        In this paper, the slope adhesion force of the developed green slope soil was evaluated by simulating rainfall intensity. From the results, the slope failure didn't occur at all conditions. As the slope angle increases, however, the damage decreased. The developed green slope soil is considered to have sufficient adhesion capacity to the slope.

        It is necessary to investigate the possibility of high density material as an ingredient in the manufacturing of radiation shielding material. In this study, the suitability of heavy weight waste glass as a shielding material is considered. From the results, it was found that when the heavy weight waste glass substitution ratio increases, radiation shielding performance also increase.

        In this paper, the material characteristics of field applied green slope soil for development of vegetation shotcrete using mineral additive are evaluated. From the results, after a consolidation of certain level is proceeded, soil hardness and soil strength are not affected by ages. However, in order to ensure slope stability, the cohesion should be improved of green slope soil.

        In the current concrete structure of the highway is still the major problem most of concrete deterioration caused by the freeze-thaw and deicing salt, which is of issues that are not completely resolved. In particular, a single freezing event does not cause much harm, durability of concrete under multi-deterioration environment by repeated freeze-thaw and deicing salt is rapidly degraded and reduce its service life. In this study, the exposure environmental condition according the regional highway points were established. The damage condition and chloride content of the concrete at general and severe environmental exposure condition were also investigated. In addition, the experimental test of chloride ion permeability, scaling resistant and freeze-thaw resistance were carried out to improve the durability of the mechanical placing concrete of subsidiary structure. According to the results of this study, in observation of concrete surface condition, the concrete exposed by severe environmental condition showed broad ranges of damage with high chloride contents. Meanwhile, the water-binder(W/B) ratio and the less water content, and fly ash concrete than the specified existing mix proportion is significantly improved the durability. Also, the optimal mix proportion derived for test is satisfied the strength and air contents, water-binder ratio, and durability criteria of concrete specifications, as well as service life seems greatly improved.

        Concrete is a very useful construction material for the sealing disposal of hazardous substances. In general, mass concrete is applied to these structures. And, the mineral admixtures are recommended for the long term performance. Calcium leaching could be happened due to the contact with pure water in underground structures. Thus, it is needed to evaluate the resistance of calcium leaching for concrete mixed with mineral admixtures. From the test results, the mineral admixtures are effective to the improvement of long term compressive strength and chloride diffusion coefficient in concrete members. When calcium leaching is happened, however, the reduction of compressive strength and chloride penetration resistance is severe than OPC case, the micro pore distribution is adversely affected. Consequently, when the mineral admixtures are applied to underground structures which is exposed to calcium leaching environment, it is desirable to reduce water-to-binder ratio, to expose after the sufficient pozolanic reaction, and to use BFS than FA.

        The objective of this study is the development of an artificial soil composition for vegetation in rock slope condition. In this study, the suitability of artificial soils added the cement-based materials is considered. The results show that the pH value of artificial soil added the micro cement was kept in the range of 7.86 to 8.00.

        In this paper, the heavy metal leaching of mortar substituted the crushed waste glass as fine aggregate are evaluated. From the results, when the heavy weight waste glass substitution ratio increase, leching quantities of heavy metal is increased. Therefore, it is needed that the characteristics of heavy metal leching according to waste glass substitution ratio in mortar specimens.

        In this study, chloride penetration of calcium leached concrete according to mineral admixture ratio were compared with OPC. From the results, it showed that chloride diffusion coefficient in calcium leached concrete were increased as calcium leaching period increase. However, the chloride diffusion coefficient of BFS case showed the better resistance than Fly Ash case. And, the distribution of chloride diffusion coefficient was significantly changed by calcium leaching period.

        급격한 산업화와 삶의 질의 변화로 인해 생산된 고밀도 폐유리의 양은 꾸준히 증가하고 있으나 대부분 재활용되지 못하고 있다. 특히 고밀도 폐유리의 경우 불법적으로 처리되거나 매립되는 실정이다. 한편, 원전구조물의 안전성 확보를 위해 차폐 성능이 우수한 재료가 사회적으로 요구되고 있다. 콘크리트는 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 건설재료이며, 많은 양의 자원들이 콘크리트를 생산하기 위해 사용되고 있다. 따라서 고밀도 폐유리를 차폐 콘크리트 재료로 재활용할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구가 요구되어진다. 본 연구에서는 고밀도 폐유리를 차폐 콘크리트 잔골재로의 적용가능성을 평가하였다. 결과에 따르면, 폐유리를 혼입한 모르타르의 경우, 일반 모르타르에 비하여 단위용적질량이 증가하여 차폐 성능 개선이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 폐유리 혼입에 의해 강도는 감소하는 것으로 나타났으며, 세척의 경우보다 비세척의 경우에 강도 발현이 유리한 것으로 나타났다.

        The use of de-icing and anti-icing materials is widespread throughout countries enduring cold and snowy weather to ensure safe winter-driving conditions. In particular sodium and calcium chlorides, chlorides-based materials have been used for many years. However, as the negative effects of corrosion on motor vehicles, infrastructures, and the environment have been understood, which concerns have risen regarding the use of these salts for de-icing roads. For this reason, we investigated the advanced technology and research trend of eco-friendly de-icing materials.

        As environmental concerns become a critical issue in the sustainability of the steel industry, manufacturing of various kinds of glass-ceramics and related functional materials recycled from post-mortem slags has become an important topic of research. The slag composition, which was reduced and cooled using this secondary treatment is affected by the operating parameters and thermo-physical properties of the slag, and thus can provide the potential for utilization in highly value-added products such as Portland cement and high-alumina cement. To increase the applications of the reduced slag product, a new cement material as well as slag aggregates from the EAF slags were developed by controlling the composition and morphology through novel methods.

        Recently, the use of eco-friendly deicer is recommended for solving problem of chloride deicing salts. The laboratory tests are often used to evaluate deicer performance, but they have been shown to correlate poorly to actual field performance. Thus, we would like to introduce the field test method for improving the performance qualification of anti-icing materials.

        As the industrialization is rapidly growing and the quantities of heavy weight waste glass have been quickly increased but the most of them are not recycled. The heavy weight waste glass have been treated by illegal dumping or being buried in landfills. And, it is caused some problem such as the environmental pollution. So, it is needed to investigate the possibility of recycling of heavy weight waste glass as concrete material ingredient. In this paper, the mechanical properties of mortar substituted the crushed waste glass as fine aggregate are evaluated. From the results, when waste glass substitution ratio increase, fluidity and specific gravity increase. However, the compressive strength and flexural strength decrease. So, the mechanical properties of mortar are significantly affected by waste glass substitution ratio.

        Dry shrinkage of concrete is occurred due to the cement hydration and water evaporation from early ages, and it induces crack of concrete. In this study, shrinkage according to sand-aggregate and water-binder ratio were compared with the existing prediction models. From the results, when sand-aggregate ratio and unit water content increase, dry shrinkage of concrete increase. But, it showed that existing prediction models do not reflect shrinkage of concrete, well.
