최근 사회복지실천(Social Work Practice)에 대한 연구들이 국․내외적으로 활발하게 증가하고 있다. 실증분석에 기초한 연구와 더불어 방법론적으로 더욱 정교한 연구가 이루어지지만 패러다임의 흐름과 관점, 그리고 이론과 모델은 아직 전통적인 사회복지실천모델이 커다란 변화 없이 적용되고 있는 상황이다. 그러나 기존의 사회복지실천의 이론과 모델은 지식정보사회에서 개인 및 사회, 그리고 국가 간의 상황변화에 따른 사회변동을 이해하는 데 한계가 있다. 그러므로 본 연구는 사회복지실천의 발달에 영향을 미친 이데올로기(Ideology)와 사회복지실천과의 관계를 규명하고 사회복지실천에 근간이 되는 전통적 방법론을 역사적으로 전개하면서 사회복지실천의 시대적 변화의 당위성을 찾는다. 특히 사회복지실천 발달현상으로서의 통합적 방법과 문제해결과정모델의 등장배경 및 이론적 기반을 통해 역량강화모델의 유용성을 검토하고 새로운 사회복지실천이론으로 대두되고 있는 독일의 사회학자 Jurgen Habermas의 비판이론(Critical theory)인 의사소통이론을 통해 새로운 사회복지실천에 대해 이론적 함의를 고찰한다. 결론적으로 사회복지실천의 발달원인에 대한 고찰과 비교분석을 통해 새로운 이론적 틀을 제시하고자 한다.

Recent researches on Social Work Practice are actively increasing domestically and internationally. The more elaborate research is performed methodologically along with a research based on empirical analysis. However, a flow & perspective and a theory & model in paradigm are in the situation that the model of traditional Social Work Practice is being applied yet without a big change. However, the existing theory and model in Social Work Practice have limitation in understanding a social change according to a situational change among individual, society and nation in the knowledge information society. Therefore, this study closely examines relationship between ideology, which had influenced development in Social Work Practice, and Social Work Practice, and searches for necessity of a historical change in Social Work Practice while historically developing traditional methodology, which becomes the foundation of Social Work Practice. Especially, it examines usefulness of Empowerment Model through the integrative method as the developmental phenomenon in Social Work Practice, and through the appearance background and theoretical foundation in the problem-solving process model, and considers theoretical implication on new Social Work Practice through communication theory, a German sociologist Jurgen Habermas's critical theory, which is being emerged as new theory of Social Work Practice. In conclusion, the aim is to suggest new theoretical frame through considering and comparatively analyzing a cause for development in Social Work Practice.
