삼백초의 생육 특성을 구명하여 체계적인 재배기술을 확립하기 위한 기초 자료를 얻고자 실험을 수행한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 지상부 생육은 정식 후 165일에 최고에 이르렀고, 건물율 및 엽면적지수 (LAI)도 29%와 4.04로 가장 높게 나타났다. 2. 근경의 생육은 정식 후 165일까지 꾸준히 증가 하였고, 이후는 둔화되는 경향 이었다. 3.근경의 건물중은 정식 후 180일에 961g/m2로 가장 높았고, 건물율은 정식 후 150일에 26%에 이르렀으며, 이후는 증가되지 않았다. 4. CGR, RGR및 NAR는 정식 후 150일에 높았고, 정식 165일 이후는 CGR 및 RGR의 증가량이 둔화되었으며, NAR는 감소되었다.

This experiment was carried out to get basic information on growth characteristics in the cultivation of Saururus Chinensis Baill. The results obtained were summarized as the follows. Growth of shoot was highest at 165 days after planting, percentage of dry matter and leaf area index(LAI) were highest 29% and 4.04 at 165 days after planting. Growth of root tuber was increased until 165 days after planting, after diminished. Dry matter weight of root tuber was highest of 961g/m2 at 180 days after planting and percentage of dry matter was highest of 26% at 150 days after planting, after was stabilized. CGR, RGR, and NAR were higher at 150 days afterplanting. After 165 days after planting, increment of CGR and RGR diminished and NAR decreased.
