북한산국립공원에서 이용객에 의한 자연환경의 변화 및 이용객 심리조사를 수행하기 위하여 야영장 및 피크닉 장소 18개소에 조사구를 설치하였다. 15개소에 대해서는 자연환경파괴조사를 하였고, 3개소(대동문지역, 북한산장지역, 인수산장지역)에 대해서는 폭10m의 belt transect을 설치하여 이용객에 의한 토양성질 및 식생구조에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며, 3개장소에서 설문을 통해 이용객심리를 조사하였다. Transect조사지에서 환경피해가 심한 중심지에서 숲속으로 거리가 멀어짐에 따라 토량경도, 100m2당 수목개체수, 하층 초본층의, 피도 유사도지수는 회귀관계가 성립되었다. 야영장중심에서 숲속으로 100~130m까지 인간에 의한 토양 및 식생의 번화가 있었다. 인간간섭에 내성이 강한 수종은 초록싸리, 국수나무, 다래, 노린재나무이었고, 약한 수종은 물푸레나무, 팥배나무, 진달래였다. 설문에 의한 심리적인 만족도조사를 하여 각 항목들의 요인분석을 직각회전방법에 의하여 실시한 결과, 북한산의 피크닉장소를 이용하는 이용객의 심리적 만족도에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 것(Factor I )은 물리적 인자로 화장실, 쓰레기통, 음료수에 관한 변량이 높게 부가되었다. 다음으로 영향을 미치는 것(Factor II )은 사회적 인자로 이용객의 혼잡도, 소음정도, 주변환경의 보전성이 높게 부가되어 있었다. 만족도에 의한 심리적인 수용력을 추정한 결과 25m2/인 이었다.

This study was excuted to measure the user's impact area of the Bukhan Mountain National Park. Eighteen sites of the campsite and the picnic area were sample to measure the impact rating of soil and vegetation. And three belt transects were sampled to analyze soil properties and vegetational change by the user's impact. Also user's psychology was investigated through questionnaires with the visitor and 726 answers were collected from May to June in 1987. The regression equation was significant between the distance and the soil hardness. individual number per 100m2, herb coverage and similarity index from the center of picnic area to the non-use site. The tolerant tree against user's impact are Lespedza maximowiczii. Stephanandra insica, Actinidia arguta Symplocos chinensis for. pilosa and the sensitive trees were Fraxinus rhy chophylla Sorbus alnifolia. and Rhodadendron mucronulatun. The facilities factor and social factor are the most affecting factors to User's psychology by the varimax rotated factor analysis. The carrying capacity of the picnic area was 25m2 per man by the degree of psychological satisfaction.
