대만산 뿔나방과의 재정리를 통해 10 미기록종 및 1신종이 발견되어 이를 보고하며, 1신종, Faristenia obliqua Park, sp. nov.를 생식기 도해와 함께 기재, 발표한다.

Twelve new species, Cryphia herczigi sp. nov., C. hohuana sp. nov., Odontestra lasxlogabe sp. nov., O. attila sp. nov., Xylena plumbeopaca sp. nov., Taivaleria rebrifasciata sp. nov., Hemiglaea radiata sp. nov., Nyctycia signa sp. nov., Fabiania pulla sp. nov., F. satellitia sp. nov., F. marki sp. nov., Asidemia albovitta sp. nov., and three new subspecies, Xestia fuscostigma csoevarii ssp. nov., Karana hoenei marcida ssp. nov. and genera, Taivaleria gen. nov. and Fabiania gen. nov., are established, and taxonomic notes for some little known noctuids are given. Illustrations of the male or the female genitalia for 45 species, and 34 images of adults are provided.

Research and a, pp.ication of earthquake protection system in Taiwan have become very active since about ten years ago. Many passive isolators, etc., have been studied extensively. These studies have resulted in a few practical a, pp.ications and proposals of two draft design provisions for seismic isolation design of bridges and buildings. In addition to the pass control, analytical studies on active semi-active control have also been very active and the experimental studies have scheduled in the near future. This paper summarise the progress on recent research and a, pp.ication of earthquake protection systems in Taiwan. The emphases are given to the control systems that have been a, pp.ied in practical a, pp.ications.

In view of the rapid development of economics and technology, perilous meteorological and geological conditions often cause natural disasters and result in severe loss of lives and properties in Taiwan. To promote multi-hazard mitigation strategies in an integrated a, pp.oach, the National Science Council established a National Science and Technology Program for Disaster Mitigation in January 1998. This program emphasizes on the implementation of research results in the National Disaster Management System. This paper describes the earthquake loss estimation methodology that is currently developed in Taiwan. Topics of potential earth science hazards (PESH) and building vulnerability analysis are described in detail.

대만산 과실파리과의 신종, Cornutrypeta taiwanensis를 그림과 함께 기재한다. 이 종은 대만에서 최초로 기록되는 Cornutrypeta 속이며, 노랑접시트랩을 사용하여 동일 지역에서 채집한 각각 2개체씩의 수컷과 암컷들을 모식표본으로 선정하였다. 이 종의 계통학적 유연관계는 분지학적인 방법론을 사용하여 추정하였다.

Forty three species of the Dichomeris of Taiwan and Japan are revised, with descriptions of 15 new species (albula, angulata, aomoriensis, davisi, fusca, fuscalis, lutea, linealis, lividula, lushanae, ochreata, orientis, symmetrica, taiwana, trilobella). Twelve species; Dichomeris autometra (Meyrick), D. conclusa (Meyrick), D. crambalaeas (Meyrick), D. cyproPhanes (Meyrick), D. cymatodes (Meyrick), D. enoptrias (Meyrick), D. hoplocrates (Meyrick), D. issikii (Okada), D. okadai (Moriuti), D. pyrroschista (Meyrick), D. syngrapta (Meyrick) and D. viridescens (Meyrick), are new combinations in Dichomeris. The genus Hyperecta Meyrick is synonymized with Dichomeris, and D. kawamurai Matsumura is newly synonymized with tostella Stringer and limitellus (Caradja) with oceanis Meyrick. An identification key, descriptions and illustrations of habitus, male and female genitalia, and information on hosts are provided. Phylogenetic relationship of the species in the genus are discussed with a cladistic analysis, using 44 morphological characters. Fifteen species-groups of Dichomeris are recognized.

Global warming awareness through energy conservation is growing due to the regulatory policies issued by governments and voluntary organization that established carbon emission limits. Transportation is one of the major contributors to carbon emissions. Bike will be simultaneously saving money, getting fit and helping to reduce global warming. Web design has been identified as a key factor for the acceptance and success of the websites and electronic commerce. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effective implementation of the proposed Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique on a bike case study whose company (Bike Company) is involved in web design for a critical component in the demonstration. Survey research used a variety of data collection methods, with the most common being questionnaires and interviews of some exporters. The research results reveal that the top five key success factors are Good reputation, Transaction security, Ease of use, Promotion, and Diversified choices, which provide the guidelines and directions for decision-makers to design effective websites in the current competitive business scenario. The major findings of this study are suggesting that Internet marketing channels are securing the company’s relevance, together with paving the way for methods to increase web traffic.

최근 세계적으로 다문화 교육에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 인근 대만은 국제화와 다문화를 설명할 수 있는 지역으로 매우 적합하다. 이 연구의 목적은 대만 다문화 교육을 이해하기 위하여 심도 있게 분석 고찰하는 데 있다. 연구방법으로는 다문화 관련 문헌 및 정책 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 대만은 다양한 민족 구성과 정치사회적 배경으로 다문화 인프라가 구축되어 있으며, 대륙배우자 및 동남아 배우자의 정착 및 교육에 있어 시민 주도하에 국가정책이 형성되었다. 또한 이들을 ‘신주민’으로 지칭하고, 2007년 중앙 정부에 ‘이민서’ 라는 전담 기관이 설립되어 있으며, 지방정부 차원에서 2008년 타이페이현에 ‘신주민교육지원과’가 개설되어 신주민의 정착과 교육에 대한 정책지원이 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 연구 결과, 대만의 다문화 교육정책은 우리 다문화 교육의 발전 방향에 시사하는 바가 매우 크다고 할 수 있다.
