As the life standard has enhanced, food products has incomparably advanced both in quality and variety to meet the consumer's choice. Despite of high quality and variety, appropriate food safety system has not been established yet in food manufacturing. With Product Liability issuance effective on July 2002, consumers are demanding far higher food safety level than what it used to be. The food manufacturers are seeking food safety assurance system. HACCP system is a pivotal product safety system providing the infrastructure to PL. By the time in the early 1970 when HACCP was developed suitable for food, it comprised the category of Risk, in fact it was quantitative sequence system. In a preparatory phase of HACCP, decision mostly depends on the quantitative analysis. In a recent study, the introduction of Risk Analysis is being reviewed for Food Safety system. In this study, FTA, FMEA are also reviewed in comparison with HACCP which have been utilized in Safety Engineering.
Since China put forward the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013, China has actively worked with the Initiative to revitalize relevant regional resources and encourage developing countries to participate in global social governance from a global macro strategic perspective. It should be noted that the initiative has promoted connectivity and exchanges among countries by promoting border infrastructure construction. This strategic direction is in line with Indonesia’s “global marine fulcrum” plan. Moreover, the development of infrastructure construction in Indonesia lags behind. These factors have provided more opportunities and development space for The cooperation between China and Indonesia in the field of infrastructure construction, and the economic cooperation is getting closer and deeper. In Korea, extensive industry-academia-research research has already established many facilities and technologies for materials and chemical experiments on non-radioactive substances. However, few facilities have been built to analyze the physical and chemical properties of substances irradiated through neutron irradiation. Korea is planning to decommission Kori-1 and Wolsong-1 in 2027. Extensive analysis of low-level and intermediate-level materials is required to begin decommissioning these nuclear power plants. The material’s composition and level can be identified by analyzing the structure’s characteristics, and a cutting and decontamination plan can be established based on this. In addition, by conducting a nuclide analysis on the waste generated after cutting, suitability for disposal can be secured, and stable treatment can be performed. Accordingly, the Korea Decommissioning Research Institute (KRID) plans to secure infrastructure (hot cells) to analyze the characteristics of intermediate-level decommissioning waste. The goal is to secure high-dose/high-radiation decommissioning waste processing technology through Korea’s first intermediate-level hot cell, support domestic nuclear power plant decommissioning projects, and secure and verify procedures related to nuclide analysis of intermediate-level using hot cells. In addition, by possessing these material properties and nuclide analysis technology, KRID can have a foundation to conduct continuous research on low- and intermediate-level radioactive materials and decommissioning. The purpose of KRID’s establishment is to use this foundation in the future to improve the technological level of the nuclear industry as a whole through linkage between industry, academia, and research institutes.
In Korea, many characteristic component facilities and technologies in general experimental areas for non-radiative materials are owned by industry-academia research. Still, no characteristic analysis test technology has been developed for large, intermediate-level decommissioning waste emitted by neutron irradiation. Since Korea plans to decommission nuclear power plants in 2027, securing analysis technology for intermediate-level decommissioning waste is essential. Accordingly, the Korea Research Institute of Decommissioning (KRID) plans to secure an infrastructure (hot cell) to analyze the characteristics of intermediate-level dismantled waste. Afterward, we intend to stably dispose of the waste generated while decommissioning the current Gori Unit 1/Wolseong Unit 1 using the intermediatelevel dedicated hot cell. It aims to secure high-dose/high-radiation decommissioning waste handling technology through intermediate-level hot cells for the first time in Korea, supports domestic nucleardecommissioning projects, and secure and validate procedures related to material characteristics and nuclide analysis of intermediate-level waste. Furthermore, research on intermediate-level radioactive materials is expected to be carried out in cooperation with schools and research institutes.
From 1970 to 1990, North Korea’s trade mainly carried out maritime trade through ports for countries around the world. This trend is due to UN sanctions against North Korea, and after the third nuclear test in 2016, North Korea gradually became isolated from the outside world as it expanded to include maritime sanctions in the form of comprehensive sanctions targeting an unspecified majority of North Korea. The logistics structure of North Korea is due to the logistics infrastructure left during the Japanese colonial period in the 1950s and the political structure of the country, with railroads being the main source of logistics and passenger transportation, and roads being secondary. North Korea faced rapid deterioration and lack of facilities after 1990 due to the lack of investment in facilities and improvement of the operating system despite the advanced logistics infrastructure and operating system compared to the South. In particular, the power shortage in North Korea hindered the operation of the railroad and accelerated the aging of the railroad facilities, which has continued to this day. In the 2010s, 96% of cargo transportation in North Korea’s logistics infrastructure depended on railroads and roads, and ports that were developed until the 1980s have deteriorated with little investment since the economic crisis of the 1990s. Although some ports have been developed since 2010, North Korea’s east and west coasts are separated and there is no function of shipping to connect ports, so it did not have a significant impact on enhancing the nation’s port capacity. As North Korea’s trade dependence on China has increased, North Korea has largely relied on land transport, except for some cargoes that are advantageous for marine transport, such as coal. This structure again leads to a decrease in investment in ports, and the current vicious cycle of causing problems with North Korean port facilities is repeated. In this study, North Korea’s land and marine trade logistics system such as railway, road, and shipping and the trend of foreign trade due to sanctions against North Korea were analyzed. Through this analysis, it is planned to be used as a basis for developing the routes and scenarios through which major nuclear items can be transferred in the event of denuclearization of North Korea in the future.
The poverty level in Buru Regency is still high, despite the relatively stable economic growth. For this reason, the purpose of this study was to (1) Identify the leading commodity in each district in Buru Regency; (2) Analyze the effect of road infrastructure and leading commodities on poverty. The findings show that the most sparsely populated district is Fena Leisela, with mangoes as the leading commodity. Pineapple, langsat, apple rose, cabbages, cashews, coffee, cashew, melon, and watermelon are the leading products in Air Buaya, Batabual, Waplau, Lolong Guba, Lilialy, Waelata, Namlea, Kaiely Bay, and Waeapo, respectively. Additionally, the results also indicate that road infrastructure and leading commodities have a significant effect on poverty alleviation in Buru Regency. It means that improving infrastructure and increasing leading commodities production reduce poverty in the region. Good road infrastructure can promote connectivity between regions so that it can accelerate and expand economic development. The provision of infrastructure that encourages connectivity will reduce transportation costs and logistics costs to increase product competitiveness and accelerate the economic movement. When the road infrastructure in Buru Regency improves and new roads are built, it can improve transportation access, it will reduce the living cost for the poor and increase income, and open up opportunities for the poor to benefit from economic growth.
A model is presented in this paper to provide understanding of the supply chain integration and supply chain information practices’ impact on the manufacturing industries. The supply chain information practices play a crucial role in sharing information between the members of SC network. Thus, it is important to develop a comprehensive understanding of the differences and similarities among ISI and information management. It will allow firms to systematically evaluate and carefully choose the information strategy. The empirical findings of this research offer essential and interesting insights about what role SCI, supply chain information and Supply chain ISI play in determining Malaysia’s financial performance. The theoretical gaps addressed in this study are of significant importance, since a little empirical evidence is available regarding system infrastructure and supply chain information management’s effectiveness. This research provides further paths of exploring system infrastructure and information management, thereby defining the manufacturing industries’ next step in SCM struggle i.e. modifying total integrated SC principle in other manufacturing firms. The Resource-based theory discovered organizational resources as an essential organizational success ingredient. Therefore, in order to recognize its potential value, internal resources, for instance, information system and management must be fully utilized.
