This paper aims to show how theoretical linguistic research can be easily applied to foreign language education. We present some typical errors committed by Korean learners of English as a foreign language which all involve inappropriate use of temporal adverbials in one way or another. We illustrate how the notion of aktionsarten can help identify and correct these problem sentences.
