남한에서 출토된 유절식 석검을 대상으로 형식분류, 시기별 전개양상과 특징에 대해 연구해 보았다. 유 절식 석검의 형식분류는 요부의 형태와 병 하단부의 형태를 기준으로 하였다. 유절식 석검의 분석결과 5 식으로 구분되며 청동기시대 전기 후반에 출현하여 후기후반까지 유행한다. 시기별 전개양상과 특징에 대한 분석 결과 낙동강을 거점으로 하는 경상도에서 출토율이 가장 높게 확인되는 것이 주목된다. 한편 초현기 유절식 석검은 도씨검의 절대와 외형적 유사점이 확인되는 것으로 보아 그 상관관계를 추정할 수 있다. 유절식 석검은 당시에 유행하던 석검의 영향을 받은 것으로 추정 되는데 후기 전반에는 이단병식 석검의 외형적 유사성이 확인되나 후기 후반에는 일단병식 석검과의 외 형적 유사성이 간취된다. 또 유절식 석검은 낙동강 상류유역의 경상북도와 낙동강 하류유역의 경상남도 에서 시기를 달리해서 유행하며 유절식의 전파 또는 제작 기술의 전파는 수계를 따라 따라서 이루어진 것 으로 추정된다. 남강 유역권에서 유절식 석검이 확인되지 않는 점 등은 이러한 의견이 반증된 결과라고 판단된다.

The goal of this research is the classification of double burled hilt type stone dagger and its development and characteristics in South Korea. The criteria of the classification was the form of concave which is between the double hilt and bottom part of handle. As the result, double burled hilt type stone dagger can be classified in five phases, appeared late first half of the Bronze Age and manufactured until early second half of the Bronze Age. Also the high excavation percentage of its type of dagger in Gyeongsang Province, which the main point is in Nakdong-River, drew attention. On the other hand, early type of double burled hilt type stone dagger has similarity between stick of Taoshijian ; therefore this can think about interrelation of this two different type of dagger. It is thinkable that the double burled hilt type stone dagger had some influence from the dagger actively manufactured during the Bronze Age. Through the study the early type of double burled hilt type stone dagger was influenced by the double stepped-root type dagger, but in the late Bronze Age from stepped-root type stone dagger. Also the double burled hilt type stone dagger was prevalent in different time between Gyeongsangbuk Province and Gyeongsangnam Province. It presumes that the technique had been handed down from Gyeongsangbuk Province to Gyeongsangnam Province by Nakdong-River. Moreover, the double burled hilt type stone dagger is not found in Nam-River, this can be another evidence why Gyeongsang Province has high percentage of its dagger.
