관광산업은 개발도상국에게 중요한 수입원이자 빈곤을 극복할 수 있는 수단으로 인식된다. 하지만 최근 아프리카의 여러 국가들은 괄목할 만한 관광업의 성장을 달성하였음에도 지역의 빈곤 감소 효과로 이어지지 못하 고 있다. 본 연구는 관광산업의 행위자인 아프리카 정부에서 나타나는 정 치경제적 특성에 주목하였다. 아프리카 국가들은 독립 이후 현재까지 비공 식적 정치체제를 통한 위계적 지대추구가 만연해 왔다. 이러한 특수성은 관광산업에도 직접적인 영향력을 행사하고 있으며, 지역 주민에 대한 수혜 가 미미하여 빈곤 완화에 부정적인 영향을 끼친다. 본 연구는 이러한 특징 이 나타나는 지역으로 탄자니아의 잔지바르를 선정하였다. 잔지바르는 외 연적인 관광산업의 성장에도 불구하고 지역 사회에 대한 혜택은 매우 제 한적으로 이루어졌다. 현지인이 아닌 외국인에게 많은 일자리가 제공되었 으며, 지대추구와 연계된 사적 이익의 극대화와 부패는 수입을 감소시키고 지역 사회와의 갈등을 초래하였다. 본 연구는 탄자니아 및 잔지바르 정부 의 관광정책과 제도가 어떻게 빈곤 감소를 저해하였는지 살펴보고, 관광산 업에 상당 부분을 의존하고 있는 아프리카 국가들이 ‘빈곤 감소 관광’으로 이행하기 위한 교훈 및 시사점을 고찰하였다.

Because English grammar consists of a long list of features, it is impractical to include all of them in a single grammar test. It would be useful to identify among all those features the best indicators of students’ grammatical knowledge and ability so that we could focus on what were the most representative knowledge and skills and simplify grammar assessment. This study is a preliminary, small-scale attempt to do just that. It surveyed 72 high school teachers and 129 Grade 12 students on their opinions of which features of grammar best represented grammatical knowledge and ability. They were asked to choose five indicators, including the best one, and provide reasons for thinking so. The relative pronoun was selected most frequently as the best indicator of grammatical knowledge and ability, followed by subject-verb agreement, the subjunctive, to-infinitives, and participles. This paper does not claim these five features to definitively represent the best indicators; further research should be conducted.

We examine the corecollapse times of isolated, two-mass-component star clusters using Fokker-Planck models. With initial condition of Plummer models, we find that the corecollapse times of clusters with M1/M2 >> 1 are well correlated with (N1/N2)^0.5 (m1/m2)^2 Trh, where (M1/M2) and (m1/m2) are the light to heavy component total and individual mass ratios, respectively, N1/N2 is the number ratio, and Trh is the initial half-mass relaxation time scale. We also find two-component cluster parameters that best match multi-component (thus more realistic) clusters with power-law mass functions.

본 연구의 목적은 데이터 클러스터링을 활용해 기존의 플레이어 유형 이론을 비교하고 검증 하는 것이다. 연구 진행을 위해 A 대학교 2016년 2학기에 진행된 초대형 강의 수강생의 결과 데이터 235개를 활용했다. 본 연구에서는 K-평균(Means)과 적절한 클러스터 수를 결정하기 위 해 실루엣(Silhouette) 평가기법을 적용했다. 적용한 플레이어 유형은 바틀의 2차원, 3차원 플레 이어 유형, Ferro의 5 가지 유형, 브레인헥스이다. 연구결과에 따르면, 바틀의 2차원 플레이어 유형이 데이터 클러스터링 관점에서 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 각 플레이어 유형 별 특성 분포도 해석했다. 본 연구결과는 게이미피케이션을 적용하거나 개발 프로세스를 연구할 때 사 용되는 플레이어 분석 부분에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다.

Laparoscopic appendectomy using three trocars has been widely performed. Recently, a single incision laparoscopic surgical procedure has become popular because it is less invasive. We report on our early experience in performance of single incision laparoscopic appendectomy (SIL-A). Data on the operating time, the duration to make the pneumoperitoneum, body mass index (BMI), rate of conversion to another operation, complication, hospital stay, dosage of analgesics, and pain score were collected prospectively at two centers. Twenty seven patients underwent SIL-A. The mean BMI was 23.3±3.1 kg/m2 (17.6-30.5). The mean time required to make a pneumoperitoneum was 9.9±5.0 minutes (5.0-28.0). The mean operating time was 37.6±26.7 minutes (10.0-100.0). The rate of intra-operative complication was 3.7% (1/27), and the rate of post-operative complication was 22.2% (6/27). The mean hospital stay was 4.1±1.2 days (2-6). The immediately postoperative pain score was 5.4±1.5 (3-8), however, the pain score at discharge was 0.4±0.7 (0-2). The mean dosage of analgesics was 1.5±1.3(0-4), however, none of the patients took analgesics after postoperative three days. SIL-A is feasible but requires improved instrumentation and experience.

The aim of this study is to evaluate satisfaction with critical pathway (CP) in nursing gastric cancer patients. From January to June 2008, non critical pathway group (NCPG, n=28) is used by general doctor’s order. However, from July to December 2008, critical pathway group (CPG, n=25) received the CP schedule applied by the PA on the pre operative day. The collected data were analyzed by chi-square, and student t-test using the SPSS/Win 12.0 program. Patient’s satisfaction increased with understanding of disease and treatment process, explanation of related study and treatment, education regarding activity status, and degree of confidence in doctor. Patient satisfaction was higher in the CPG than in the NCPG.
