This project which was used in KOICA Funds took into account international standards and relevant system of ship safety management through feasibility study and establishment of the ship safety management system and transfer of the ship survey skills and training of relevant government officers from 2007 into 2008. As a consequence, it resulted in the prosperity of maritime technology for ship construction, ship design and ship survey system and improvement of the relevant regulatory system of ship safety management, in particular, in the field of a registration system for fishing vessels and domestic ship survey system. This paper introduce the successful project through the technical cooperation and transfer in the fields of maritime safety and environment between the Republic of Korea as a member of A group Council of IMO and the Algeria in Africa which recently carry out the large scale of a following project.
