본 연구의 목적은 각 건설사별 모델하우스에서 제시하는 실내 디자인을 종합 분석하여 국내 중소형 아파트 실내 디자인의 현황 및 트렌드를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 사례에서 나타난 실내 디자인 스타일은 미니멀 스타일(5 사례), 모던과 내추럴 스타일(각 4사례)이였다. 둘째, 바닥, 벽, 천장은 사용한 소재와 색상에 있어서는 부분적으로 차이를 보이지만 대부분의 사례에서 내추럴 오크(oak) 계통 목재 사용이 많았다. 벽은 화이트 민무늬 벽지를 기본으로 하되, 포인트가 될 수 있는 아트월을 사용하였다. 천장은 화이트 민무늬 벽지를 기본으로 하며, 모든 사례에서 단순한 사각형태의 우물천장이 나타났다. 욕실은 대부분 같은 색상과 재질의 타일을 바닥과 벽에 함께 사용해 일체감을 주되, 포인트가 될 수 있는 다양한 색상과 패턴의 데코타일을 사용하였다. 셋째, 조명은 모든 사례에서 기본적인 사각 형태의 실링 라이트를 사용하고 있으며, 거실에는 플로어 스탠드와 테이블 스탠드를, 침실은 테이블 스탠드와 침대 하단이나 헤드 상단 부분에 간접조명을 추가적으로 설치하였다. 넷째, 소품의 경우 B, E G 등의 사례처럼 공간의 전체 색상, 톤 등과 유사한 색상, 재질의 소품을 배치해 자연스러운 분위기를 연출하거나, 이와는 반대로 C, D, G 등의 사례와 같이 공간에 포인트가 될 수 있는 원색이나 상반된 재질, 형태의 소품을 배치함으로써 생동감을 주는 방식을 사용하는 것으로 조사되었다.

The main objectivity of this research is to understand the interior design trend of medium and small size apartment as analyzing interior design in show house. The final result is as follows. First, the most frequent interior style that showed in research subjects was minimal style followed by modern and natural style. Second, the material natural oak was used in the floor for most appartement except two, which polishing tile was used. The flat white wall paper was the main material used in the wall for every apartments with the art wall for a focal point purpose. The ceiling also used the white wall paper with the well-shaped ceiling in every research subjects. In the case of bathroom, while the same color and material was used in both floor and wall in order to create the sense of unity, the tile with special color and pattern was also used. Third, the basic rectangle shaped ceiling light was used in every apartments. But additional lightings in the living room(both floor and table stand), and bed room(both table stand and indirect illumination in the bottom of bed and the top of bed headboards) were also used. Fourth, the decoration props was applied by different way. The one method was to create natural atmosphere as applying the props like vase, art work that are similar to the color and the material in overall mood of the space. The other way is to apply props with bold color and material that are different to the color and the material used in floor, wall and ceiling in order to bring out the liveliness of the space.
