        Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the experiences of families caring for patients with home mechanical ventilation. The question was, “What is the caregiving experience of a family who has a member with home mechanical ventilation?”. Methods: This study was a qualitative study to explore and describe the implications of experiences of families caring through a phenomenological approach. One-on-one in-depth interviews were conducted with family caregivers who worked as full-time for caring for patients with home mechanical ventilation, and the results were analyzed using Colaizzi’s (1978) phenomenological method. Participants’ relationships to patients were 1 spouse, 1 father, and 6 mother. The ages of the participants were between 33 and 59, with an average of 45.1. Results: In this study, family members’ caregiving experience was emerged. Analysis revealed the following themes: Felt burdened but had to accept it; Seized by fear; The weight I must bear alone; Everything is difficult and unfamiliar; Still, my home; and Sorry for the other family members. It was found that caregivers had decided to discharge their loved ones from the hospital out of a sense of duty. Conclusion: The families took care of the patients with responsibility and love. The study results should help with the understanding of a family with a member with home mechanical ventilation and should be used to develop nursing, mediating, and consulting programs for these caregivers

        In this study, the humidity control effect of a counter-flow ventilator was analyzed in a greenhouse with high relative humidity at night in the winter season. A case of the counter-flow ventilator was 0.96 × 0.65× 0.82(W× D × H, m) and there were heat transfer element and two fans for air supply and exhaust in the counter-flow ventilator. Two counter-flow ventilators were used in this study and the setting humidity of the ventilators was 80%. The temperature and relative humidity at night(18:00-8:00) in the greenhouse were measured. In a greenhouse without a counter-flow ventilator, the average temperature and humidity was 14.9°C, 82.8%, respectively. When the counter-flow ventilator was operated, the corresponding averages were 15.1°C, 79.9%. The independent sample t test of monthly temperature and relative humidity showed no difference in temperature, and a significant difference in relative humidity with 1% of the significance level. Therefore, using the counter-flow ventilator helps to control relative humidity in greenhouse and increase yield.. And further research considering the pros and cons of using the counter-flow ventilator is needed.

        In this study, a energy recovery ventilation system was applied to the pig model, intake and exhaust duct were installed at a height of top(2.1 m), middle(1.25 m) and bottom(0.4 m). In each of the 9 test sites, one test was performed from 10:00 to 18:00, optimal temperature exchange efficiency and temperature distribution were analyzed. In order to analyze the effect of the energy recovery ventilation system, the temperature of 31 points(4 points of the ventilation system and 27 points in the pig house model) was measured from 10:00 to 18:00. The test that showed the highest heat exchange efficiency was the configuration of middle intake duct and top exhaust duct, which was 75.44%. The test that showed the most uniform distribution was the configuration of middle intake duct and bottom exhaust duct. These results will be utilized to optimally design feeding environment of actual pig houses and to reduce fuel cost.

        본 연구는 무창돈사에서 폐기되는 에너지를 재이용하기 위해 열회수형 환기장치의 효율 및 돈사 내부 환경에 미치는 영향을 분석하여, 실제돈사에 적용 가능성을 구명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 열회수형 환기장치의 적용에 따른 내부 온도, 상대습도, CO2 및 부유미생물을 측정, 분석하여 돈사 내 열회수형 환기장치 적용 시 연료비 절감 및 돼지 사육 환경의 최적 조건 산출을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다. 실험은 돈사 내 환기팬 및 열회수형 환기장치를 설치하여 세 가지 다른 조건에서 실험을 행하였다. 첫 번째, 환기팬 및 열회수형 환기장치를 가동하지 않은 상황(Test-1), 두 번째, 환기팬만 가동한 상황(Test-2), 그리고 마지막으로 열회수형 환기장치만 가동한 상황(Test-3), 세 가지 상황으로 구분하여 실시하였다. 열회수형 환기장치를 가동하였을 경우, 내부 상, 중, 하층부의 온도가 가장 균일한 것으로 나타났고, 상대습도 또한 일정하게 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. CO2 농도의 경우, 환기팬을 가동한 상황(Test-2)보다 다소 높았지만 시간이 지남에 따라 농도가 낮아지는 것으로 보아, 환기에 효과가 있다고 판단된다. 부유미생물의 경우는 밀폐된 상황(Test-1) 보다 오히려 높게 측정되었는데, 이는 열회수형 환기장치의 내부 교차오염 등에 의한 것으로 판단된다.

        An experiment was conducted to develop the simple methods of ginger storage which decrease the weight reduction and maintain good quality of ginger during the cellar storage. The stored boxes with volume of 0.03㎥ and ventilator diameter of 3, 4, 5cm was hurried under the ground(60, 80, 100cm) in the green house. During the cellar storage at the 100cm depth the average temperature and relative humidity in the stored box were remained in 11.7~16.3 and 73%, respect. The higher storage amount and smaller size of ventilator size increased the CO2 concentration in the stored box, and the concentration in the stored box with 50% storage quantity rate and 3cm ventilator diameter size was more than 10% for about 2 months from early Feburary. The decay rate of ginger during the cellar storage increased with higher amount of storage quantity and smaller size of ventilator. The CO2 concentration was low and remained relatively constant with the deeper location of stored box under the ground, and the decay rate was lower in the deeper stored box. Germination rate increased with the deeper location of stored box, and with the lower storage quantity and larger ventilator size. The germination rate was low in the higher decay rate box. Weight loss, total sugar and moisture contents of ginger were decreased, while crude fiber and ash were increased during the storage.
