과거 오르델리우스가 지도를 제작할 때에 비해 현재의 오픈스트리트맵은 위성사진의 촬영으로 인해 현실과 매우 흡사하게 만들수 있게 되었다.오픈스트리트 맵은 모든 사람들이 그들이 필요로 하는 공간적 정보에 언제,어디서나 쉽게 접근할 수 있다. 지도는 평면에 제작되기 시작하여,디지털 공간에 공간 정보를 표시하기에 이르렀다.지도는 더 많은 사람들이 보다 많은 공간 정보를 더쉽게 이용할 수 있는 방법으로 발전해왔다.

OpenstreetMap had paid less effort more than the first morden map; this is made by Ortelius. And that is similar extremly with real, because of satellite image. Whrerby everyone has access to the spatial information that he needs, anytime and anywhere. The first map started on plat surface, finally that is enhanced level of marking spatial information. Map has developed forward everyone use spatial information more easily.
