Prediction and Comparison of Visual Performance Using Optical Transfer Function
Finite model eye with four aspheric surface, photopic VlSlon, and emmetropia was designed. The visual performance of model eye is predicted and compared. Designed model eye has variable pupil diarneter from 1 mm to 8 mm theoretically. At pupil diameter 4 mm, longitudinal ray aberration of model eye is 0.63 D. At wavelength between 470 nm and 650 nm, longitudinal chromatic ray aberration is 1.15 D. Airy disk diarneters are deterrnined by using point spread function and f-number. The visual performance of model eye of emmetropia, -0.50 D , -0.75 D, -1.00 D, -1.50 D, and -2.00 D myopia is predicted, and compared with clinical subjective refraction
