생산적인 인문학기반 융합연구를 위해서는 방법론에 관한 고찰이 필요하다. 본고의 목적은 현상학과 인지 과학의 융합연구라는 맥락 안에서 이러한 방법론의 사례를 소개하고 평가하는 것이다. 본고는 에드문트 후설의 시간의식 현상학을 신경과학 연구에 선행적재하는 프란시스코 바렐라의 신경현상학 연구를 소개 하고, 이러한 방법론의 의의와 한계, 그리고 인문학기반 융합연구에 대한 시사점을 평가한다. 바렐라의 연구는 현상학의 현재장 분석, 즉 파지-근원인상-예지 구조를 동역학 이론을 매개로 뇌 활동이라는 생물 학적 기반과 연결한다. 이에 따르면 뇌 활동은 기초 규모, 통합 규모, 서사 규모라는 시간성의 세 규모에서 일어나는데, 특히 통합 규모가 현재장에 상응한다. 이러한 연구의 의의는 시간의식을 설명하는 매개를 제공한다는 점, 그리고 의식의 ‘어려운 문제’와 관련하여 ‘설명 간극’에 다리를 놓는다는 점이다. 그러나 이 연구의 한계는 ‘의식의 시간’을 가지고 ‘시간의 의식’을 설명하는 오류를 범한다는 점, 그리고 체험과 신경과정 사이의 동형성 이상을 제공하기 어렵다는 점이다. 나아가 이 연구가 인문학기반 융합연구에 대해 시사하는 점은 인문학이 자신의 고유한 이념과 방법론을 유지해야 한다는 점, 그리고 인문학이 과학 의 이론적 토대로서 기여할 수 있다는 점이다.

1992년 한국과 중국의 수교 이후, 양국은 30년 동안 경제, 교육, 문화 등 다방면의 교류를 통해 비약적인 성장을 이룩하였다. 현재 급변하고 있는 세계질서 속에서 양 국은 인문교류를 비롯한 수많은 관계 속에서 전략적 동반자로까지 관계가 격상되었 으나, 최근 서로를 불편하게 바라보는 시선을 넘어 혐오와 불신이 사회 전반으로 퍼 지게 되는 지경까지 이르렀다. 본 연구에서는 중앙정부 제도적 장치와 지방정부 및 민간 차원의 인문교류 과정들을 분석하여 양국 교류 중에 나타날 수 있는 갈등 및 오해를 발생 요인들을 정치·안보, 역사·문화, 사회 등 다각적인 관점으로 규명하여 양국의 관계가 지속 발전될 수 있도록 가교역할을 할 수 있는 인문교류 메커니즘의 보완적 필요에 대한 고찰과 함께 향후 양국관계가 나아가야 할 방향성에 대해 제언 하고자 한다.

이 논문은 이윤기의 소설 ｢숨은그림찾기 1-직선과 곡선｣에 대한 공식적인 문학교육 방식을 고찰하고 개선 방안을 제안한다. 이는 청소년의 현실과 연계하여 그 정신적 성장을 유인하는 문학교육, 인문교육과 제휴하는 문학교육 방안을 축적하는 작업의 일환이다. 공식적인 문학교육은 이 작품을 통해 타자 이해의 윤리를 주입하면서, 정형화된 타자 이해 교육의 패턴을 추수한다. 이는 학생들에게 공감을 유발하지 못하 며, 작품의 이해를 교란한다. 이 논문은 타자를 이해하자는 죽은 구호보다는 인간의 내재적 한계인 시각과 인식의 자기중심성에 주목하기를 제안한다. 이는 청소년의 심리적 특징인 자기중심성과 연계하여 교육할 지점을 마련한다. 문학교육은 청소년의 실제 현실을 연상시키면서 심리학적 지식을 보조 자료로 도입할 수 있다. 또한 청소년이 당면한 현실적 문제에 대한 통찰력을 기르고 마음을 다스리는 데 도움을 주기 위해 문학교육과 인문교육의 제휴는 유용한데, 그 자료의 축적에 기여하고자 이 논문은 시각과 인식의 자기중심성에 관한 동서양의 철학적 사유를 참고 자료로 제시한다.

This paper centers on how to deal with Sino-Xenic resources, or Sino-Korean texts of traditional Korean philosophy and religions from a perspective of Digital Humanities. Although philosophy including religious thought is at the center of pre-modern Korean Studies, the core contents have not been explored or re-organized from a perspective of Digital Humanities. However, the philosophical circle in Korea has not yet had a serious discussion about the DH circumstance where Sino-Korean philosophical resources are left behind. This paper discusses the feasibility of adapting traditional Sino-Korean philosophical resources to Digital Humanities and the conditions for the adaptation. And for a concrete and practical discussion, this paper will show an experimental DH analysis and visualization of some Sino-Korean philosophical texts and diagrams. And at the end, I will emphasize that the core of DH is humanistic activities rather than tech-oriented activities.

Humanities is originally a comprehensive discipline, and all disciplines must be formed under the foundation of humanities. To do so, humanities researchers should break their own castles, return to their original positions based on the humanistic reflection, and try various academic methods. Humanities should no longer be the recipient of the data and the user's role alone. But rather they are expected to play the role of the data curator, the leading role in data production and construction and use of a common platform, and the attempt to use the platform in various ways by the constant re-datafication make all relevant researchers enable collaboration. In addition, it is necessary to have the ability to solve problems through multi-fields, trans-fields, or cross-fields, which can be achieved not only by building basic knowledge in all fields of studies, but also by sharing interest, active participations, and diverse collaborations. We need to have critical and rational perspectives, and inclusive attitudes based on acceptance of differences, and all of these can be supported by our endeavors to solve structural problems.

한국 사회의 유학생 관리 상황이 양적 팽창에 비해 그 질적 수준이 정체되고 있는 가운데, 본 연구는 한국의 제2도시인 부산이라는 공간 속에서 중국 유학생들이 어떤 선택과 삶의 계획을 실천하고 있는지 이해하기 위해 초보적인 조사를 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 부산의 국립대학에 유학하고 있는 중국 유학생들이 체감하고 있는 한국 대학 교육 과정에서의 문제점과 인문학 소양 교육에 대한 실태들을 살펴보고자 했다. 논문에서 외국인 유학생 교육, 특히 중국인 유학생 교육에 있어서 보편적인 인문 교육의 확대를 강조하는 것은 그들로 하여금 지각된 차별감을 극복하는 사회적 지지 획득의 첫 단계라 판단된다. 이를 위해서 대학은 정책적 배려를 통해 이들 중국인 유학생들의 학습자 태도를 회복함과 동시에 유학 생활 속에서 만들어지는 스트레스와 우울을 제도적으로 관리할 수 있는 체계를 만들어 나가야 할 것이다.

상하이는 국제도시로 세계의 다양한 지식과 정보가 모이는 곳이었기 때문에 중국 그 어느 도시보다 지식인들이 집결하는 도시로 성장하였다. 상하이의 진보적 지식인은 국제정세 속에 서 중국이 처한 상황을 깨닫게 되었고, 서구 열강의 침략에 맞서기 위해 자연스럽게 상무정 신을 고취하였다. 많은 지식인은 중국 역사와 민간의 전통 속에서 협객을 발굴하였으며 그들 의 상무정신을 찬양하였다. 한편, 상하이는 노동 이주민의 도시였다. 세계대전 후 서구의 자 본이 상하이에 몰리게 되면서 국제도시 상하이는 중국 최대의 상공업도시로 성장하게 된다. 이에 상하이에는 다양한 국가, 인종, 지역민이 모여들었다. 이주민들은 그들의 생존과 이익을 위해 업종별, 출신 지역별로 다양한 조직을 결성하였고, 이들 조직은 조직의 결속을 위해 민 간의 협의정신을 적극 수용하였다. 결론적으로 근대시기 상하이에는 위로는 상류층 지식인의 엘리트문화에서 아래로는 하층 노동자들의 하위문화에 이르기까지 모두가 협의정신을 찬양하는 문화가 형성되었다. 이는 근대시기 상하이가 지식과 지식인, 자본과 노동자를 끌어들이는 동북아해역의 인문네트워크 중심도시로 성장한 것과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것이었다. 그리고 이것이 1920-30년대 상하이에 협의서사가 흥성하게 된 주요배경이 되었다.

This article discusses the nature of Korean classical Chinese texts, or Sino-Korean texts and pays attention to the need for compiling various reference works in pre-modern Korean studies. And it suggests that the introduction of Digital Humanities to the field is necessary and discusses the conditions for successful Digital Humanities in the field. Due to the ambiguity and complexity of Sino-Korean texts, students of the field need various reference works to refer to for a clear understanding of the texts. It is recently and widely accepted as an urgent task to compile various reference works for Korean studies, ranging from linguistic and term dictionaries to encyclopedias. However, since the number of people who want to use paper dictionaries and reference books continues to reduce, reference work projects for Korean studies need to consider changing the direction. Adopting the Digital Humanities methods in the whole process of the projects can bring promptness, accuracy, and up-to-date-ness to the projects, and enable the field to extend the territory and maximize versatility. In doing so, the projects of reference work for Korean studies can continue to contribute to the development of Korean studies. It can also be used as a useful cultural content on the Internet. There are two issues to take into consideration regarding adopting Digital Humanities for reference work making for Korean studies. One is fostering editors and project managers of Digital Humanities projects for Korean studies; the other is to establish a standard for reference work making projects for effective communication, project planning & evaluation, and manpower training, etc.

As many existing research fields are matured academically, researchers have encountered numbers of academic, social and other problems that cannot be addressed by internal knowledge and methodologies of existing disciplines. Earlier, pioneers of researchers thus are following a new paradigm that breaks the boundaries between the prior disciplines, fuses them and seeks new approaches. Moreover, developed countries including Korea are actively supporting and fostering the convergence research at the national level. Nevertheless, there is insufficient research to analyze convergence trends in national R&D support projects and what kind of content the projects mainly deal with. This study, therefore, collected and preprocessed the research proposal data of National Research Foundation of Korea, transforming the proposal documents to term-frequency matrices. Based on the matrices, this study derived detailed research topics through Latent Dirichlet Allocation, a kind of topic modeling algorithm. Next, this study identified the research topics each proposal mainly deals with, visualized the convergence relationships, and quantitatively analyze them. Specifically, this study analyzed the centralities of the detailed research topics to derive clues about the convergence of the near future, in addition to visualizing the convergence relationship and analyzing time-varying number of research proposals per each topic. The results of this study can provide specific insights on the research direction to researchers and monitor domestic convergence R&D trends by year.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution in recent years has become a global concern. Humanities scholars have experienced the crisis of humanities due to the new wave of this revolution based on science and technology and expressed much concern. The problem is that humanities scholars themselves think ‘there is no hope for the future of the humanities.’ In any age or environment, humanities can always exert their worth when they are faithful to the human spirit that comes within our spiritual human nature. Humanities have a mission to elevate the spirit of man spiritually, making life vital. In this way, humanities heal and make people healthy; thus indeed constituting the hope of human life. What we need in the face of the uncertainty of life brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution is a ‘Humanities of Hope’ which expresses and becomes hope for the future. The humanities of hope, moreover, must above all become the ‘humanities of healing’ which heals the souls of human beings abused by science and technology. This will strengthen existence through a positive affirmation of existence and overcome all irregularities and impurities through the search and discovery of meaning.

四柱命理學은 시간의 吉凶을 해석하는 학문이다. 그렇다면 처음 四柱의 年月日時라는 시간 의 기록은 언제부터 시작되었으며, 여기에 吉凶의 의미가 부여된 것은 어느 때부터일까. 고대 인들은 天文을 통해 일 년과 四時라는 시간의 기점을 만들었다. 특히 해와 달의 변화를 관측 하여 만든 시간의 의미는 신화를 통해 10개의 태양으로 표현되었는데, 이는 태양숭배 사회인 商나라에서 통치 전반에 영향을 미치는 중요한 가치체계가 되었다. 그들은 10일을 旬의 단위 로 사용하였고, 10개의 태양과 12달을 의미하는 글자를 혼합하여 60干支로 조합된 달력을 만 들었으며, 天干의 명칭으로 조상의 묘호를 삼아 제사를 지내었다. 甲骨文에서 時는 해의 밝기 나 생활관습에 따라 이름 지어졌으며, 달과 윤달은 朔望의 순서에 따라 숫자로 매겨지고, 年 은 거의 기록되지 않았다. 干支는 날의 표기부호로만 사용되었는데, 甲骨文 卜辭의 신탁과 그 것의 실현 여부를 대조하여 庚, 乙, 辛, 丁, 甲의 날이 점차 길한 날로 인식되었다. 길한 날은 조상들의 묘호와 제사의 이름이 되었으므로, 점차 미리 점을 치지 않아도 天干을 통해 길한 날을 알 수 있게 되었다. 商代의 날짜 표기 부호인 干支는 고대를 거쳐 축적된 天文學的 지 식과 商代의 甲骨文化 속에서 시간에 吉凶의 의미를 부여하는 단초가 되었다.

The purpose of this paper is to research on humanities in real games and electronic games for PX(player experience) in gamification. The humanities are academic disciplines that study human culture. The humanities include anthropology, archaeology, history, law, languages, linguistics, literature, philosophy, performing arts. As a well-designed game brings the most powerful and sophisticated user(human) experience, a well-designed gamified application can provide players with the supreme user experience, aka PX(player experience) causing playful behavior and a positive mindset. Recently 'gamification‘has been broadly accepted as a powerful motivator in various fields and the definition of gamification is expanding to take into consideration, 'PX(player experience)‘because gamification is the idea of using game-thinking and game mechanics to solve problem and engage players. This paper analyzed and compared each sub-branches of humanities with real and electronic games historically for basic theoretical foundations of PX in gamification.

Asian-Pacific Journal of Social Quality (AJSQ), published since 2014 by the Korean Association of Converging Humanities (KACH), South Korea, is a double-blind peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal dedicated to social quality studies. AJSQ is published biannually in June and December. Sponsered by the KACH, AJSQ shares its academic goal of promoting interdisciplinary research related to the region of Asia-Pacific, and publishes both articles that stay within such traditional disciplinary or regional boundaries and words that take an interdisciplinary approach to explore the commonalities and contrasts found in Asia-Pacific countries.

Play for mankind was evolved into the current era of digital media found in a monitor, so-called ‘game’. Along the current trend of broadly expanding the users of game, the collision is frequently occurred from the issues associated with balance between the proper and reverse function melted in a terminology, “game”. However from the perspective of writer, the existence of game, if it is in an inseparable relation with the mankind, should be fully accepted, rather than be blamed, therefore, our life should be settled down as a cultural trend in the age of “cultural prosperity”. The writer also realizes that game should be settled down as advanced cultural contents as high-edge, comprehensive cultural arts. Therefore, the writer strongly argues that the convergence of engineering and humanities imaginations should be achieved for the unity of knowledge in game industry. Humanistic element is required for the convergence of engineering and humanistic imaginations. In-depth consideration is highly required to find an approach how two afore-mentioned elements, that are totally different each other but in the neighborhood, are to be well-mixed and integrated for story-telling, which is the ultimate motivation for this study. Therefore as a result, a key to dilute the dysfunctional issues associated in game industry was the convergence of humanities; accordingly, this study was to seek a methodology what humanities can be integrated with the components of game, such as character, event and background.

There are 3,358 islands in Korea and about 85% of them are uninhabited islands. Concerning this, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM) has been seeking not only to settle the fundamental policy on the preservation, the utilization, and the development of the uninhabited islands but also to search the proper types of management suitable for the specialities by inhabited islands. Accordingly, we participated the humanities and sociological research from May 2012 to January 2013 by MLTM intended for 171 uninhabited islands belonging to Mokpo City, Yeosu City, Jindo-Gun, and Shinan-Gun for the purpose of the effective management and utilization of the uninhabited islands. In this treatise, we report the result of the humanities and sociological research about twenty six uninhabited islands nearby Hong-do island.

As part of such research, we participated the humanities and social science research from May 2012 to January 2013 by MLTM intended for 171 uninhabited islands in Mokpo City, Yeosu City, Jindo-Gun, and Shinan-Gun of Jeollanam-Do for the purpose of the effective management and utilization of the uninhabited islands. First of all, in this treatise, we report the results of the humanities and sociological research about nine uninhabited islands nearby Gakyeo island in Shinan-Gun of Jeollanam-Do.
