and united supervision by the organization is necessary and should be taken into consideration.

        본 연구는 중국 소비자를 대상으로 명품 브랜드 확장 시 영향의 요인을 살펴보기 위해 모브랜드의 특성 및 확장제품 간의 관계를 통합적으로 고찰하였다. 첫째, 모브랜드의 특성으로는 브랜드의 명품성 정도에 따라 명품 브랜드와 비명품 브랜드를 선정하여 브랜드 명품성이 브랜드 확장에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 실증 연구 결과 소비자들은 명품 브랜드의 확장제품에 대해 비명품 브랜드의 확장제품보다 브랜드 확장에 대해 긍정적으로 평가하였다. 둘째, 확장제품의 일치성이 브랜드 확장에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 실증연구 결과 소비자들은 일치, 극도로 불일치한 확장제품보다 적당히 불일치한 확장제품을 더 긍정적으로 평가하였다. 또한 명품 브랜드, 비명품 브랜드에 적용하여 본 결과에서도 적당히 불일치한 브랜드 확장에 더 높은 호감도를 보였다. 마지막으로 브랜드의 명품성과 확장제품 일치성의 상호작용에 따른 브랜드 확장 평가에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았는데 중국소비자들을 대상으로 실증연구한 결과 브랜드의 명품성과 확장제품의 일치성 정도는 브랜드 확장 평가에 상호작용을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 중국 소비자들에게 어필하기 위해서는 ‘브랜드의 명품성’과 ‘확장제품의 일치성’이라는 변인을 접목시켜 브랜드 확장 전략을 사용해야 됨을 실증한 결과이다. 따라서 두 변인 간의 연결 고리를 확고히 하고, 브랜드 확장을 통해 중국 소비자들과의 긴밀한 관계를 형성하는 것이 효과적으로 자사의 브랜드 확장 제품을 인식시킬 수 있다는 시사점을 제공해 준다.

        The smart-phone has become a necessity for most people. In this study, we determined that using a smart-phone for 20 minutes can cause increased neck and shoulder muscle activities and fatigue. Seventeen healthy male smart-phone users who attended Yonsei University played a smart-phone game for 20 minutes and changes in their bilateral cervical erector spinae and upper trapezius muscle activities and fatigue were measured. To assess muscle activities and fatigue, we used the following variables: the median frequency, the 50th percentile Amplitude probability distribution function (APDF) value (median load), and the discrepancy in the 90th percentile APDF value and the 10th percentile APDF value (APDF range). A paired t-test was used to compare pre-smart-phone-use status with post-smart-phone-usestatus. The median frequency of the bilateral cervical erector spinae and the upper trapezius decreased significantly after 20 minutes of smart-phone use (p<.05). In addition, the 50th percentile APDF value of the bilateral cervical erector spinae and the right upper trapezius increased significantly (p<.05). The APDF range of the bilateral cervical erector spinae and the upper trapezius also increased significantly (p<.05). However, the 50th percentile APDF range of the left upper trapezius was not significantly different (p>.05). These findings suggest that using smart-phones for 20 minutes can induce muscle fatigue and increased neck and shoulder muscle activities.

        Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is a painful condition that arises from e+M8xercise-induced muscle damage after unaccustomed physical activities. Various therapeutic interventions have been applied to reduce the intensity and duration of DOMS-related symptoms. Recently, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) intervention has been introduced as an alternative noninvasive treatment for DOMS. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled experiment was conducted to examine the effects of PEMF therapy on DOMS in elbow flexors at 24, 48, and 72 hours after the experimental DOMS induction. Thirty healthy volunteers ( yrs, cm, and kg) participated in this study. Each was randomly assigned to a PEMF or placebo group. On the first day, DOMS was induced in the elbow flexors by repeated isokinetic motions at low () and fast () speeds in all subjects. Thereafter, the PEMF group received 15-min daily treatment with a PEMF device. The placebo group received sham treatment of the same duration. Overall, PEMF application was more effective than the sham treatment in reducing the physiological symptoms associated with the DOMS including perceived soreness, median frequency, and electromechanical delay of the surface electromyography. In addition, median frequency and isokinetic peak torque of the PEMF group recovered to the pre-DOMS induction level earlier than the placebo group. In conclusion, this study suggests that PEMF can be applied as a new recovery strategy in reducing DOMS symptoms. Further experiments are required to examine the effect of the PEMF treatment on different types of exercise conditions and to determine the optimal treatment dosage and duration in a real clinical setting.

        The objective of the present study was to estimate the health risk level for children exposed to phthalate and identify the pathways including indoor floor dust, surface wipe and hand wipe in elementary-schools and institutes. The samples of indoor place were collected at children's facilities (50 elementary-schools and 46 academies) in summer (Aug ~ Sept, 2008), winter (Dec 2008 ~ Feb, 2009) and Spring (Mar ~ Apr, 2009) periods. Hazard Index (HI) were estimated for the non-carcinogens and the examined phthalate were diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl-n-butyl phthalate (DnBP), butylbenzyl phthalate (BBzP). Risk analysis indicates that did not exceed 0.01 (HI) for all subjects in all facilities it's 50th % and 95th % value. For DEHP, DnBP and BBzP their detection rates through multi-pathways were high and their risk based on health risk assessment was also observed to be acceptable.

The samples were collected at children's facilities (50 elementary-schools and 46 academies) in summer (Aug ~ Sept, 2008), winter (Dec 2008 ~ Feb, 2009) and Spring (Mar ~ Apr, 2009) periods. The lifetime Excess Cancer Risks (ECRs) were estimated for carcinogen trace elements such as As, Cd, and Cr. For carcinogens, the Excess Cancer Risk (ECR) was calculated by considering the process of deciding Cancer Potency Factor (CPF) and Age Dependent Adjust Factor (ADAF) of the data of adults. Hazard Quotients (HQs) were estimated for the non-carcinogens trace metals like Cd, Cr, Hg and Pb. The average ECRs for young children were 1×10-9~1×10-8 (50%th percentile) level in all facilities. Non-carcinogens did not exceed 0.1 for all subjects in all facilities. For trace metals their risk based on health risk assessment was also observed to be acceptable.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the health risk and management of childhood exposure to indoor aldehydes in elementary-schools and academies. The samples were collected at children's facilities (50 elementary-schools and 46 academies) in summer (Aug ~ Sept, 2008), winter (Dec 2008 ~ Feb, 2009) and Spring (Mar ~ Apr, 2009) periods. The overall mean concentration of formaldehyde was 68.3 ㎍ /m3 and 27.2% of exceeded the 100 ㎍/m3 by the school health guideline. The concentration ratio of Indoor air and outdoor air (I/O) of aldehydes exceeds 1.0. The level of indoor air contamination did appear to be high, and 24.6% of the academies evaluated had exceeded the formaldehyde level specified by the public health act (120㎍ /m3). We estimated the lifetime excess cancer risks (ECRs) of formaldehyde, and the hazard quotients (HQs) of non-carcinogens (acetaldehyde and benzaldehyde). In addition, for carcinogens, the excess cancer risk (ECR) was calculated by considering the process of deciding cancer potency factor (CPF) and age dependent adjust Factor (ADAF) of the data of adults. The average ECRs of formaldehyde for young children were 1×10-6~1×10-5 level in all facilities. HQs of formaldehyde did exceed 0.1 for all subjects in elementary school.

In addition, for carcinogens, the excess cancer risk (ECR) was calculated by considering the process of deciding cancer potency factor (CPF) and age dependent adjust Factor (ADAF) from the data in adults. The average ECRs of benzene for young children were 1×10-7~1×10-9 level in all facilities. HQs of four non-carcinogens did not exceed 1.0 for all subjects in all facilities.

        This study was to assess the lifetime cancer and non-cancer risk on exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde of worker and user at public facilities in Korea. We measured the concentrations of formaldehyde and VOCs in indoor air at 160 public buildings that 5 kinds of public facilities (30 hotel, 30 fitness center, 25 gosiwon, 30 reading-room and 45 video-room) all over the country. There were estimated the human exposure dose and risks with averages of the using-time and frequency for facility users and office workers, respectively. Carcinogens (benzene and formaldehyde) were estimated the lifetime excess cancer risks (ECRs). Non-carcinogens (toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, and styrene) were estimated the hazard quotients (HQs). HQs of four non-carcinogens did not exceed 1.0 for all subjects in all facilities. Higher HQs of toluene were observed at the reading-room. The average ECRs of formaldehyde and benzene for facility worker and user were 1×10-4~1×10-6 level in all facilities. The estimated ECRs for reading-room were the highest and the fitness center and gosiwon were the next higher facilities. Because lifetime ECRs of carcinogens exceeded 1×10-4 for facility worker in the most facilities, risk management of formaldehyde and benzene in the facilities was necessary. IAQ guidelines should be determined strictly to prevent occurrence of disease caused by poor IAQ beforehand.

        자색고구마 추출물의 항산화 효과와 산화적 스트레스로 유도된 PC12 신경세포에 대한 보호효과에 대하여 연구하 였다. 자색고구마 추출물의 총 페놀함량은 44.25 mg/g, monomeric anthocyanin 함량은 2,394 mg/L로 나타났 다. 자색고구마 추출물의 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylben-zthiazoline- 6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical 소거활성, ferric reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) 및 환원력은 농도 의존 적으로 항산화 활성이 증가하였다. MTT {3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)- 2,5-diphenyl-tetrazoliumbromide} reduction assay를 이용하여 자색고구마 추출물의 신경세포 보호효과를 측정한 결과, 세포 생존율이 두드러지게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 산화적 스트레스는 신경세포막 손상 정도를 증가시키기 때문에 lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release assay와 neutral red uptake assay를 이용하여 세포막 손상 보호효과를 조사한 결과 자색고구마 추출물 처리구는 대조구에 비하여 산화적 스트레스로 유도된 세포막 손상 보호효과가 농도 의존적으로 나타났다. 따라서 자색고구마 추출물은 천연 항산화 소재 및 알츠하이머성 치매와 같은 신경퇴행성 질환의 예방 소재로서의 활용 가능성이 기대된다.

        This study was performed to confirm the microtubule assemblies and methylation patterns of porcine IVF and parthenogenetic embryos. Cumulus-oocyte complexes were collected and matured in vitro for 42 hr. Oocytes were fertilized by prepared fresh sperm or activated parthenogenetically by exposure to electric stimulation and 6-dimethylaminopurine. Porcine IVF and parthenogenetic embryos were cultured in vitro for 6 days. Embryos were stained by immunofluorescence staining method to observe the dynamic of nucleus and microtubules in the first mitotic phase and the methylation patterns in different developmental stages. After then, samples were confirmed and analyzed through a laser-scanning confocal microscope. IVF embryos had a centrosome originated from sperms, which was shown a ɤ-tubulin spot. However, ɤ-tubulin spot was not observed in parthenogenetic embryos. A lower methylation level was observed in IVF embryos compared to parthenogenetic ones at the morula and blastocyst stages. In conclusion, it is considered that microtubule assemblies and genetic regulation mechanism differ between parthenogenetic and IVF embryos.

        We attempted to control the maturation promoting factors (MPF) activity and nuclear remodeling of somatic cell nuclear transfer (NT) bovine embryos. Bovine ear skin fibroblasts were fused to enucleated oocytes treated with either 5 mM caffeine for 2.5 h or 0.5 mM vanadate for 0.5 h and activated. The nuclear remodeling type of the reconstituted embryos was evaluated 1.5 h after activation. MPF activity was assessed in enucleated and chemical treated oocytes before the injection of a donor cell. Effect of chemicals on the embryonic development was evaluated with parthenogenetic embryos. MPF activity increased significantly by caffeine treatment, but decreased by vanadate treatment (p<0.05). Caffeine or vanadate had no deleterious effect on the parthenogenetic embryo development. In caffeine treated group, premature chromosome condensation (PCC) was occurred in 72.2% of NT embryos (p<0.05). In contrast, vanadate induced the formation of a pronucleus-like structure (PN) in a high frequency (68.9%, p<0.05) without PCC (NPCC). Blastocyst development of NT embryos increased by treating with caffeine (30.3%), whereas decreased by treating with vanadate (11.4%) compared to control (22.1%, p<0.05). The results indicate that caffeine or vanadate can control of MPF activity and remodeling type of NT embryos, resulting in the increased or decreased in vitro development.
