목 적: 본 연구는 안경광학과 교육과정의 질적 향상을 위해 학내·외의 교육과정에 대한 요구를 바탕으로 대학 전공 교육의 개선점을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 방 법: 설문을 통해 경기도, 경남, 전남, 전북에 소재 대학의 재학생 507명과 서울시, 대전시, 경기도, 전북에 근무하는 안경사 138명을 대상으로 안경광학과 전공교과목에 대한 요구도를 비교 ·분석하였다. 결과: 안광학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 기하광학 과목이 가장 높았으며, 두 집단(재학생과 안경사)간 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .01). 안과학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 안질환 과목이 가장 높았으며, 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .01). 안경학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 안경재료학 과목이 가장 높았으며, 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .05). 검안학 영역 요구도는 재학생들의 굴절검사학 과목 평균점수가 4점 이상으로 가장 높았으며, 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보여주었다(p < .05). 4개 전공 영역의 요구도 비교에서는 2집단 모두 검안학 영역이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 안경학, 안과학, 안광학 영역 순으로 나타났다. 결론: 안경사는 실습 4개 과목 중에서 굴절검사 과목 확대 요구도가 재학생 보다 높게 나타났다. 이들의 요구를 전공 교육에 반영하여 안경원에서 보다 유용한 시력검사를 할 수 있도록 굴절검사와 관련된 과목의 확대와 강화가 요구된다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to notify improvements needed in major subjects to make Ophthalmic optic major curriculum qualitatively better, based on demand for basic subjects on and off the campus. Methods: By using questionnaires to 507 college students who are attending colleges in Gyunggi province, Gyungnam province, Jeonnam province, Jeonbuk province; and 138 opticians who were working in Seoul, Daejeon, Gyunggi province, Jeonbuk province. Results: Students demanded Geometric optics course most in Ocular optics courses, which has significant difference between the two groups (students and opticians) (p < .01). Students demanded Ocular disease course most in Ophthalmology courses, and had significant difference between the two groups (p < .05). In Optometry course, students scored more than 4 points high than average score in refraction optometry, which has significant difference between the two groups (p < .05). Among the four major subjects, The most demanded course was Optometry course for both students and opticians, Ophthalmic optics follows, Ophthalmology, Optometry comes next. Conclusions: Opticians demanded to expand more courses in Refraction optometry in practice courses than students. This requirement should be reflected on major education, Expansion and reinforcement in major subjects related to Optometry is needed in basic subjects as they had the demand in optician`s for more useful optometry.
