본 연구에서는 화훼장식품 해석의 다양성을 도출하기 위하여 '동(動)', '숲속에 내리는 비', '낯설음' 이라는 각각의 원제를 지닌 화훼장식품을 가지고 작품의 제목, 외관, 그리고 소재에 대한 감상자의 시각을 조사하고 분석했다. 감상자가 부여한 제목은 3작품 모두 대부분 작가의 의도와는 무관하였다. 각 작품에 대해 감상자가 부여한 이미지 제목을 이미지 유형별로 분류하여 분석한 결과 시각적 이미지가 가장 높았다. 그 다음은 촉각, 미각, 후각, 청각, 공감각 순이었다. 외관에 대한 감상자의 시각을 이미지 유형별로 분류한 결과 역시 시각적 이미지가 가장 높았다. 그 다음은 관념, 공감각, 자연물 등의 순이었다. 작품의 소재에 대한 이미지를 분석한 결과에서도 시각적 이미지가 가장 높았으며 다음으로는 자연물과 관념의 이미지가 높았다. 이상에서와 같이 동일한 화훼잘식품에 대해서도 감상자들의 시각은 다양하게 존재하였다. 이에 따라 예술의 보편적 특성 가운데 작품의 의미 전달과 해석의 다양성을 입증할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 작가와 감상자간의 소통 및 작품의 해석에 크게 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

In this study appreciators' viewpoints of title, appearance, and material was researched and analysed to induce diversity of interpretation for 3 pieces of flower design works with original title of 'Movement', 'Rain falling in the wood', and 'Unfamiliarity'. Most of titles endowed by appreciators were inconsistent with original title for each work. Visual image represented the highest percentage in titles endowed by appreciators for each work from the result of the analysis based on the classification by image types. And following were in sequence of tactual sense, sense of taste, sense of hearing, and synesthesia. Result of image classification for appreciators' viewpoints for appearance of each work showed the highest percentage in visual sense as well. And following were in sequence of concept synesthesi natural object and so on. Analysis of image type for material of each work represented the highest percentage in sequence of visual sense, natural object and concept. From above result appreciators' viewpoints were diverse for the same flower design work. Accordingly diversity in conveyance of meaning and interpretation for work was verified. The result of this study will contribute to mutual understanding between maker and appreciators as well as interpretation for work.
