학자들의 긍정적 평가를 모티브로 어쉰의 방황에 나타난 시간여행을 다루었다. 그의 시간여행은 과거로의 여행이었다. 과거의 민족혼을 현대에 되살리려는 의도를 가지고 그는 고대 아일랜드로 회귀하는 과거로의 여행을 시도하였다. 또한 어 쉰의 시간여행은 영원한 생명을 탐색하는 탐색여행이었다. 이 시가 독립적으로의 가치 보다는 후기시의 원형으로서의 가치가 더욱 크다는 점을 밝히려고 하였다.

This article deals with Oisin’s time travel considering critics’ positive motives. Oisin’s time travel was back to the past. With the intention to revive the old Irish spirits in the present, he tries to go back to the ancient Ireland. Also, his travel is to quest for everlasting life. This essay is an attempt to demonstrate that this work has more value as a model for later poems than itself being a work.
