본고는 한문 소설 작품을 제재로 교수 학습 모형을 모색함으로써 지나치게 언어적 접근에 치우쳐 학습자로 하여금 흥미를 잃게 하고 문학 작품 본래의 교수 학습 목표에서 멀어지는 한문과 교수 학습의 개선에 기여하고자 한다. 한문학 교재 중 한문 소설의 수업 모형을 구안하기 위하여 먼저 교수 학습의 제재가 되는 「허생전」과 「양반전」에 대한 분석과 해석을 하였다. 다음으로 차시별 교수 학습 계획을 제사하고 교수 학습 지도안을 구안하였다. 이는 한문과 교육과정과 관련하여 한문과에서의 문학 교육의 방향을 모색하기 위한 시도이다. 지금까지 문학으로보다는 어학교재로 접근하기 쉬웠던 소설 교재를 문학작품으로 접근하려는 것이다. 이는 앞으로 한문과 수업에서 학생들의 흥미를 유발하고 타 교과와의 연계를 통해 학습 효과를 높이며, 창의적이고 종합적인 사고력을 기르는 데는 물론 한문과에서 궁극적으로 지향하는 전통문화의 계승과 발전이라는 교육 목표를 달성하는 데 의의가 있다. 이에는 교재를 연구하고 분석하여 수업 현장에 맞게 재구성하며 학습 자료를 준비하는 교사의 노력은 물론 학생들의 적극적인 수업 참여와 활발한 학습 활동이 전제되어야 한다. 옛 것의 답습이 아닌 새로운 해석을 통해서 고전을 접근할 때, 한문 교육의 설자리가 넓어지고 갈 길이 밝아질 것이다.

The objective of this paper is to come up with a new model for a teaching-learning method based on Korean ancient novels as a teaching material which were written in Chinese characters. Making a contribution to the improvement of the teaching and learning method of Chinese in high schools. The existing methods are discredited with having led students to lose interest in Chinese by putting too much emphasis on the linguistic approach rather than the liberty works themselves. To achieve the objective, to begin with, I adopted[Heosaengeon] and [Yangbanjeon], the Korean ancient novels written in Chinese characters, as teaching materials and tried to analyze and interpret them. Then I laid out the lesson plans for each class according to the periods. This is to aim at a new orientation of the process of teaching and learning Chinese in a more suitable and effective direction and to approach the teaching materials-literary works in Chinese-from a literary point of view, not a linguistic one. As a result, the new orientation will stimulate students’ interest in Chinese and help them build more creative and synthetic thinking abilities. It will be conducive to achieving the ultimate goal of ‘succession and development of traditional culture’ in Chinese education as well. It is needless to say that it is a prerequisite for achieving the goal that teachers have to make every effort to look for, study, analyze and then reconstruct the teaching materials so as to be suitable for the classrooms and that students also have to actively take part in the learning activities.
