본 연구는 평택시립안중도서관과 지역 주민의 적극적 참여로 이루어진 정보 서비스, 독서 및 문화 프로그램 추진 사례를 통해 지역 공동체 중심 공간으로써 공공도서관과 사서의 역할을 되짚어보고 시민들과 함께 추진한 공공도서관 프로그램의 세 가지 방향을 중심으로 지역 도서관 프로그램의 서비스 방향을 제시하고 있다.

The purpose of present paper Using Pyeongtaek city AnJung Library as an example, this study focuses on successful information services, programs and efforts improving relationship with local community. Also, this study is to outline the role of public library and librarian through best practices of information services, reading programs and other various kinds of culture programs which co-worked with community members at Pyeongtaek city Anjung Library.
