        Animal bones excavated from historic sites provide valuable data for identifying the lifestyles of people and the distribution of animals at that time. In this study, we investigated the morphological structure, size, and measurements of Cervidae bones excavated from a well at the Gasan-ri archaeological site in Jinju, which are believed to be relics from the Three Kingdoms period. The total number of excavated animal bones was 447, of which 102 (22.82%) were classified as Cervidae bones. The weight of Cervidae bones was 453.79 g, accounting for 46.53% of the total weight of the identified bones (975.30 g). The Cervidae bones were identified as those of two animals with an estimated age of 5–6 months. The Cervidae bones are divided into skull bones, vertebrae, ribs, sternum, hip bones, forelimb bones, and hindlimb bones. The 102 Cervidae bones consisted of 19 skull bones (18.63%), 14 vertebral axial skeletons (13.72%), 28 ribs and sternum (28.43%), 16 forelimb bones (15.69%), and 19 hindlimb bones (18.63%). The remaining six were difficult to distinguish. A fracture of the parietal bone located near the bregma of a skull was observed and was presumed to have been caused by an artificial blow. This study can be used as basic data to estimate the types of animals and human culture at the time through Cervidae bones believed to be relics from the Three Kingdoms period.

        국내 중·저준위 방사성폐기물은 영구적 격리를 위해 처분장에 매립하고 있으며 그 위치는 경주에 있다. 이러한 방 사성폐기물의 영구적인 격리를 위한 처분시설은 공학적 방벽과 자연 방벽으로 구성되어 있으며 자연 방벽을 특성을 파악 하기 위하여 한국원자력환경공단에서는 2006년부터 부지특성조사를 수행하였고, 이후 부지감시 및 조사계획에 따른 감시 를 수행하여 부지특성의 변화를 지속적으로 확인하고 있다. 중저준위 방폐장의 수리지화학적 환경은 자연 방벽의 평가를 위해 중요한 요소로 손꼽히고 있으나 동해와 가까운 경주의 지역적 특성상 해수의 영향을 반드시 고려해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 처분 부지의 지하수 관정 7개 및 관정의 심도별 수질 자료를 취합해 지하수 자료 총 30개를 해수 2개소와 비교 분석하여 수리지화학적 환경을 해석하였다. 분석 자료는 수질 10개 항목(온도, EC, HCO3, Na, K, Ca, Mg, Cl, SO4, SiO2)을 2017년 3분기부터 2022년 3분기까지 총 5년간 20회의 자료를 활용하였다. 특히, EC, HCO3, Na, Cl의 농도 변화 를 통해 연구 지역의 배경 농도 및 관정의 구간별 해수의 영향을 파악하였으며, 시계열 군집 분석을 통해 담수, 기수, 해 수의 분류를 시도하였다. 그 결과, 기존의 모니터링 방법으로는 확인하지 못한 부지내 수리지화학적 변화를 제시하였다.

        최근 전 세계적으로 전례 없는 홍수와 극심한 폭염이 발생하면서 급속한 기후 변화의 심각성에 대한 세계적 인식이 높아졌다. 태양광 발전시설의 사회적 수용성과 안전성을 적극 홍보하는 한편, 국가 차원에서 정책 결정과 사업 운영을 최적화하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 연구는 영남·호남권 12개 주요 시·도의 태양광 발전설비 효율을 지역 에너지자원 지원 시스템과 기상자료를 활용한 DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis)를 활용하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 지역 내 지리적 범위의 차이는 발전효율의 성능적 평가의 차이점이 발생하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 경제적 측면과 환경적 측면을 모두 고려한 태양광 발전시설에 대한 최적의 공간정보시스템의 중요성을 강조한다. 국내 신재생에너지 발전시설의 입지적 조건 개선으로 거시적 측면의 운영을 질적으로 보완하여 에너지 정책적 지원 필요성을 시사하며, 에너지 투자사업의 경제성 및 타당성을 제시하고자 한다.

        To ensure the maintenance of the nuclear emergency response system, it is important to periodicaly conduct hazard assessments using up-to-date input variables. The results of this review are apllied to drills and exercises, enabling the inspection of emergency plan and response procedures. Therefore, this study aims to analyze off-site consequences according to the occurrence time of the Design Basis Accident (DBA) for the Hanaro Fuel Fabrication Facility (HFFF) by using the recent site-specific meteorological data and to review the appropriateness of urgent protective measures. MELCOR and SafeHanaro computer codes were used for radiation source-term estimation and environmental impact assessment, respectively. It was assumed that radioactive materials are released into environment for 2 hours due to the fire during the nuclear fuel sieving process. The following 12 scenarios for each occurrence time period was selected (0 am, 2 am, 4 am, 6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm, 10 pm) and the effective dose and thyroid dose in earlyand intermediate-phase were assessed. As a result, the most severe exposure-induced accident scenario is found to be as occurring at 0 am on July 15th, with the Most Exposed Individual (MEI) positioned 200 meters downwind from the facility. The committed effective dose for MEI is identified as to be 2.97E-02 mSv which has a significant margin against the IAEA's (Generic Intervention Level) GIL and (Generic Criteria) GC. During the passage of the radio-active plume, the estimated effective dose and thyroid dose due to inhalation were 2.97E-02 mSV (99.99%) and 5.06E-05 mSv (99.77%), respectively. External exposure appeared to be negligible. Meanwhile, the thyroid dose is noticeably below the criteria for decision-making for distribution of Potassium Iodide (KI). Accordingly, in order for local residents to participate in the exercise and drills, it is essential to develop scenarios considering simultaneous emergencies at multi-facilities and latenight accidents. In conclusion, this results will be used to improve the exercise plans for enhancing the nuclear or radiological emergency competencies of the KAERI.

        To secure approval for a decommissioning plan in Korea, it is essential to evaluate contamination dispersion through groundwater during the decommissioning process. To achieve this, licensees must assess the groundwater characteristics of the facility’s site and subsequently develop a groundwater flow model. It is worth noting that Combustible Radioactive Waste Treatment Facility (CRWTF) is characterized by their simplicity and absence of liquid radioactive waste generation. Given these facility characteristics, the groundwater flow model for CRWTF utilizes data from neighboring facilities, with the feasibility of using reference data substantiated through comparative analysis involving groundwater characteristic testing and on-site modeling. To enable a comparison between the actual site’s groundwater characteristics and the referenced modeling, two types of hydraulic constant characterization tests were conducted. First, hydraulic conductivity was determined through long-term pumping and recovery tests. The ‘Theis’ and ‘Cooper-Jacob’ equations, along with the ‘Theis recovery’ equation, were applied to calculate hydraulic conductivity, and the final result adopted the average of the calculated values. Secondly, a groundwater flow test was conducted to confirm the alignment between the main flow direction of the referenced model and the groundwater flow in the CRWTF, utilizing the particle tracking technique. The evaluation of hydraulic conductivity from the hydraulic constant test revealed that the measured value at the actual site was approximately 1.84 times higher than the modeled value. This variance is considered valid, taking into consideration the modeling’s calibration range and the fact that measurements were taken during a period characterized by wet conditions. Furthermore, a close correspondence was observed between the groundwater flow direction in the reference model (ranging from 90° to 170°) and the facility’s actual flow direction (ranging from 78° to 95°). The results of reference data for the CRWTF, based on the nearby facility’s model, were validated through the hydraulic properties test. Consequently, the modeling data can be employed for the demolition plan of CRWTF. It is also anticipated that these comparative analysis methods will be instrumental in shaping the groundwater investigation plans for facilities with characteristics similar to CRWTF.

        As nuclear decommissioning ventures become increasingly complex, the role of digitalization in facilitating and enhancing these operations is becoming indispensable. This transition to a more digitized approach presents a myriad of advantages, including: augmented avenues for data acquisition, analysis, and visualization to bolster dismantling strategies; simulations in virtual environments for operator training; precise forecasting of future waste emergence, culminating in refined cost estimations; and more immersive decommissioning visualizations for both operators and external stakeholders. Salient benefits conferred by the integration of digital technologies in decommissioning encompass improved collaboration, enriched knowledge transfer, clarity regarding present technological constraints, insights into key influencing factors, clearer criteria for technology selection, and a profound understanding of the potential challenges and merits of a broader incorporation of digital tools in decommissioning endeavors. Of paramount importance is the opportunity presented for superior workforce training and safety measures, exemplified by ALARAbased planning. Amidst the myriad facets of digital adoption, 3D modeling of nuclear facilities derived from laser-scanned point clouds stands out as a pivotal domain in the digitalization. The transformation of intricate point cloud data into a comprehensible 3D mesh remains the crux of this paper. The process of mesh generation, despite being simpler than its counterpart of converting to a 3D solid model, is crucial for multiple reasons. The resultant 3D mesh offers an enhanced visual representation compared to a sparse point cloud, paving the way for improved spatial perception. Furthermore, it serves as a rudimentary tool for approximating component volumes and the ensuing waste, thereby playing an instrumental role in waste manipulation strategies, notably in collision detection. This paper delves deep into the nuances of mesh generation, conducting an parametric study of mesh conversion algorithms, including down-sampling rates. Through this rigorous examination, we endeavor to shed light on optimal methodologies, hoping to catalyze advancements in the digitalization of nuclear decommissioning processes.

        용인 영문리유적 출토 편주형 석도 5점에 대한 사용흔을 분석하여 그 사용 방식을 추정하였다. 분 석 결과 아래쪽 날에 대해서는 기존의 사용 방식을 다시 한 번 입증하게 되었다. 구체적인 사용법은 오른손 중지에 끈을 연결하여 석도를 잡은 다음, 엄지로 벼과식물을 석도에 밀착시키고 검지로 누르 면서 손목을 비틀어 이삭을 따는 형태로 복원되었다. 측면 날에 대한 분석에서는 날을 따라 분포하는 발달된 벼과식물 접촉 광택, 날과 같은 방향의 선상흔 등이 관찰되어, 수확 후 짚 확보나 잡초 제거를 위해 날과 평행하는 방향으로 석도를 움직여 여러 줄기의 벼과식물을 한 번에 자르는 용도가 상정되 었다. 또한 앞뒷면 광택 발달 정도의 차이에 따라 오른손잡이와 왼손잡이의 사용을 구분할 수 있었으 며, 구체적인 사용법으로 직접 석도를 손에 잡고 다른 손으로 벼과식물의 윗부분을 잡은 다음 작업자 의 몸 쪽으로 석도를 당기면서 절단하는 방식이 추정되었다. 그리고 이러한 분석을 통해 편주형 석도 가 수확 현장에서 이루어지는 두 가지의 다른 작업에 대응 가능한 다목적 도구임을 확인할 수 있었다.

        The effects of an individual effective dose from radioactive contamination that will remain during site reuse after the decommissioning of nuclear facilities is generally assessed using the RESRAD code. The calculated results should meet the site reuse criteria presented by regulators, 0.25 mSv/yr in the United States and 0.1 mSv/yr in Korea. After completion of decommissioning, the dose is not subject to measurement, resulting in Derived Concentration Guideline Level (DCGL) remaining at the site that is practically consistent with the dose criteria. In order to assess dose using the RESRAD code, various requirements will need to be considered and determined, where the selection of input parameters is one of the important factors in the dose assessment. In addition, appropriate selection of site-specific parameters is important to reflect the site characteristics of each decommissioned Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). Therefore, this study intends to analyze the impact of site-specific parameters by referring to the cases of overseas decommissioned NPPs. In order to evaluate doses using RESRAD code, a site reuse scenario must first be selected. In general, in the case of unrestricted reuse, the resident farmer scenario can be applied, so the resident farmer scenario was also selected in this study. In addition, once a resident farmer scenario is selected, input parameters are selected according to the scenario, and the input parameter inputs a single value or distribution according to the deterministic or probabilistic evaluation method. Therefore, since this study is to evaluate the effect on site-specific parameters, a single value was applied as a deterministic evaluation method. For the 10 site-specific parameters considered in overseas cases, the difference was set twice using the F9 function key in the RESRAD code and the results were analyzed. In this study, we used prior research data targeting domestic nuclear facility for sensitivity analysis. Related parameters include the category of contamination layer, soil, water transport, ingestion, and occupancy. The parameters that appeared as the greatest influence among the 10 parameters were different in radionuclide on the contaminated zone. We showed the changes according to the difference in input parameters was presented using the graph provided by the RESRAD code. As a result, in the evaluation for Co-60 in this study, no significant change was observed. However, in case of H-3, several parameters values were changed, indicating that the effect on dose will be different depending on the site characteristics of the nuclear facilities.

        To mitigate the environmental impacts of the energy sector, the government of South Korea has made a continuous effort to facilitate the development and commercialization of renewable energy. As a result, the efficiency of renewable energy plants is not a consideration in the potential site selection process. To contribute to the overall sustainability of this increasingly important sector, this study utilizes the Black-Scholes model to evaluate the economic value of potential sites for off-site wind farms, while analyzing the environmental mitigation of these potential sites in terms of carbon emission reduction. In order to incorporate the importance of flexibility and uncertainty factors in the evaluation process, this study has developed a site evaluation model focused on system dynamics and real option approaches that compares the expected revenue and expected cost during the life cycle of off-site wind farm sites. Using sensitivity analysis, this study further investigates two uncertainty factors (namely, investment cost and wind energy production) on the economic value and carbon emission reduction of potential wind farm locations.

        시설재배지 고추(Capsicum annuum)에 주요 총채벌레는 꽃노랑총채벌레(Frankliniella occidentalis)와 대만총채벌레(F. intonsa)이다. 본 연구는 이들 총 채벌레의 월동 생리를 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 두 총채벌레는 동결감수성 곤충으로 낮은 저온(-15~-25°C)에서 체내빙결점을 보였다. 그러나 이 체내빙결 점은 두 종 사이에 그리고 발육태에 따라 상이하였다. 꽃노랑총채벌레의 경우 성충 -25.7±0.5°C, 번데기 -17.2±0.3°C, 약충 -15.0±0.4°C였고 대만총채벌레 는 성충 -24.0±1.0°C, 번데기 -27.0±0.5°C, 약충 -17.2±0.8°C에서 체내빙결점을 기록하였다. 그러나 실제로 두 종의 저온 피해는 체내빙결점보다 높은 온도 에서 일어났으며, 처리온도가 내려갈수록 그리고 노출시간이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 대만총채벌레에 비해 꽃노랑총채벌레가 저온에 대해서 높은 내한성을 보였으며 발육태에 따라 약충보다는 성충이 높은 내한성을 나타냈다. 그러나 두 종 모두는 치사 저온조건(-10°C, 2시간)에 노출되기 전에 0°C에서 2시간 미리 노출되면 저온 피해가 현저하게 줄어드는 급속내한성유기를 보였다. 또한 단계적으로 감소하는 저온에 노출되면서 저온순화를 발현하였다. 이들 총채벌레의 월동처를 알아보기 위해 시설재배지 안팎에서 동계모니터링이 진행되었다. 동계기간(11월~2월) 두 종 성충은 야외에서 채집되지 않았지만, 시설재배지 내부 에서는 꽃노랑총채벌레가 황색점착트랩과 잡초에서 포획되었다. 동계기간 시설재배지 토양시료에서 꽃노랑총채벌레 성충이 지속적으로 우화되었으나, 대만 총채벌레는 11월과 12월 토양시료에서 나오지 않았지만, 1월 이후 채집된 시료에서 성충 우화가 관찰되었다. 휴면에 따른 우화율 차이인지를 분석하기 위해 상이한 일장을 이들 두 총채벌레 종에 처리하였다. 이 결과 꽃노랑총채벌레는 일장조건과 무관하게 우화한 반면 대만총채벌레는 단일조건에서는 우화하지 않 았다. 한편 이들 총채벌레가 전파하는 Tomato spotted wilt virus도 동계기간 총채벌레가 채집된 잡초에서 검출되었다. 이상의 결과는 꽃노랑총채벌레가 겨 울기간 시설재배지 내부에서 잡초를 먹이로 발육하는 반면, 대만총채벌레의 경우는 휴면상태로 토양 속에서 월동하는 것으로 추정되었다.

        Jangchungdan is located at the skirt of Namsan near Namsomundongcheon, so the buildings are arranged with many podiums. The steps for people to go up and down such podiums are placed around the buildings. The Western-style constructional methods and materials introduced by the opening of ports were used for a variety of Jangchungdan buildings with differentiated levels of podiums, for Jangchungdan memorial ceremonies, and other building materials were also installed along with the changes in clothes and lifestyles. Although Dansa was constructed in the Chinese style, it reflected the shrine plane used in Joseon Dynasty, which in turn is thought to reflect Gubonsincham, the basic concept of Gwangmu Reform, as in the case of Jangchungdan memorial ceremonies.

        The Kori Unit 1 and Wolsong Units 1, commercial reactors in South Korea, were permanently shut down due to the expiration of their design lifetime. Therefore, nuclear power plants that have been permanently shut down must be dismantled, and the site must be finally released after removing the remaining radionuclides. Domestic regulatory standards for site remediation should not exceed 0.1 mSv per year based on effective dose. In addition, it is necessary to calculate the preliminary Derived Concentration Guideline Levels (DCGL) to prove that the conditions are met. Therefore, in this study, the input factor considering the geological characteristics of the site of Kori Unit 1 was investigated, and the preliminary Derived Concentration Guideline Levels were calculated and compared with the results of previous studies. As a result of comparative analysis, 60Co, 134Cs, and 137Cs, which are gamma-ray emitting radionuclides, had similar values to DCGL of previous studies A and B. However, 63Ni, a beta-rayemitting nuclide, was 5.94×104 Bq·g−1 in this study and 8.47×101 Bq·g−1in previous study B, resulting in a difference of about 700 times. In addition, in the case of 90Sr, this study and previous study A were derived similarly, but this study was 5.34×101 Bq·g−1 and previous study B was 1.18×10−1 Bq·g−1, resulting in a difference of about 450 times. This difference is judged to be because, unlike this study using only the industrial worker scenario, in the case of previous study B, the resident farmer scenario was mixed and used, which considers the internal exposure caused by ingestion of food produced in the contaminated area. In this study, it was confirmed that DCGL according to the change of geological factors of the site did not have a significant effect on gamma-ray-emitting nuclides. However, it was confirmed that considering the intake of food affects the DCGL of beta-ray-emitting nuclides. Therefore, there is a need to conduct future studies applying intake input factors that meet domestic conditions.

        본 연구는 남원 관광목적지 네트워크를 분석하여 관광지 관리방안을 도출하기 위하여 수행되 었다. 이를 위해 남원 주요 관광지 4개소에서 조사된 설문지를 가지고 관광행태 분석(n=552)과 사회네트워크 분석(n=311)을 진행하였다. 남원에서 하루 이내로 체류하는 관광객의 비율이 매 우 높으며 방문 관광지수도 2곳 이내로 한정되어 있다. 그러므로 활성화를 위해 관광객의 체류 시간을 증대할 수 있는 관광지관리 전략의 수립이 요구된다. 남원 관광지 중심성 분석 결과, 광 한루원이 절대적 우위를 차지하고 있었다. 광한루원은 명실공히 남원의 대표적 관광지이자 관 광 네트워크의 핵심적인 역할을 하는 관광지라 할 수 있다. 광한루원을 중심으로 인접한 남원 관광단지를 비롯하여 시내권 관광지를 연계하는 전략이 필요하다. 매개 중심성이 높은 정령치 를 중심으로 지리산권 관광지를 연계하는 콘텐츠의 확대가 요구되며 나아가 시내권 관광지와 지리산권 관광지를 연계할 수 있는 관광거점으로서의 관광지관리 전략을 수립해야 한다. 혼불 문학관은 북부권 대표적 관광지로 거리상 인접한 시내권 관광지와 연계하는 전략이 요구된다. 남원은 시내권, 북부권, 지리산권으로 관광지가 산재되어 있으나 관광객은 특정 장소에 편중되 므로 관광콘텐츠 및 관광지의 적절한 연계와 체류시간 연장을 유도하는 관광 프로그램의 개발 은 남원 관광의 매력을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.

        The most important thing to successfully restore an oak forest is finding suitable climatic conditions and topographic factors for the oak species to be introduced. In this study, in order to find suitable environmental conditions for the five dominant oak trees on the Korean Peninsula, we carried out analysing the information on the location of forest vegetation on the Korean Peninsula. The range of annual mean temperature of the five oak trees was narrow in the order of Q. mongolica (7.7~14.3°C), Q. variabilis (9.2~13.8°C), Q. acutissima (10.5~14.3°C), Q. serrata (11.4~13.7°C), Q. aliena (11.0~12.9°C). The range of annual precipitation of oaks was narrow in order of Q. mongolica (1072.7~1780.9 mm), Q. variablis (1066.6~1554.9 mm), Q. acustissima (1036.5~1504.8 mm), Q. serrata (1062.6~1504.7 mm). The range of altitude was in order of Q. mongolica (147~1388 m), Q. serrata (93~950 m), Q. variabilis (90~913 m), Q. acustissima (60~516 m), Q. aliena (55~465 m). The range of slope was in the order of Q. mongolica (8~56°), Q. variabilis (5~52°), Q. serrata (11~45°), Q. aliena (15~38°), Q. acustissima (16~37°). These results are considered to be very useful in the case of ecological restoration using deciduous oak trees on the Korean Peninsula.

        This study simulated strong ground motion waveforms in the southern Korean Peninsula, based on the physical earthquake modeling of the Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) BroadBand Platform (BBP). Characteristics of intensity attenuation were investigated for M 6.0-7.0 events, incorporating the site effects. The SCEC BBP is software generates broadband (0-10 Hz) ground-motion waveforms for earthquake scenarios. Among five available modeling methods in the v16.5 platform, we used the Song Model. Approximately 50 earthquake scenarios each were simulated for M 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0 events. Representative metrics such as peak ground acceleration (PGA) and peak ground velocity (PGV) were obtained from the synthetic waveforms that were simulated before and after the consideration of site effects (VS30). They were then empirically converted to distribution of instrumental intensity. The intensity that considers the site effects is amplified at low rather than high VS30 zones.

        Ginseng has a unique production system that is different from those used for other crops. It is subject to the Ginseng Industry Act., requires a long-term cultivation period of 4-6 years, involves complicated cultivation characteristics whereby ginseng is not produced in a single location, and many ginseng farmers engage in mixedfarming. Therefore, to bring the production of Ginseng in line with GAP standards, it is necessary to better understand the on-site practices of Ginseng farmers according to established control points, and to provide a proper action plan for improving efficiency. Among ginseng farmers in Korea who applied for GAP certification, 77.6% obtained it, which is lower than the 94.1% of farmers who obtained certification for other products. 13.7% of the applicants were judged to be unsuitable during document review due to their use of unregistered pesticides and soil heavy metals. Another 8.7% of applicants failed to obtain certification due to inadequate management results. This is a considerably higher rate of failure than the 5.3% incompatibility of document inspection and 0.6% incompatibility of on-site inspection, which suggests that it is relatively more difficult to obtain GAP certification for ginseng farming than for other crops. Ginseng farmers were given an average of 2.65 points out of 10 essential control points and a total 72 control points, which was slightly lower than the 2.81 points obtained for other crops. In particular, ginseng farmers were given an average of 1.96 points in the evaluation of compliance with the safe use standards for pesticides, which was much lower than the average of 2.95 points for other crops. Therefore, it is necessary to train ginseng farmers to comply with the safe use of pesticides. In the other essential control points, the ginseng farmers were rated at an average of 2.33 points, lower than the 2.58 points given for other crops. Several other areas of compliance in which the ginseng farmers also rated low in comparison to other crops were found. These inclued record keeping over 1 year, record of pesticide use, pesticide storages, posts harvest storage management, hand washing before and after work, hygiene related to work clothing, training of workers safety and hygiene, and written plan of hazard management. Also, among the total 72 control points, there are 12 control points (10 required, 2 recommended) that do not apply to ginseng. Therefore, it is considered inappropriate to conduct an effective evaluation of the ginseng production process based on the existing certification standards. In conclusion, differentiated certification standards are needed to expand GAP certification for ginseng farmers, and it is also necessary to develop programs that can be implemented in a more systematic and field-oriented manner to provide the farmers with proper GAP management education.
