        The properties of SOFC unit cells manufactured using the decalcomania method were investigated. SOFC unit cell manufacturing using the decalcomania method is a very simple process. In order to minimize the ohmic loss of flattened tube type anode supports of solid oxide fuel cells(SOFC), the cells were fabricated by producing an anode function layer, YSZ electrolyte, LSM electrode, etc., on the supports and laminating them. The influence of these materials on the power output characteristics was studied when laminating the components and laminating the anode function layer between the anode and the electrolyte to improve the output characteristics. Regarding the performance of the SOFC unit cell, the output was 246 mW/cm2 at a temperature of 800˚C in the case of not laminating the anode function layer; however, this value was improved by a factor of two to 574 mW/cm2 due to the decrease of the ohmic resistance and polarization resistance of the cell in the case of laminating the anode function layer. The outputs appeared to be as high as 574 and 246 mW/cm2 at a temperature of 800˚C in the case of using decalcomania paper when laminating the electrolyte layer using the in dip-coating method; however, the reason for this is that interfacial adhesion was improved due to the dense structure, which leads to a thin thickness of the electrolyte layer.

        ZnO thin films were grown on a sapphire substrate by RF magnetron sputtering. The characteristics of the thin films were investigated by ellipsometry, X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), photoluminescence (PL), and Hall effect. The substrate temperature and growth time were kept constant at 200˚C at 30 minutes, respectively. The RF power was varied within the range of 200 to 500 W. ZnO thin films on sapphire substrate were grown with a preferred C-axis orientation along the (0002) plan; X-ray diffraction peak shifted to low angles and PL emission peak was red-shifted with increasing RF power. In addition, the electrical characteristics of the carrier density and mobility decreased and the resistivity increased. In the electrical and optical properties of ZnO thin films under variation of RF power, the crystallinity improved and the roughness increased with increasing RF power due to decreased oxygen vacancies and the presence of excess zinc above the optimal range of RF power. Consequently, the crystallinity of the ZnO thin films grown on sapphire substrate was improved with RF sputtering power; however, excess Zn resulted because of the structural, electrical, and optical properties of the ZnO thin films. Thus, excess RF power will act as a factor that degrades the device characteristics.

        Low level light therapy (LLLT) is known to accelerate the process of wound healing, bone and cartilage formation, and to decrease tissue necrosis and inflammation. It also can be applicable to acute and chronic injury or degenerative disease. Despite forty- plus years of accumulating exprerience of the clinical efficacy of LLLT, their molecular biologic evidence is not fully elucidated. The aim of this review is to explore the role of the ROS system and its molecular biologic mechanism in related with inflammatory response, anti-apoptosis and angiogenesis during LLLT. We suggest that activation of ROS system explains many (if not most) of the observed response of cells to LLLT in vitro, and is likely to play a pivotal role in the response of animals and patients to LLLT for both experimental and clinical indications and diseases.

        Expanded graphites were used as anode materials of high power Li-ion secondary battery. The expanded graphite was prepared by mixing the graphite with HClO4 as a intercalation agents and KMnO4 as a oxidizing agents. The physical and electrochemical properties of prepared expanded graphites through the variation of process variables such as contents of intercalation agent and oxidizing agent, and heat treatment temperature were analyzed for determination of optimal conditions as the anode of high power Li-ion secondary battery. After examing the electrochemical properties of expanded graphites at the different preparing conditions, the optimal conditions of expanded graphite were selected as 8 wt.% of oxidizing agent, 400 g of intercalation agent for 20 g of natural graphite, and heat treatment at 1000℃. The sample showed the improved charge/discharge characteristics such as 432 mAh/g of initial reversible capacity, 88% of discharge rate capability at 10 C-rate, and 24 mAh/g of charge capacity at 10 C-rate. However, the expanded graphite had the problems of potential plateaus like natural graphite and lower initial efficiency than the natural graphite.

        연안에서 목적으로 하는 어업에 적합하도록 소형 어군탐지기를 효율적으로 설계하고 평가할 수 있는 방법에 대해 검토하기 위하여 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 어군탐지기의 특성과 탐지범위 등에 대해 조사하였다. 먼저 일반적인 어군탐지기의 빔폭은 주파수와 송신전력이 상승함에 따라 좁아지고 송수파기의 직경은 송신전력이 증가함에 커지는 경향을 보였다. 이 특성을 이용하여 상업적으로 사용되는 일반적인 어군탐지기의 신호대 잡음비를 유도하였다. 탐지거리와 탐지폭으로 구성되는 탐지범위는 이 신호대 잡음비(SN비)로부터 얻을 수 있다. 탐지거리는 주파수의 증가와 함께 증가하였지만 고주파에서는 흡수계수의 영향으로 원거리 탐지가 어려워진다. 즉 송수파기 직경, 송신전력의 증가에 따른 효과는 저주파에서는 크고, 고주파에서는 적은 경향을 보인다. 탐지범위 등을 종합적으로 응용하여 휴대용 어군탐지기의 설계 범용도를 작성하였다. 범용도에는 SN비를 송수파기의 직경, 빔폭, 탐지거리를 변수로하여 주파수에 대해 표시하였다. 범용도에서 SN비가 높고 실용성이 높은 적절한 설계영역을 표시하였다. 설계영역에서 설계점을 정하면 전체적으로 적절한 설계를 할 수 있다. 설계범용도는 어군탐지기의 성능평가에도 응용할 수 있다.

        풍력발전기의 출력곡선은 풍속과 출력의 관계를 나타내는 것이다. 풍력발전기의 출력은 밀도에 비례하고 풍속의 삼승에 비례하므로 신뢰성 있는 출력곡선을 얻으려면 풍황중 특히 풍속도을 정확히 측정하고 분석하여야 한다. 풍속도는 크기인 풍속과 풍향으로 표현되는 매우 불규칙한 난류 벡터량이다. 풍속도 난류는 출력에 지대한 영향을 미치므로 이에 대한 특성분석이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 풍속도의 난류를 먼저 난류강도로 나타내어 출력에 대한 영향을 풍속의 함수로 분석하였다. 이어서 풍속도의 난류를 풍속난류와 풍향난류로 나누어 출력에 미치는 영향을 난류강도와 풍속의 함수로 분석하였다. 그 결과 시동풍속 부근의 저속영역에서는 난류강도가 큰 경우가 보다 큰 출력을 생산함을 알게 되었다. 연간발전량 역시 연평균풍속이 시동풍속 부근인 경우에는 난류강도가 큰 경우가 많았으나 풍력발전이 경제성을 갖는 풍속에서는 예상대로 난류강도가 작을수록 증가하였다. 또한 시동풍속 부근의 저풍속 영역에서는 풍속난류가 출력에 큰 영향을 주며, 고풍속 영역에서는 풍향난류가 출력에 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다.

        The object of this study is to investigate the penetration characteristics according to the change of stacking sequences and curvature radius in the composite laminated shell. They are staked to [02/902]S and [0/902/0]s, their interlaminar number are two and four. We are manufactured to composite laminated shells with various curvature radius. Curvature radius of composite shell is 100, 150, 200mm and ∞(it's meaning flat-plate). In general, kinetic energy after impact-kinetic energy before impact increased linearly in all specimens. Absorbed energy increased linearly as the curvature increased, and absorbed energy of [02/902]S specimen, which is small interlaminar number, was higher than [0/902/0]s specimen.

        This study was designed to determine the effects of swimming and low power laser on rheumatoid arthritis in Sprague-Dawley rats. Rheumatoid arthritis was induced in 36 rats among 48 Sprague-Dawley rats by the subcutaneous injection of .05 ㎖ Freund's Complete Adjuvant into the right hind paw and .05 ㎖ Freund's Complete Adjuvant into the right hind knee joint capsule. A second injection was performed by the same method using .1 ㎖ Freund's Complete Adjuvant per a rat. Arthritic rats were divided into 8 groups: each 1 week and 2 weeks of arthritic swimming, arthritic laser, arthritic case control and normal group. In this study, several experimental tests were performed to determine the concentration of Interleukin-6, the space of the knee joint and the thickness of the hind paw. The concentration of Interleukin-6 and hind paw thickness decreased in the swimming group and laser group as compared to the control group. The space of the knee joint increased significantly after the swimming exercise. Swimming and low power laser therapy positively affect rheumatoid arthritis in rats affect by decreasing the concentration of Interleukin-6 and hind paw thickness, and increasing the space of the knee joint.
