백색의 꽃을 피우는 ‘백령 1호’는 구근정식으로 가을철절화용으로 육성된 신나팔나리(일명 씨백합)이다. 세력이강한 ‘진산’의 선발계통들과 나팔나리인 ‘White American’을 2006년에 교잡하였다. 25개의 후대에서 세력이 왕성한‘0705-2’를 선발하였다. 이 ‘0705-2’ 계통에 개화방향을 상향으로 만들기 위하여 기존에 선발한 ‘Raizan Herald’를여교잡하였다. 최종적으로 상향성인 ‘0705-2-5’ 계통이 선발되어 ‘백령1호’로 명명되었다. 강원도 강릉과 춘천지역에서 2009년과 2010년에 지역 적응시험을 거쳤다. ‘백령1호’는 파종으로부터 개화까지 약 174일 소요되는 조생종으로 노지에서 잎마름병에 매우 강한 편이다. 초장은약 97.3cm로 중간정도이고 종자의 발아율은 98%이상을나타낸다. 구근을 여름철에 식재할 경우 가을철에 품질이 좋은 절화생산이 가능하였다.

The white flowered ‘Baikryungilho’ is a cultivar ofLilium formolongi, commonly known as seed propagatinglily, for cut flower production in autumn season by plantingbulbs. Crosses were conducted between the selectedlines of L. formolongi 西村and L. longiflorum ‘WhiteAmerican’ in 2009. The vigorous line ‘0705-2’ was selectedamong 25 combinations, and it was backcrossed with theselected line of ‘Raizan Herald’ to make the flower directionupright. Finally, an upward flowering line ‘0705-2-5’ wasselected and named as ‘Backryungilho’. The evaluation ofmorphological characteristics was investigated from 2009 to2010 in Chuncheon and Gangneung, Kangwon province ofKorea. ‘Backryungilho’ an upward flowering cultivar required174 days to flower from germination under open fieldconditions and exhibited high resistance to Botrytis. Thisnewly developed cultivar had a plant height of 97.3 cm withhigher germination percentage (98%). This cultivar alsoproved excellent cut flower due to its long flowering stalk.
