본 논문에서는 공급자(Supplier)-제조업자(Manufacturer)-유통업자(Distributor)-소매업자(Retailer)-고객(Customer)으로 이루어진 공급 사슬에서 고객의 주문 변동과 각 티어(tier)에 의 배송 정책에 따른 영향을 평가한다. 고객의 주문은 자기 상관이 있는 AR(1) 프로세스를 따르고, 각 티어에서의 배송 정책은 다운스트림(downstream)의 주문을 대응하는 방식에 따라 일괄 배송과 부분 배송으로 나눈다. 각 티어 사이에는 배송 리드타임(lead time)이 존재하고 주기별로 각 티어의 배송 비용을 계산한다. 고려하는 공급 사슬 모델은 ARENA를 사용하여 시뮬레이션 모델로 구축하고 주문 변동, 배송 정책, 배송 리드 타임에 따른 공급 사슬 영향도를 분석한다.

The main focus of this study is to investigate the performance of a clark-scarf type multi-echelon serial supply chain operating with a base-stock policy and to optimize the inventory levels in the supply chains so as to minimize the systemwide total inventory cost, comprising holding and backorder costs as all the nodes in the supply chain. The source of supply of raw materials to the most upstream node, namely supplier, is assumed to have an infinite raw material availability. Retailer faces random customer demand, which is assumed to be stationary and normally distributed. If the demand exceeds on-hand inventory, the excess demand is backlogged. Using the echelon stock and demand quantile concepts and an efficient simulation technique, we derive near optimal inventory policy. Additionally we discuss the derived results through the extensive experiments for different supply chain settings.

This research is focused on the development of the performance measuring system for the supply chain. Although there are previous researches about this, they has the limit to measuring the performance. This is oriented that each measuring system deal with a certain level like strategic level, tactical level, or operational level of the supply chain. However, it is necessary to measure the performance in multiple levels collectively. A new performance measuring system using key performance indicators with integrating SCOR-Model(Supply Chain Operations Reference Model) with Balanced Scorecard(BSC) is proposed in this research. Since SCOR-Model and BSC are mainly dealt with strategic level and operational level, the proposed system can overcome the limit of previous researches. Then, this methodology is used to develop the real time performance measuring system.
