한자는 이미 도구로서의 가치뿐 아니라, 동시에 문화로서의 가치를 가지고 있 다. 『문화요소』를 한자 교육 중에 접목한 가운데, 『도구』와『문화』라는 두 가지 효과를 모두 얻을 수 있었다. 특히 대학 학제에 이러한 교수 방법을 배합하여 3학년에서 4학년으로 변화하는 기제로 삼아, 대학은 한자 교육의 단원 속에 더 많은 문화 요소를 융합함으로써, 학생들로 하여금 문화적 요소를 더욱 침투하게 하는 가운데, 더욱 정확하게 한자 를 파악하고, 한자를 학습할 수 있게 할 수 있다. 나아가 학생들이 본국의 문화를 더욱 사랑하는 정서를 배양하게 할 수 있다. 본문은 필자가 교육을 시행하면서 기획한 한자 학습 단원을 예로 들어, 한자 학 습 과정 중 문화 요소를 융합시킬 필요성과 함께 기대되는 학습 효과를 설명하고 자 한다.

漢字既有｢工具｣價值，也同時兼具｢文化｣價值；把｢文化元素｣統整到漢字教學中，｢工具｣與｢文化｣是可以兼得的魚與熊掌。配合大學學制由三年轉變為四年的契機，大學在漢字教學單元中會融入更多文化元素，讓學生能在文化的浸潤下更精準地掌握漢字、學習漢字；進而培養學生熱愛本國文化的情懷。本文以筆者任教及籌畫的教學單元為例，說明在漢字學習課程中融入文化元素之必要及預期教學效果。

Chinese characters not only have its function but also have its cultural value. Both will be acquired when we properly incorporate cultural elements into Chinese language teaching. In time of emerging a new university undergraduate curriculum which will be moved from 3 towards 4 years, more diverse cultural elements will be included in the teaching of Chinese language so as to help students mastering Chinese characters and, at the same time, to cultivate their affections towards the culture of their home country. This paper will use a university course entitled “Differentiation of confusable words” as an example to illustrate how cultural elements incorporated into Chinese language curriculum and its learning outcomes.
