        선택적 촉매 환원법(SCR)은 질소산화물(NOx)을 저감하는 매우 효율적인 방법으로 알려져 있으며 발생된 질소산화물(NOx)을 질 소(N2)와 수증기(H2O)로 환원시키는데 촉매 작용을 한다. 질소산화물(NOx) 저감 성능을 결정하는 요소 중 하나인 촉매는 셀 밀도가 증가하 면 촉매효율이 증가하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 실습선 세계로호에 설치되어 있는 발전 기관의 배기가스 조건을 모사한 실 험장치를 통하여 100CPSI(60Cell)촉매의 부하에 따른 질소산화물(NOx) 저감 성능을 확인하고 세계로호에 설치되어 있는 25.8CPSI(30Cell) 촉 매의 기존 연구 자료와의 비교를 통해, 셀 밀도가 질소산화물(NOx)의 저감에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다. 실험용 촉매는 셀 밀도만 변화를 주었고 형태는 벌집형(honeycomb), 조성물질은 V2O5-WO3-TiO2를 동일하게 사용하여 제작하였다. 실험결과 100CPSI(60Cell) 촉매의 질소산화물(NOx) 농도 저감율은 평균적으로 88.5%이며 IMO specific NOx 배출량은 0.99g/kwh로 IMO Tier III NOx 배출기준을 만족하였다. 25.8CPSI(30Cell) 촉매의 경우, 질소산화물(NOx) 농도 저감율은 78%, IMO specific NOx 배출량은 2.00g/kwh 이었다 두 촉매의 NOx 농도 저감 율과 IMO specific NOx 배출량을 비교하였을 때, 100CPSI(60Cell)촉매가 25.8CPSI(30Cell) 촉매보다, NOx 농도 저감율은 10.5% 높고 IMO specific NOx 배출량은 약 2배 적은 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 촉매의 셀 밀도를 높임으로써 효율적인 탈질효과를 기대할 수 있으며 향후 실선 테스트를 통하여 검증한다면 촉매의 부피 저감을 통한 제작 비용을 줄이고 협소한 선박 기관실을 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 실용적 인 자료로서 기대된다.

        일반적으로 부유식 해상풍력발전 에너지의 수급성과 효율을 극대화하기 위해서는 하부구조물의 파랑 감쇠로 인한 운동을 저 감시키는 것이 중요하다. 선행 연구들에 따르면 파도 중 하부구조물에 설치된 감쇠판에 의해서 발생한 와류점성으로 인해 운동 응답이 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 5MW급 반잠수식 OC5 플랫폼과 감쇠판이 부착된 두가지 플랫폼을 설계하고, 와류점성으로 인 한 운동저감효과를 확인하기 위해 자유감쇠실험과 수치계산을 수행하였다. 모형시험 결과로 낙하 높이를 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm에서의 상하 자유감쇠실험을 수행하였을 때 OC5 플랫폼 대비 두 가지의 형태의 감쇠판이 부착된 플랫폼이 상대적으로 운동감쇠성능이 향상되었다. 모형시험과 수치계산 결과에서 형상화한 감쇠판 모델(KSNU Plate 1, KSNU Plate 2)들이 각각 OC5 대비 상하운동 진폭이 1.1배, 1.3배 각각 감소했으며, KSNU Plate 2 플랫폼은 KSNU Plate 1 플랫폼보다 OC5 대비 약 2배 감쇠성능이 좋아진 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 감쇠 판의 면적과 와류점성이 상하동요의 감쇠율과 밀접한 관련을 보여준다.

        The distance between livestock facilities and residential spaces is decreasing. Moreover, livestock odor complaints are increasing due to the large-scale and concentrated livestock breading industry. In order to reduce odor from livestock facilities, bio-curtain that are easy to install and inexpensive are commonly used in Korea. However, there is a lack of basic data on design standards and operation manuals for bio-curtains. The installation density of the bio-curtain material is an important factor that affects the odor reduction rate, increment of the load on the ventilation fans, and the structural stability of the curtain. There are limitations on deriving the design conditions of the bio-curtain by only field experiments targeting invisible air. Therefore, aerodynamic simulation such as CFD (computational fluid dynamics) can be used to obtain quantitative data according to various environmental conditions. Bio-curtain is a porous medium with a complex structure, and it is necessary to derive aerodynamic coefficients to analyze it. In this study, the wind speed and pressure difference according to the design density of the bio-curtain were monitored using the experimental chamber. Using the field results, a pressure resistance curve was created for each flow velocity and installation density. The viscosity and resistance coefficient of the bio-curtain were calculated through the derived resistance curve.

        This study evaluated the odor mitigation effect of rice husk biochar addition to the bedded pack dairy barn floor using lab-scale reactors for five days. Rice husk biochar mixed with dairy manure and sawdust mixture at different ratios (5%-addition test unit: adding biochar by 5% of the total solid weight of the mixture, 10%-addition test unit: adding biochar by 10% of the total solid weight of the mixture). Cumulative NH3 and H2S emissions of 10%-addition test unit were reduced by 26% (p< 0.05) and 46% (p = 0.0655), respectively, compared with control. However, 5%-addition test unit did not show NH3 and H2S emission reduction. Further research is needed to determine the appropriate level of biochar addition between 5 and 10%, and to evaluate applicability in the field through economic analysis.

        본 연구는 반려견 양육활동에 따른 외로움감소 및 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아 보기 위하여 수도권에 있는 20대에서 60대에 이르기 까지 반려동물 양육활동을 하고 있 는 290명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 인구사회학적 특성에 따라 반려인의 외로움 감 소 및 삶의 행복감과 반려견에 대한 애착 및 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 회귀분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 성별, 연령, 학력, 결혼유무, 종교인수 및, 동거인 수에 따라 외로움 감소는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 하지만 행복감과 만족도는 성별과 결혼 유무에 따라 유의미한 차 이를 나타냈고, 연령, 학력, 종교유무 및 동거인 수에는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 또한 반 려견에 대한 애착과 양육활동의 긍정적인 마인드는 성별에만 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 하 지만 연령, 학력, 결혼여부, 종교유무 및 동거인 수에는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 반려견을 양육하는 반려인들에게 미치는 긍정적인 측면은 다양한 반려인들이 공유할 수 있도록 하고, 반려견 양육시 고려해야 할 사례는 예비 반려인을 위해 정보가 제공되어 반 려견 양육활동에 도움이 되길 기대해 본다.

        The present trial verified the effects of spraying microbial agents on odor reduction in commercial pig farms of different operating sizes and barn types. Farms without microbial agent spraying and those sprayed with microbial agents at two different intervals were compared. The treatments included spraying of water alone every day or a mixture of water plus microbial agent at 24 and 72 h intervals. The experimental farms were divided according to size into 1,000-, 3,000-, and 5,000-head farms and according to barn type into gestation, farrowing, nursery, and grower-finisher farms. To compare odor concentration within each housing barn, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide gas levels were measured. The average concentrations of ammonia (p<0.01) and hydrogen sulfide (p<0.05) gas were the lowest in all types of farms sprayed with the microbial agent at a 24 h interval. In farms sprayed with the microbial agent at a 24 h interval, the decrease in ammonia concentration according to barn type was in the following order: farrowing (p<0.01) (11.0 to 1.8 ppm), nursery (p<0.05) (17.0 to 9.2 ppm), grower-finisher (15.3 to 8.8 ppm), and gestation (9.7 to 6.4 ppm) farms. Moreover, spraying the microbial agent at a 24 h interval significantly (p<0.01) decreased ammonia concentration from 19.9 to 10.4 ppm, from 11.1 to 4.1 ppm, and from 8.8 to 5.1 ppm in 5,000-, 3,000-, and 1,000-head farms, respectively. Overall, spraying microbial agents every day may be the most effective method to reduce odor in commercial pig farms.

        PURPOSES : In this study, a system is investigated and developed to remove fog by injecting air onto a road using high-pressure air generated by turbo blowers installed on both edges of the road without using artificial chemicals. METHODS : A test device was constructed on a scaled road measuring 5 m long. A 225 kW class turbo blower was used to supply air. An air injection nozzle was installed to allow high-pressure air supplied from the turbo blower to be sprayed vertically from the edge of the road and horizontally from the surface of the road. Ten micro humidifiers were used to generate fog. RESULTS : Experimental results show that when ground fog occurs on the road, spraying air only in the vertical direction cannot effectively remove the fog. However, when vertical and horizontal nozzles are used simultaneously, both ground fog and flowing fog are removed effectively. CONCLUSIONS : A system for removing fog by spraying air jet is constructed, and fog is generated using a micro humidifier. Results from the fog removal performance test show that the system effectively removes fog.

        PURPOSES : Fine dust significantly affects the atmospheric environment, and various measures have been implement to reduce it. The aim of this study is to reduce fine dust on roads by implementing porous pavements and a clean road system using the low-impact development technique. METHODS : We conducted quality tests (draindown, cantabro loss rate, tensile strength ratio, dynamic stability, and indoor permeability coefficient tests) and performance evaluation (dynamic modulus and Hamburg wheel-tracking tests) on the porous asphalt mixture. Subsequently, we constructed a porous pavement road in a test bed and conducted a permeability test. In the test bed, we installed a nozzle, a water tank, and a fluid pump to water the roadside. After the clean road system was completely installed, we measured the concentration of fine dust before and after water was sprayed. Additionally, we conducted a total suspended solids (TSS) test to confirm the reduction in re-suspended dust. RESULTS : All results from the quality test of the porous asphalt mixture satisfy the standards stipulated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Results from the dynamic modulus test show a low plastic deformation resistance but a high fatigue crack resistance. The results from the Hamburg wheel-tracking test satisfy the U.S. Department of Transportation standards. After the porous pavement was constructed, a permeability test was conducted, and the result satisfies the standard value. Using a particle counter, we measured the concentration of fine dust before and after water spraying, and results show 12.08% and 10.23% for PM10 and PM2.5 particles, respectively. The results from the TSS test show that after the initial water spray, almost all re-suspended dust are removed from a road. In unfavorable road conditions, almost all re-suspended dust are removed after a second water spray. CONCLUSIONS : The results of all of quality tests performed on a porous asphalt mixture satisfy the standards. By applying the results to a test bed, the problem of securing water is solved. Using the clean road system, 12.08% and 10.23% of PM10 and PM2.5 particles are removed, respectively. The system removes PM10 particles (larger particles) more effectively compared with PM2.5 particles. IN the future, we plan to revise the maintenance plan such that the porous pavement can exhibit long-term performance. Because pipe freezing may occur in the winter, we plan to analyze the periodic maintenance plan of the porous pavement and develop a solution to mitigate the issue of freezing pipes in the winter.

        The United States’ Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) introduces new eligibility requirements for existing USD 7,500 tax-credit provided to electric vehicles. The new requirements condition the credit upon North American final assembly and North American-sourced materials and components. As tensions flare between the US and China, these new local content requirements reflect the US’s effort to establish a supply chain for electric vehicles that circumvents China. The blow, however, is felt elsewhere, namely by South Korean auto makers whose electric vehicle models are no longer eligible for the significant tax-credit necessary to compete in the American market. As South Korea considers submitting a complaint to relevant international bodies, this paper dissects the IRA’s relevant provisions and analyzes the applicability of international trade law rules of the WTO and the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement to the new local content requirements of the IRA.

        Currently, many complaints have been filed by local residents on helicopter noise while the law on noise prevention and damage compensation at military airfields and military ranges has been in effect since November 27, 2020. The airfields operated by state agencies are inevitably used to defend the country, defend the country, and protect the lives of the people, but various efforts are needed to minimize noise complaints. In general, helicopters operating in a specific area exhibit different noise frequencies depending on the number or size of wings for each type, takeoff speed, and takeoff altitude. Therefore, by measuring and analyzing noise in the take-off stage of a number of helicopters operating in a specific area, this study aims to present more effective noise prevention measures by analyzing the compliance of each type of helicopter with variables such as take-off speed, take-off altitude, and rise rate. Therefore, the results of this study will be significant in terms of resolving complaints and reducing compensation expenditures of local residents around the airport.

        대기오염물질과 온실가스 배출량을 저감 시키기 위한 배기 후처리 장치에 대한 연구는 활발히 진행 중이지만 그 중 선박용 입 자상물질/질소산화물(PM/NOx) 동시저감 장치에서는 엔진에 미치는 배압 및 필터 담체 교체에 대한 문제가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 PM/NOx를 동시저감 할 수 있는 일체형 장치의 최적 설계를 위해 장치 내부 유동과 입·출구 압력을 통한 배압의 변화를 연구하여 적절한 기준을 제시하였다. Ansys Fluent를 활용하여 디젤미립자필터(DPF) 및 선택적촉매환원법(SCR)에 다공성 매체 조건을 적용하였고 공극률은 30 %, 40 %, 50 %, 60 % 및 70 %로 설정하였다. 또한, 엔진 부하에 따른 Inlet 속도를 경계 조건으로 7.4 m/s, 10.3 m/s, 13.1 m/s 및 26.2 m/s로 적 용하여 배압에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. CFD 분석 결과, 장치의 입구 온도 보다 입구 속도에 따른 배압의 변화율이 크고 최대 변화율은 27.4 mbar였다. 그리고 모든 경계 조건에서의 배압이 선급 기준인 68 mbar를 초과하지 않았기 때문에 1800 kW 선박에 적합한 장치로 평가 되었다.

        For observation training of firing weapons, military operates Joint Fire Training Simulator system. During the acceptance test for deployment of weapon system, it occurred that could increase training fatigue in mock observation device. This study describes in cause analysis and improvement activities to solve it. Due to the characteristics of observing training with a small image panel through the ocular, image noise and skipping are factors that cause fatigue to training. It was analyzed that the noise of image was caused by HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) splitter and design change was promoted. In addition, it was determined that the image skip occurred due to the software filter for stabilizing the image of mock observation device. It was solved by improving the calculation error of accumulating data. Securing the quality of observation images is expected to reduce training fatigue and contribute to improving the training environment.

        The main noise of a large machine can be divided into the noise generated during the work process and the noise of the equipment used in the work. The main noise in the noisy area is the air propagation sound caused by the operation of the rotating body. This is not fixed, but changes depending on the situation at the time of measurement. Workplaces exposed to noise can harm workers' health and cause related industrial disasters, resulting in many complaints and social problems, and eventually lead to a lot of damage in terms of productivity. Large machines that need noise reduction the most are motors, pumps, fans, blowers, and compressors. To reduce noise, mechanical structure or material changes are most effective. In this study, the noise reduction method and noise management method of large machines were investigated. To measure noise, the same method as ISO 3744 in Europe and JISA 8305 in Japan was used as KS A ISO 3744, KS A ISO 3746, which is a method of measuring the acoustic power level of machinery.

        Due to the development of the industry, the machinery of plant facilities becomes large and operates at high speed and high power. Workers at plant facility sites are exposed to high noise and impact noise, and the number of people with noise-induced hearing loss is increasing every year. Therefore, in order to minimize such damage, many efforts have been made to reduce the noise of large machines in production facilities. Measures, education, and recommendation of wearing hearing protectors are needed to protect the hearing of workers in high noise industries. In addition, it is urgent to reduce noise sources by blocking noise propagation paths, such as installing noise boxes and silencers, and installing facilities and equipment that generate less noise. It is necessary to repair the noise reduction device of the large machine of the plant or to study the noise reduction device when designing the plant.

        In this study, we compared the microbial reduction effects of drying, hot water, and microwave sterilization in scourers and dishcloths to suggest a most suitable sterilization method. Three scourer types (silver, copper, and mesh) were used, and three dishcloth types (silver, bamboo, and cotton) were used. Drying time dependent reduction in Escherichia coli was high in silver and copper scourers, but minimal bacterial reduction was obtained against Bacillus cereus in all scourers and dishcloths. In scourers, E. coli was not detected after ≥30 s of hot water sterilization at 77oC, and B. cereus was not detected after ≥60 s of hot water sterilization at 100oC. In dishcloths, E. coli was not detected after hot water sterilization at 77oC for ≥30 s, but B. cereus was detected after hot water sterilization at 100oC for ≥60 s. In scourers, E. coli was not detected after microwave sterilization at 700 W for 3 min, but B. cereus was detected. In dishcloths, E. coli was not detected after microwave sterilization with 700 W for ≥1 min, but B. cereus was detected in the cotton dishcloth even after sterilization for 3 min. In conclusion, the use of antimicrobial scourers (silver and copper) and dishcloths (silver and bamboo) are not sufficient to reduce the microbial contamination. The guideline provided by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety suggesting dishcloth sterilization via hot water at 100oC for 30 s was also found to be insufficient. Based on our research, we suggest that the most effective methods of microbial management are submerging scourers in hot water at 100oC for ≥1 min, and sterilizing dishcloths for ≥3 min using a 700 W microwave.
