이 논문에서는 일본의 고등학교와 대학교에서의 한국어교육의 현황을 한국어 과목의 개설 상황 및 학습자 수의 관점으로 살펴보고 그 문제점을 지적하였다. 최근 일본의 고등학교나 대학교에서 한국어 과목, 그리고 한국어 학습자 수가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 고등학교와 대학교에서의 한국어 교육은 공통점도 있으나 다른 문제가 있기도 하다. 고등학교에서는 교육의 기준이 없는 것과 한국어를 포함한 제2외국어 영역이 없는 것이 큰 문제점이다. 대학교에서는 전문성이 있는 교원의 확보 및 소인원수 교육의 실현이 과제가 되고 있다.

This paper studied the present states and problems of Korean language education in Japan. Recently classes of the Korean language have increased at high-school and university in Japan. Therefore I analyzed various data about two points of the next. (1)The number of schools which can learn Korean language. (2)The number of people learning Korean language. During several years the Korean education in Japan spreaded rapidly, but there is the problem that should have been got changed and improved. For development of the Korean education in Japan, it is important that these problems are settled.
