본 연구는 전라북도에 위치한 박물관 중 대지면적 10,000㎡이상, 연 관람인원 50,000명 이상인 국·공·사립 박물관 6개관을 대상으로 옥외공간 조경시설의 현황을 현지 조사하여 옥외공간의 조경시설 특성을 파악하고 실제 이용자들에게 설문조사를 통하여 선호도 및 만족도를 통해 문제점을 분석하고자 한다. 이는 향후 박물관의 옥외공간 조경시설을 계획 및 설계하고자 하는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용하는 데에 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 도출된 조경시설 선호도 분석 결과, 휴게시설은 벤치를, 조경식물은 유실수·조경수를, 수경시설은 분수형을, 편익시설은 옥외화장실을 선호하였다. 전체 만족도에 영향을 준 조경시설은 조경식물, 수경시설, 안내시설, 조명시설, 편익시설의 순서로 나타났다. 옥외 조경시설의 이용활성화를 위해서 지속적이고 체계적인 유지관리 대책이 요구된다. 옥외공간 프로그램 중 체험 프로그램의 이용만족도가 높았으며 프로그램 참여시기는 봄을 선호하였다. 옥외공간 프로그램의 전체적인 만족도는 보통수준이었다. 옥외공간 프로그램 활성화를 위해서는 구체적이고 다양한 프로그램이 요구되며 이를 시행하기 위해서는 지역 자원봉사자 및 해설가를 배치해야 한다고 사료된다.
The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics of landscape facilities in the outdoor space of museums by use of a field survey to assess the present status and to analyze problems through a questionnaire survey of real users The targets were six national, public, and private museums located in Jeollabuk-do Province with land area totaling more than 10,000 ㎡ and with annual visitors numbering more than 50,000 people. The results can be utilized as basic data necessary for planning and designing landscape facilities in the outdoor space of museums in the future. From analyzing the preference for the landscape facilities, a bench, fruit trees/gardening trees, fountain, outdoor toilet were the preferred lounging area, landscape plants, waterscape facility, convenience facility. Influence on overall satisfaction of landscape facilities in the landscape plants, waterscape facilities, information facilities, lighting facilities, and convenience facilities in order. To increase utilization of the landscape facilities in the outdoor space, a continuous and systematic maintenance measure is considered to be necessary. As a result of analyzing satisfaction with outdoor space program, the experience of learning in a program was preferred and spring was the most desired time for the program. Overall satisfaction with outdoor space program was moderate level. To revitalize the outdoor space program, specific and diverse programs are essential. To implement this, community volunteers and commentators need to be included.
