최근 한국어교육은 언어 사용 능력 향상과 함께 문화능력 향상도 중시하고 있는 추세이다. 문화능력이란 폭넓은 영역을 포함하는 것으로, 문화의 다양한 영역에 대한 이해를 기반으로 적용할 수 있는 능력까지 포함하는 것이다. 본고에서는 문화 영역 중에서 문학 영역, 그리고 그 안에서 고전문학을 교수학습하고자 한다. 학습 대상은 부산외국어대학교 학부생으로 학부 전공필수 과목인 <한국 전통문화의 이해> 수업에서 한국 고전문학을 한 부분으로 설정하여 내용을 선정하고 그 실제를 진행해 보았다. 본 수업을 통해 들은 한국 고전문학을 이해하고 감상하는 활동을 통하여 문화능력의 향상과 더불어 언어능력의 향상도 이룰 수 있었다. 앞으로 더욱 다양한 한국 고전문학의 교수학습을 위하여 유에게 교수학습 가능한 수업 내용이 제시되고, 이를 통한 그들의 문화능력과 언어능력이 함께 신장되기를 기대한다.

Recently Korean education is focused on developing communication ability with culture competence as well. Culture is including various fields and culture competence is understanding and conjugation of that various fields. This study is about contents and teaching methods of Korean classic literature for foreign students into Korean literature into Korean culture. Learning objective is students who major Korean and Korean literature in Busan University of Foreign Studies and the course is <Understanding of Korean traditional culture>. With this course students were expected to learn culture competence with communication ability naturally. From now on as developing various contents and teaching methods of Korean classic literature for foreign students so that the students learn Korean culture, culture competence and communication ability altogether.
