        The “古今釋林” (Gugjin Seoknim) compiled by the Korean scholar Yi Yifeng (1732-1801) is a comprehensive and systematic compilation of various language dictionaries from the pre-19th century Joseon period that recorded Hanja (Chinese character) vocabulary. This analysis focuses on the entries found in “古今 釋林·東韓譯語·釋親”, which includes words related to Hanja characters. These entries consist of words that have the same literal meaning as their Hanja characters, such as “阿父, 别室”, words that borrow Hanja characters’ phonetics for annotation, like “阿兒, 南人”, and words that borrow Hanja characters’ forms and meanings to create vocabulary expressing native Korean culture, like “兩主, 冷背拜”. This paper investigates the phonetic Hanja character words borrowed for annotation in the Korean language and combines them with phonetic analysis, revealing the transitional phase of using Hanja for phonetic representation and the coexistence of Hanja and the Korean language during that time. The adaptation of Hanja characters’ forms and meanings to create Korean terms enriches our understanding of the Hanja vocabulary created during the Joseon period. By comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences in the meanings and definitions of Hanja characters in both Korean and Chinese, this study offers a deeper and more comprehensive analysis of the diversity of Hanja’s usage during the Joseon period and its impact on modern Chinese and modern Korean.

        Written during the reign of King Sukjong of the Joseon Dynasty, Yeyi Language Jiejie is the earliest existing book of Yeyi Language Jiejie, and it is also a modern Chinese textbook. It contains rich words in modern Chinese. The book classifies the words in categories such as astronomy, season and climate, and uses Korean translation and phonetic transcription to complement textbooks in various languages. The 17th and 18th centuries were the period with the highest frequency of epidemic diseases in China. There are 94 “diseases” words in the book. By analyzing the specific symptoms of “diseases” words, these words are reclassified into 10 categories. Such as “clinical symptoms” category, “infectious diseases” category, “neurological diseases” category, “metabolic diseases” category, “venereal diseases” category, “parasites” category, “acute” category, “surgical diseases” category and others. It is found that the changes of “disease” are relatively conservative, and most of the words are still in use in modern Chinese. In addition, there are 34 dissimilar words in the category of “disease”. According to the changes of the font components of the 34 dissimilar words, this paper divides them into 11 types, such as: brushsaving change, same deformation of strokes, same replacement of strokes, brushsaving replacement, additional replacement, additional stroke, saving stroke, reducing stroke, replacement and deformation.

        As a language writing symbol inherited by the Chinese nation for nearly a thousand years, Chinese characters have obvious ideographic characteristics, and the components of Chinese characters play an important role at the ideographic level. Different components are combined with each other to jointly participate in the overall formation meaning of Chinese characters. Therefore, the interpretation of the shape and meaning of Chinese characters is naturally inseparable from the study of components. After the development and evolution of Chinese characters in the past dynasties, both the overall shape and the partial components of the characters have changed over time. Modern Chinese characters use common regular script. If we trace and explore its specific components in combination with past dynasties, it is not difficult to find that the meaning and source of the component itself may be more than one. In modern Chinese characters, there are a large number of Chinese characters with component “口”. In most cases, the component “口” plays the formation meaning function of “mouth”. However, if we trace the origin of the Chinese characters containing the component “口” and start from the early forms of the relevant Chinese characters, we can discover a variety of formation meaning functions of the component “口” except "mouth". Through research, this paper finds that the modern Chinese character component “口” not only means “mouth”, but also has other formation meaning functions such as “ware”, “symbol” and “range”. For the research on the origin of the formation meaning of the Chinese character component “口”, the related academic achievements still need to be improved. This paper has the significance value of exploring and improving the multiple functions of the specific components.

        China was a slave society in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties. There are many words about slaves in the existing oracle bone inscriptions.By observing the form of these characters, we can understand their meanings and the cultural meanings contained in them. This paper selects five characters: wei, li, xi, pu and qiang,and analyzes the structure of its oracle bone inscriptions or bronze inscriptions.This paper analyzes the cultural implication of the slaves in the Shang and Zhou dynasties from the characteristics of the slaves' foreign clothing, the characteristics of the slaves' foreign nationality, the methods and ways of the slaves‘ capture, the punishment of the slaves and the unique human sacrifice of the slaves. In the analysis of this paper, “Wei” has evolved from the totem worship of primitive tribes to an important costume feature representing the identity of slaves. “Li” contains the history of the slave‘s resistance to escape under the pressure of slavery. “Xi” is related to the custom of braiding hair of slaves of different nationalities in Shang and Zhou dynasties. Through the structure of “Xi”, we can see the punishment of slaves in Shang and Zhou Dynasties. “Qiang” is the most obvious expression of the bloody slavery system and slaves can not have the essential characteristics of human rights.

        Punishment is an important method for the ruling class to discipline criminals and alert people. According to historical records, a systematic punishment system was already existent during the Xia Dynasty. The “Ancient Five Punishments” recorded in Book of Documents occupies an important position in ancient Chinese punishments. Because they were all corporal punishment and the execution methods were extremely cruel so they were abolished in the Han Dynasty. The execution process of corporal punishment depends on the use of various knives. Therefore, punishment in ancient China is closely related to the “knife”. Shuo Wen Jie Zi contains a large number of Chinese characters related to punishment, and they are closely related to the “Ancient Five Punishments”. “刵(Er)”, as an ear-cutting penalty, can be traced back to the Zhou Dynasty or even earlier, and has similar meaning with the words “聝(Guo)” and “取(Q u)”. “㓷(Yi)” and “劓(Yi)” are variants of each other, and they were widely used as a penalty for cutting the nose only before the Han Dynasty. “刖(Yue)” means the punishment of cutting the legs, which has same meaning with the words “剕(Fei)” and “跀(Yue)”, but it was different from the word of “膑(Bin)” though they have similar meaning. The three characters “ (Xing)”, “刭(Jing)” and “刎(Wen)” can be explained by each other, and they all refer to the punishment of beheading. “罚(Fa)” means punishment for minor crimes. This word and the word of “刑(Xing)” meaning the punishment for serious crimes constitute the phrase of “刑罚(Xingfa)” in Chinese.

        조선시대 중국어 학습서에는 당시 중국 어휘의 발음을 諺文으로 표기하고 있다. 그러나 한국어 어음체계에 익숙한 한국인은 중국어 발음을 한국어로 표기함에 모국어의 영향을 받아 일정한 인지한계와 표기제한이 발생하게 된다. 중국 漢語의 어음변천내용을 고찰함에 중요한 근거로 활용되는 한국의 對音자료는 표음체계에 대한 충분한 분석과 이해가 전제되어야 정확한 자료의 가치가 제고된다. 본 논문에서는 『譯語類解』右音에 나타나는 ‘ㅗ’의 표기대상을 漢語 어음변천 자료를 토대로 분석한다. 이를 통해 조선시대 중국어 학습서의 표기법에 대한 신중한 접근과 표기내용에 대한 再考의 필요성을 확인한다.

        Eight minerals (Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na and Zn) were determined in Schizandra chinensis fruits and their infusions in Seoul. The average mineral contents per Schizandra chinensis fruits (100 g) were K (966.08 mg), Mg (87.20 mg), Ca (15.19 mg), Mn (6.19 mg), Fe (3.99 mg), Zn (2.78 mg), Na (2.15 mg) and Cu (0.31 mg) respectively by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer. The quantity of K and Zn were found significantly higher in Korean fruits than the Chinese fruits (p < 0.05). The other 6 minerals did not reveal remarkable difference. In the case of processed Schizandra chinensis tea, it had K (217 mg), Mg (20.40 mg), Ca (7.16 mg), Na (2.95 mg), Mn (1.34 mg), Fe (0.95 mg), Zn (0.25 mg) and Cu (0.09 mg) per 100 g respectively. In extraction of Schizandra chinensis fruits, as it took a longer extraction time, and in a powder form rather than a raw form, it had a higher contents of minerals. When a powder type of Schizandra chinensis fruits was extracted for 24 hours at 25℃, the transfer rate appeared with Ca (36.27%), Mn (25.44%), K (22.43%), Zn (21.00%), Na (19.91%), Mg (19.55%) Cu (13.78%) and Fe (6.45%) respectively.

        본 연구는 식약공용 오미자를 메탄올 추출해 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N 함량을 확인한 후 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N 함량이 높게 나온 시료 중 하나를 선정해 오미자를 차로 음용 시 물 추출방법에 따른 생리활성 물질의 함량을 확인하였다. 추출방법은 열수 추출과 상온 침출로 추출상태, 추출온도, 추출시간을 달리하여 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N 함량을 비교하여 적절한 음용법을 제시하고자 하였다. 오미자를 원산지별 메탄올 추출물 시 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N 총 합 평균 함량은 10.57mg/g이었다. 국산 오미자 11.42 mg/g, 수입산 오미자 10.12mg/g으로 국산 오미자의 메탄올 추출물의 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N 총 합 함량이 더 높았다(p < 0.05). 메탄올 추출에서 높게 나온 오미자를 이용해 물 추출 방법에 따라 추출방법, 추출형태, 추출온도, 추출시간을 달리해 생리활성 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N의 함량을 확인한 결과 오미자 물 추출방법에서 생리활성 물질의 함량에 가장 큰 영향을 준 조건은 추출형태였다. 원형보다 분말형태로 오미자를 물 추출 시 생리활성 물질의 함량이 높게 나왔다(p < 0.05). schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N의 총 합 함량이 높게 나온 추출방법은 오미자를 분말형태로 26oC 에서 24시간 침출하거나 100oC 에서 5분 이상 열수 추출했을 때 유의적 차이가 없이 높게 나왔으나(p > 0.05) 오미자를 고온 열수 추출 시 떫은맛과 신맛이 강해지므로 따라서 오미자의 물 추출의 경우 분말상태로 24시간 이상 침출하는 것이 오미자의 생리활성 물질인 schizandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N을 좀 더 효율적으로 추출하고 기호적인 면도 고려할 수 있는 음용법 이었다. 차를 마시는 기능성을 고려하여 향후 오미자뿐 아니라 가정에서 차로 많이 사용하고 있는 다양한 약용식물의 생리활성 물질에 특성에 따른 물 추출물에 대한 효율적인 추출법등의 연구 가 이루어져 할 것이다.

        증량제의 특성 중 Sumithion 분제의 주성분 분해에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝힐 목적으로 시험하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 가. 증량제의 특성 중 수분함량, 흡습성, C.E.C. 활성천, 염기총량, 표면적 등이 Sumithion 분제의 주성분 분해에 영향을 미치는 요인이 됨을 알았고, 나. 증량제에 의한 Sumithion의 분해산물은 Dimethyl phosphorothionate와 3-methyl-4-nirophenol 및 이의 유연화함은, n-hexane, ethyl ether 불용, methyl alcohol, ethyl, alcohol가용의 화함물이 있음을 알았다. 다. 증량제의 종류별로는 벤토나이트, 규조로, 카올린, 활석의 순으로 분해율이 높았다. 라. 그리고 증랑제의 Sumithion 분제 주성분 변화에 영향을 미치는 특성 중 수분과 염기가 가장 대표적인 주성분 분해 요인으로 보인다.

        Background: Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) that is used as a food material has antioxidant, anticancer and anti-inflammatory properties. Recently the demand for functional foods and drugs has increased. The present study was carried out to determined of contents of residual sulfur dioxide, heavy metals, ash, acid insoluble ash and curcuminoids in turmeric from the Seoul Yak-ryeong market. Methods and Results: A total of 31 samples were obtained. Residual sulfur dioxide was not detected in any samples. Heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury) were analyzed by ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer) and a mercury analyzer and were detected in the ranges of 0.00 - 0.28, 0.00 - 0.07, 0.00 - 0.29 and 0.002 - 0.027㎎/g respectively. No significant difference were observed between the average heavy metal contents of domestic and imported tumeric. However, average content of ash in domestic samples (7.8%) were significantly higher than that in imported samples (6.1%), whereas that of curcuminoids was significantly higher in imported samples (47.6㎎/g) than in domestic samples (11.2㎎/g). The average content of acid insoluble ash was not significantly different between two sample types (0.9% in each). Conclusions: There are no specific standards for turmeric used as food materials. Therefore, this study can be provided as basic data for the establishment of quality standards for turmeric.

        쌀은 인체기능을 크게 향상시키는 수많은 생리활성 물질이 다량 함유되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 쌀의 기능성 물질을 탐색하고 그 상관관계를 알아보고자 특수미 품종 36종을 이용하여 4개 종류의 단백질 함량, 철분, 아연, 피틴산과 아밀로스 함량을 조사하였으며 이들 간의 상관관계를 규명하였다. 그 결과 대체로 맵쌀과 찹쌀의 경우, albumin (2.43 mg/g과 2.32 mg/g)과 globulin 함량 (4.68 mg/g과 4.94 mg/g)이 높게 나타났고 유색미의 경우 1.37 mg/g과 2.77 mg/g의 함량으로 낮게 나타났다. 하지만 유색미의 glutelin 함량이 현저하게 높게 나타났으며 맵쌀이 가장 낮게 함유하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 철분의 경우, 찹쌀에서 낮게 나타났고 맵쌀과 유색미에서는 품종에 따라 다르게 나타났으며 아연 함량은 유색미에서 현저하게 낮게 나타났다. 피틴산의 함량은 특수미의 특성에 따라 별다른 차이가 없었으며 9.88-13.54%의 분포를 나타내었다. 이들간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 단백질 성분 중 albumin과 prolamin의 경우 부의 상관관계 (p<0.05)를 나타내었으며 globulin 함량은 아밀로스 함량과 상관관계 (p<0.05)를 나타내었다. 또한 피틴산 함량 등 기능성 성분에 대한 8가지의 변수를 이용하여 군집분석한 결과4개의 품종군으로 구분되었다.
