이 연구는 대안학교 학습자의 만족도를 분석하고자 한다. 대안학교의 교육 만족도에 대해서 많은 사람들이 궁금해 하고 있으나 정작 학습자를 대상으로 실증적으로 분석한 연구는 많지 않다. 이 연구에서는 K지역 대안학교 학습자 만족도를 조사하여 발전적 대안교육체제를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 대안학교 학습자 269명을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하고 그 결과를 분석하였으며 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다.첫째, 전반적으로 대안학교에 만족하는 학생들이 많았으며, 그 중에서도 처음부터 대안학교에 진학하여 다니고 있는 학생들의 만족이 일반학교에 비해 더 높게 나왔다. 둘째, 대안학교 학습자들은 규모가 작은 대안학교에서 특색 있는 교육과정이나 프로그램, 교과 외 활동을 통하여 더 만족스런 학교로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 앞으로 교육행정기관에서는 학교를 떠난 학생들이 지향하는 이념에 적합한 학교를 찾아갈 수 있도록 체계적으로 안내하거나 취업을 지원하여야 한다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the learner satisfaction about alternative school system in K-metropolitan city. In this study, we tried to find a solution to improve the alternative school system.The survey was administered to 269 alternative school students in K-metropolitan city by researcher' visit and interviewed by assistants. The collected data was analysed by chi-square, t-test, F-test of SPSS WIN 17.0.Alternative school students was very satisfied in their alternative school life than earlier school for teachers' supports and surroundings. We should changed our views about school drop-out of students as their survival struggles for more good life. And support programs within school staffs and teachers should be activated through collaboration with alternative schools in order to prevent such problems. Eventually, the school should be more flexible to be capable of offering students with a larger range of educational opportunity.
