In this paper, effects of information sharing in multi-level supply chain management have been studied through simulation. The simulation model consists of a manufacturing company as a center, three suppliers, two logistic centers, and three different retail supply lines of each logistics centers. The mathematical model and the simulation were developed when real-time information sharing occurs and does not occur in supply chain under the assumption that each company applies (s, S) inventory policies. In addition, this paper analyzed the effects of the change of variables related to total costs, which compose of total ordering cost, total transportation cost, total carrying cost and shortage cost that are caused by the change of demand of three different patterns with the way of information sharing.

Owing to the latest changes in the IT environment and the advancement of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, the RFID technology has been frequently applied to the field of logistics and distribution. Now it is possible to acquire information in real-time more accurately and promptly as compared to data collection in the past, through the application of the RFID technology. However, in terms of the application of the RFID technology, the range of the field of logistics and distribution is considerably widely distributed. The management system that is able to monitor the RFID system installed in logistics centers and stores distributed in environmentally many regions, in real-time in the center is insufficient. Therefore, this study proposes a management system which is capable of transmitting the report of the occurrence of errors according to the pre-defined error types at the time of the occurrence of errors in the RFID system installed at each strategic foothold, in real-time to SMS and to the integrated monitoring system, and of taking actions for those errors from a remote place by using a mobile device. The purpose of the error management system proposed in this study is to minimize a data loss in the supplying network by quickly coping with errors in the area where the RFID system is installed.

본 논문은 공급 사슬 환경에서 중간 부품을 제조하여 기업을 대상으로 판매하는 중소 제조 기업의 가격 결정 전략에 대하여 연구하였다. 특히 국내에서 자동차 부품을 제조하는 중소 기업들이 고객사에게 중간 부품을 생산하여 납품하면, 고객사가 다시 이 부품을 활용하여 그 다음 단계의 부품을 생산하여 완성차 제조업체에 납품하는 공급 사슬 환경을 고려하였다. 중소 제조 기업이 생산한 부품의 완성차 탑재 여부는 완성차를 생산하는 대기업과 협상하고, 납품 가격은 해당 부품을 구매하는 고객사와의 협상에 의해 결정된다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 환경에서 중소 제조 기업이 최적의 가격 결정을 위하여 취할 수 있는 전략 수립을 연구하였다.

However, the customer demand used for an actual supply chain planning is a single deterministic value for each of periods. In this paper we study the choice of single demand value among of the given customer demand distribution for a period to be used in the supply chain planning. This paper considers distributed multi-echelon supply chain and the objective function of this paper is to minimize the total costs, that is the sum of holding and backorder costs over the distribution network under the service level constraint, by using demand selection scheme. Some useful findings are derived from various simulation-based experiments.
