이 연구의 목적은 고등학생의 물리와 생물에 관한 관점을 비교하고, 성별, 과학 성적, 수능 과학 선택 과목이 물리와 생물에 관한 관점 차이에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 228명의 자연과정 고등학생을 대상으로 검사지 VASS를 사용하여 물리와 생물에 관한 관점을 조사하 였다. 학생의 과학의 본성에 대한 이해는 과학 영역에 따라 다르게 나타나 영역 특이적인 성향 을 보였다. 즉, 학생들이 물리 지식 및 학습에 대한 인식은 생물 지식 및 학습에 대한 인식과 차이를 보였다. 이와 같은 물리와 생물에 관한 관점 차이는 과학 성적, 성별, 물리 선택, 생물 선택에 따라 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 과학 성적이 높을수록, 여자보다는 남자가, 수능에 서 물리를 선택한 경우가 물리에 관한 관점이 생물에 관한 관점보다 높았으며, 수능에서 생물 을 선택한 경우는 생물에 관한 관점이 물리에 관한 관점보다 높았다.

The purpose of this study is to compare high school student's views about physics and biology and to explore how gender, science achievement and optional science subject of CSAT impact the difference of their views about physics and biology. The views about physics and biology of 228 high school students at science course were surveyed using VASS questionnaire. Students' views about physics and biology were different, and their understanding of the nature of science were domain-specific. The differences between their views about physics and biology were influenced by students' gender, science achievement and whether they choose physics or biology at CSAT. That is, when their science achievement were higher, in the cases of male rather than female, and when their optional courses were physics, their views about physics were higher than their views about biology, and if they choose biology at CSAT, they had higher views about biology than views about physics.
