        In order to estimate the influence of chloride de-icing materials which mainly cause the corrosion of steel structures, the salt spray test was conducted and the corrosion level of steel was investigated. The concentration of the chloride de-icing materials and the number of the spray were selected as variables, and the influence of chloride de-icing materials was estimated according to weight reduction of steel specimens.

        This study was conducted for the development of degradation model for the coated steel member in the atmospheric environment. Field inspection data was assessed against the existing evaluation factors which were proposed by the related research process. A correlation between evaluated degradation score and service life of coated steel member was plotted on the graph, and degradation of the coated steel member could be evaluated by quantitative analysis method.

        In this study, finite element analysis was performed to analyze the load carrying capacity of corroded plate girder. Consequently, web buckling load indicated drastic reduction in corrosion thickness less than 1 millimeters. Therefore, if the plate girder is seriously corroded to time of drastic reduction of web buckling load, it will need appropriate maintenance and reinforcement to guarantee of safety.

        In this study, applicability of the steel grid composite deck to temporary or building structure is reviewed. structural performance such as flexural strength, and serviceability is compared with those of the existing deck structures. the result shows that the steel grid composite deck is applicable to horizontal supporting member of temporary of building structure.

        In order to apply the mechanical deck joint to the prefabricated steel gird composite decks, shear resistance of the joint composed of concrete shear key and high-tension bolt was evaluated by the push-out test experimentally and analytically. In this study, shear resistance of the joint installed in the deck is evaluated by design equation. In comparison with resistances estimated by design equation and test results, the deck joint is structurally safe enough, and in the case of pointed loading efficient width of the prefabricated steel grid composite deck is about 1m long.

        The purpose of this paper is to find an limitation to detect the defect of damaged asphalt pavement structures for improved infrared thermography. We use heat source of a natural light to detect the defect efficiently. The heat source was applied to the asphalt specimens containing maximum depth of 3cm internal timber. It was found that the depth of 3cm internal timber could be detected by this method. In addition, we used the improved image processing to make the damage zone displayed clear in the image obtained from the thermographic operation.

        The current domestic SOC facilities focuses on checking stability by a physical evaluation. In this study, the concept for calculating SOC facilities’ Korean representative rating is set up by analyzing international SOC facilities' evaluation methods and objects and factors of evaluation for it. Also, facilities by suggesting design plan based on established concept for calculating each facilities’ rating.

In this study, SOC facilities' status of Korea was investigated and analyzed for calculating Korean representative rating. Also, after evaluation methods for rating of international facilities were researched, they were used as a base data for Korean representative rating.

        Bending test on the steel grid composite deck under different loading conditions are conducted for the evaluation of flexural behaviour. 1m wide two decks are connected by prefabricated joint. The Joint is composed of concrete shear key and high-tension bolts. Test results show that deck subject to concentrated centric loading has greater load bearing capacity than deck subject to eccentric loading because the deck subject to centric loading has larger effective width.

        In this study fatigue test on the steel grid composite deck is conducted for the evaluation of fatigue performance and serviceability. Deflection and crack width are measured at the end of each cyclic loading step. Test results show that maximum measured deflection and crack width are below the allowable values, and the tested steel grid composite deck exhibit acceptable fatigue performance and serviceability.

        Steel structure such as steel bridges are severely affected by the corrosion, and thus has to be maintained by periodic inspection and repetitive painting. In this study, existing empirical models for the degradation of coating are reviewed which is used for evaluation of corrosion, and in addition applied to definition of the state inspection criteria and condition rating by further research.

        Durability and structural safety of steel structure are severely affected by corrosion caused by deicer material as well as by airborne chlorides in the marine environment. In this study, based on analysis of current status it is suggested that deterioration and durability reduction by the environmental factor such as chlorides should be more reasonably taken into consideration for the accurate inspection and condition evaluation of steel structures.

        프리캐스트 방식에 의해 제작이 가능한 격자형 강합성 바닥판의 이음부는 콘크리트 전단키와 고장력볼트 체결로 구성될 수 있으며, 이와같은 이음부 자체에 대한 휨 및 전단성능은 부재요소에 대한 실험을 통해 분석된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 바닥판 구조시스템에서 이음부에 의한 횡방향 하중전달 거동을 분석하고자, 길이 2.5m 및 폭 1m의 단위 바닥판 모듈 한쌍에 이음부를 설치한 실험체를 제작하고 중심 및 편심가력 휨실험을 하였다. 이음부에 하중이 직접 가해지는 중심재하 조건에서 고장력볼트의 설치개수가 30cm 간격 9개에서 60cm 간격 4개로 줄어 들 경우, 재하단계에 따라 이음부의 회전이 비교적 더 크게 증가하고, 이에 따라 바닥판 횡방향으로의 하중전달 정도가 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나, 한쪽 바닥판의 중심에 집중하중이 가해지는 편심재하 조건의 경우에는 횡방향 하중전달 거동에 큰 차이가 없었다. 하중 재하방법별로 이음부의 거동을 비교한 결과, 집중하중에 대한 바닥판 횡방향으로의 하중분배 및 전달량은 이음부 자체의 성능뿐만 아니라 바닥판 슬래브의 펀칭전단에 의해서도 제한되는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 펀칭 전단파괴가 발생할 때까지 이음부의 고장력볼트가 항복하지 않은 점을 고려할 때, 이음부 고장력볼트의 설치개수를 4개에서 9개로 증가시키는 것은 실질적으로 강도 보다는 이음부 및 바닥판의 휨강성 성능 증가에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 사료된다.
