본 연구는 과정중심의 창의성 분석에서 벗어나 결과물 측면에서 창의성의 개념적 특성을 분 석하고, 이를 기반으로 총체적 관점에서 창의성과 무용교육 간의 미학적 관계성을 검토하는데 연구목적을 두고 있다. 창의성은 독창성과 가치성이라는 개념적 특성을 가지며, 독창성은 기존 의 규칙, 관례와의 갈등과정에서 변화 또는 초월하는 것을 통해, 그리고 가치성은 일정한 미적 가치판단기준에 의거해서 발생한다. 따라서 창의적 무용교육이 되기 위해서는 기존의 규칙 및 관례, 즉 무용기법 및 테크닉에 대한 습득, 그리고 무용분야에서 광범위하게 받아들여지는 미적 판단기준에 대한 학습이 기본적 요건으로 제공되어야 한다. 또한 실제 무용활동이 수행되는 과 정에서 창의적 무용표현이 이루어지기 위해서는 표현주제, 표현움직임, 표현의도 및 배경, 그리고 표현장애요인에 대한 주의 깊은 집중이 강조될 필요가 있다. 한편 창의적 무용교육이 수행될 경 우, 특정한 미적 기준이 학생들에게 강요되지 않도록 할 필요가 있으며, 미적 기준에 대한 학습은 무용표현활동과 구분되어 실시되기 보다는 실제 무용체험을 통해 습득되는 것이 바람직하다.

The purpose of this study is to articulate the conceptual traits of creativity from the perspective of‘creative production’ and to analyze the aesthetic relationship between creativity and dance education in an holistic context. Creativity possesses the conceptual traits of originality and valuableness. Originality arises when a creative activity comes into conflict with the extant rules and conventions defining the field in question, and resulting tensions are resolved through modification or transcendence. Valuableness is determined by evaluating a creative product through a certain criteria in the relevant realm or situation. In order to develop dance creativity, then, students must not only learn about existing dance rules and conventions, that is, dance skills and techniques, but also relevant evaluative criteria in dance education. Furthermore, to facilitate the process of dance expression, it is necessary to encourage students to pay more attention to subjects pertaining to the process by which dance expression comes about, such as expression concepts, behaviors, goals, backgrounds, and difficulties. Regarding the teaching method in dance education, students should not be forced to take a specific criteria of value judgement. It is also recommended, finally, that the study of aesthetic criteria behind value judgements is done through activities of dance expression.
