이 연구는 이청준의 글쓰기 과정을 리쾨르의 해석학적 관점에서 살펴보고, 이청준의 글쓰기 과정과 기독교의 구원과정의 상동구조를 해명하고 있다. 이청준은 정신적 이상을 다룬 소설들을 통해 자신의 문학적 테마를 추구한 작가이다. 그의 글쓰기는 심리적 외상에 대한 공포의 제거 과정으로 정신 속에 자리 잡은 혼돈의 상태에서 원초의 질서에 복구하고자 하는 지향이 나타난다. 이청준 은 소문의 벽 에 나타난 글쓰기 과정을 통해 존재의 증명이나 구원을 통한 회복과 치유가 가능하게 한다는 것을 확인시켜주고 있다. 트라우마에 대한 기억이 통제 불가능한 사건이 아니라 형태와 의미를 부여하여 자아를 재창조하고 개조 할 수 있는 기회가 된다는 것을 보여준다. 이청준 문학에서 소문의 벽은 정신 적 외상의 뿌리를 드러내고 있다고 볼 때, 그의 병리적 증후에 대한 의미를 규명하는 중요한 연구가 될 것이다. 또한 이청준의 글쓰기는 과정에 천착하며 치 유를 향해 간다는 점에서 기독교의 구원과정과 닮아 있다. 이청준의 구원론은 신에 대한 일방적 복종을 통해서가 아니라, 인간의 주체적인 역할을 강조하는, 의지를 지닌 인간의 역할에 비중을 두고 있음을 드러낸다.

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate homogeneous structures of Chung-joon Lee’s writing process and christian redemption process while examining Lee’s writing process in light of Paul Ricoeur’s interpretive standpoint. In Lee’s writings, there is a tendency to restore from the chaotic state within the mind to the primal order as a removal process of fears towards psychological trauma. Lee verifies the viability of recovery and healing through the verification of being or redemption through the writing process exhibited in The Wall of Rumors. He does not display the memory towards the trauma as an uncontrollable event, but as an opportunity to recreate and remodel one’s ego by according forms and meanings to the trauma itself. Lee’s writings, moreover, resemble christian redemption process since his writings inquire into the process and proceed towards the healing.
