이 논문은 예비 초등학교 교사의 식물 관련 경험과 농업문해가 농업에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시도한 연구이다. 이를 위해 연구모형을 설정하고 2012년 1학기 초 A 대학 초등교육과 2학년을 대상으로 조사하였고 387명의 질문지가 분석에 활용되었다. 빈도, 비율, 평균, 표준편차, 왜도, 그리고 첨도 등의 기술통계와 상관관계, 신뢰도분석, 그리고 구조방정식분석의 방법을 활용해 자료를 분석하였고 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 연구에서 설정한 변인 간 구조모형은 예비 초등학교 교사의 식물 관련 경험, 농업문해, 그리고 농업에 대한 태도의 인과관계를 타당하게 예측하였다. 예비 초등학교 교사의 농업에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 변인은 식물 관련 경험과 농업문해였으며, 농업문해가 상대적으로 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 식물 관련 경험은 농업문해를 매개로 하여 농업에 대한 태도에 간접적인 영향도 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 초등학교 교사를 양성하는 과정에서 농업에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 함양시키기 위해 식물 관련 경험과 지식을 습득할 기회를 확대할 수 있도록 별도의 실습 프로그램을 운영하거나 교내 시설을 활용한 체험 학습 기회를 확대할 필요가 있다. 그리고 이는 초등학교 식물교육의 활성화에 작은 밑거름이 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to identify a causal relationship among attitudes toward agriculture, experiences related to plant and agricultural literacy of pre-service elementary school teachers. The data were collected by visiting. A total of 387 copies of questionnaires were used for data analysis after data cleaning. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. To estimate parameters of proposed research model, structural equation modeling analysis was used. All data analysis was accomplished using the SPSS 15.0 statistics packages and AMOS 5.0 version. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the fit index of structural equation model among attitudes toward agriculture, experiences related to plant and agricultural literacy of pre-service elementary school teachers were identified suitably. Second, experiences related to plant and agricultural literacy had a significantly positive direct effect on attitudes toward agriculture of pre-service elementary school teachers. Third, experiences related to plant of pre-service elementary teachers had a significantly indirect effect on attitudes toward agriculture through agricultural literacy.
